The Coughing/Sneezing Reaction...I figured out why it happens

Not sure if it’s been mentioned on this forum, but I know I’ve posted about it on various occasions when I thought I was OD’d on androstenone. I thought that people were coughing/sneezing more around me because of the “smell” …but it’s not an OD, and it’s not because of the smell.

I certainly still notice the sneezing/coughing when I wear a few sprays of Ammo. Maybe because my natural pheromones are strong so just a few sprays of Ammo or just a drop of NPA can set off this reaction with some people.

But anyway, this “allergic” type reaction has nothing to do with the smell, they may not even smell anything, but the coughing/sneezing is very real.

Okay, believe it or not, but the part of the brain that controls sexual stimulation is also connected to the part of the brain that controls the sneezing/coughing reflex, and for some people, particular in women, those two are more sensitively connected.

I read about it alot online, and I can come up with a source if necessary. But point being, if a girl sneezes when you’re wearing androstenone, it’s not because you smell so bad…it’s because of the sudden rush of blood because she’s turned on so quickly, she can’t help but sneeze or cough.

Hard to believe I know. But I swear this is the most accurate explanation.

Google sneezing, horny, sexual, etc. and you’ll see that there are some women out there who sneeze when they get horny. And probably the others don’t realize they do until they run into my phero-cloud

…

By the way, I just found this forum called “sneeze fetish” …lol, Sneeze Fetish Forum (Powered by Invision Power Board)

what about when men sneeze when they are near you? are they getting horny too?

a sneeze fetish forum? there actually is one? LOL

Hi smoothplayer.

Interesting find about the androstenone. Have you found that, also, with unscented -none products or just AMMO? I think that reaction can/may be attributed to the added scent in the pheromone product, if there is one. Fragrances in many products, from hairspray to laundry soap, is often the culprit in “allergic” type reactions. Just something else to consider.

LOL! That’s a new one on me! What the hay…why not? There’s a forum for everything else.

Nope, I don’t think it’s the Ammo scent. I’ve had the same thing happen with Primal Instinct, NPA, and Chikara (unscented).

By the way, I still don’t quite understand the reaction from other men while I’m wearing androstenone. Because the thing is, it makes me a little turned on (and I’m a guy). But usually it’s actually not guys sneezing. I’d say nearly every time I’ve noticed this it’s girls that are sneezing/coughing. Guys just look pissed off or scared, lol.

Last night I went to a cafe I frequent. I was wearing 2 sprays of Ammo to-go on the back collar of my shirt, and 1 spray on my chest. When I stepped in I noticed it was calm, quiet, no coughing whatsoever. I sat down at a table and the one beside me these 2 girls were studying. One of them starts coughing and sneezing. She wasn’t coughing when I was 10-15 feet away. Of course, you could say that it could have happened even if I wasn’t there, and there’s no way to really tell. But then I noticed her friend gets up several times and does circles around my table. Then she accidentally bumps her arm into me (sure…) So I asked them what they were studying, etc. I have to say I honestly wasn’t attracted to either of them (they were kind of on the large side), but the signs were tell-tale.

Then also the night before, I was wearing pretty much the same, except with 2 sprays of MX203 on my chest also. I was walking out of another cafe, and as I got within 6 feet of this girl, she full on stared, and then when I was within 3 feet she sneezed, but then looked back up and kept staring, lol. It was funny. I don’t know what it actually is since there’s no scientific explanation technically, but I think it’s sort of like the whole VNO thing…we can’t prove it exists, but pheromones get detected somehow by something…so maybe it’s connected to the sneezing.

Or maybe I just have a sneezing fetish, lol

IMHO, -none smells ‘dusty’ to me. I dunno why. I found out after applying 5 shots of TUTH. It ‘smelled/felt’ dusty underneath the neroli.

You’ll definitely want to avoid oral sex with those sorts of women.

hey i also mentioned this in another post, i too often noticed people are coughing around me when i use pheromones (not just -none), very random, but it does happen and it is for real. at first i thought maybe i smelled funky, but now i don’t think that’s the case, maybe its got something to do with VNO and the brain sensing something.

That’s very interesting. There’s a ye olde myth that sneezing is equivalent to insert fraction of an orgasm. Commonly, 1/3, 1/8, 1/10.

Always makes me wonder what kinds of orgasms these people have to come up with these ratios. But it’s quite interesting piecing this together with what you found in respect to women sneezing and androstenone. (Fetish porn videos - Hobby.Porn!)

I also noticed this with men too, not just women, I’d say 50/50, and it’s very random, and I’m definitely sure its not due to the smell/scent because sometimes i only use a small amount of -nol.

Interesting, Do you have a link to this study ? I googled it but all that came up was people who are turned on by sneezing not people who sneeze because they are turned on. I am assuming this is a controlled environment study. You should add it down in the studies and abstract section to.

I never really experienced this sneezing or coughing from others or myself while wearing pheromones but I do recall others mentioning it. Generally this reaction should stop once the pheromones settle and dry down but if there is another explanation it would be interesting and important to the research.

Keep in mind the last 4 months has been the worst pollen season the US has experienced in something like 50 years so it could be normal reaction. Pollen gets everywhere and you can have it on you body as well and set people off. That combined with you above study could be the reason your seeing it so often.

So that’s what it was. From my experience I do recall couple instances when girls who sat right next to me constantly sneezed, and I don’t think it was due to allergy (well at leat for my case). They sneezed a lot as soon as I was near and couldn’t stop, which led me to believe it was abnormal. Maybe your finding can explain the situation.

So let’s assume that you’re finding is true, if a girl sneeze due to your phero signature, then does that mean you hit your “sweet spot?”

I’ve noticed sometimes people sneeze around me wearing the stuff, but I’m pretty sure it is due more to colognes and neroli than anything else. When I get people noticing me, I don’t notice them start sneezing or anything like that. But then I don’t wear alot of androstenone, very little actually.

BTW, yesterday somebody complemented me on my cologne. I was wearing English Leather with Scent of Eros and a spray of Instant Honesty. They said my cologne smelled good, and asked me what it was. I said " English Leather " and they looked at me a bit wierd, like I must be joking. This was a guy, BTW.

HAHA! I just thought of something. What if that guy had an epiphany of sorts and decided to get himself some EL, thinking it would smell as good on him?

That would be amusing (I think the guy was expecting I was wearing an expensive cologne- I actually think he was sensing the pheromones of course moreso). It goes back to what you and I were talking about in your journal about Drakkar Noir. I think alot of fragrance connoseurs greatly underestimate how much “personal chemistry” goes into how a fragrance smells. It also explains why one person can hate another fragrance and another person loves it.

I’m going to have to try a really infamous cologne one of these days and see what happens. Something really cloying.

That’s one of the reasons why I’ve loved Drakkar for so long. I’ve smelled it on some people and it reeks, but on others, it smelled pretty good. I count myself lucky in that I was one of the latter group.

Ouch.

I used to have a girlfriend who would sneeze during sex (no additional pheromone usage, btw) and if it happened at the wrong time it would fire ‘the old chap’ right out of the ‘honey waggon’ , so to speak.

A314 makes me cough - even just a small amount added to the inner elbows.

I think the coughing/sneezing reaction occurs for a few reasons.

One reason could be the brain “re-setting” itself so it can properly process/experience the pheromones. Many people are “starved” for pheromones, so it may that other people get runny noses when exposed to pheromones the way the tongue salivates when you smell food.

A second reason could be the person is trying to temper or fight their attraction to you.
