Still Waters

Hello ladies hope you don’t mind me posting in your forum but i have found reading them an enlightening process.

I am no spring chicken and have some experience with women even if it has been a bit thin on the ground the last few years, hence being on these forums. That said i have learnt a thing or two about what goes on under the ‘still water’ veneer you ladies show to us fellows.

What do i mean by this?

Most of us men spend a lot time working out if women are interested in us and if it worth taken the risk of rejection, we seem to miss most of the subtly signals you send as we to busy looking at that beautiful veneer that says don’t touch.

Don’t get wrong i have met some predatory women that make you feel like the hunted, but reading these forums it seems that you ladies can be as enthusiastic as us fellows even though we come at it from different angles.

The language women use can be confusing to a fellow as well:

  • yes = no
  • no = yes
  • Of course you can go out with your mates = you do you will be sleeping on the sofa
  • does my bum look big = i am beautiful yes

My point, as i am rambling a bit, is that things would run smoother (quicker) if woman were a bit more direct and sometimes said what they thought and felt, i know this won’t happen as it is part of mating game.

Looking forward to learning what else lies beneath those ‘Still Waters?’

cool story, bro

In my experience, this is part of the “women are so much work” mythology that guys like to propagate, and really isn’t grounded in reality.

Hey BubbleCatcher, things would also run more smoothly and quickly if guys did the same.

Are women supposed to say “OH! Now I get it! You’ve changed my life!” and promptly rush out, speak plainly and openly to every man they have an interest in, only to find out most of them don’t like that and are turned off?

I guess I don’t understand your point here? These really aren’t profound concepts that have not surfaced before. Some women do this, some don’t.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but with me no = no and yes = yes. I never play the passive aggressive games of telling my husband one thing and then punishing him for it. I think most intelligent women would find that kind of behavior appalling. And I never fish for compliments.

And in my experience still waters = shallow waters and there really is no depth. If you want depth, look for depth, not mystery.

Maybe this should be moved to the lounge since it has nothing to do with pheromones?
