Hey Ok,

I am wondering if there is a clear distinct line for what you need to do to get reporter status. I believe someone told me you just have to give 1 or 2 good reports weekly. So that surely means if you give 3 or more reports and responses and yada yada per week that should surely fill the requirements right?

I gotta be honest, it does get a bit old reading the reports of people that obviously have reporter status being able to order larger quantities at half the price. Take for instance, I wasn’t even able to get a Raw Power test pack at $80 if I wanted to because the prices got dropped to $20 for people with this “elite” reporter status and the packs flew outta the store, and they were able to order multiple quantities of them…Think about that…they get 4 to my 1, if I had time to get A pack at $80. Now I get to read about them and had no chance to even get them to test them out mysel if I wanted at the price of $80.(Which I think they were actually at $100 for a bit before they realized they had the wrong scent or were scented and droped them to $20 for “reporters”.)

Other people have talked about recieving random packages in the mail from time to time of new products to try out…I mean what does one have to do. And besides, I truly do love the products and would LOVE to have a discount and or receive free products in the mail (as I believe some people received 30mL sizes of MX292 in the mail for FREE…I am paying $30 for a ToGo when they are in stock…I have no idea if this is once again because the reporters are getting them for between $10-$15 and are able to order multiples quatities at that price…again they are getting 2-3 bottles to my 1, and I have spent almost $1000 with androtics in the last 9-10 months. $847.33)

Now DO NOT get me wrong, Androtics has the best customer service and most helpful staff I have ever experienced…Their service and quality is unparalleled, so naturally I would rather have higher prices for me than not be able to do business with Androtics and be a part of this forum. I have also gotten the random freebies with an order…for instance a couple orders ago I bought $248.31 worth of products and got a free ToGo of Instant Gentleman and a chocolate which was extremely nice of the great ladies and gents that work over at Androtics. It does seem as though all of my orders come with nice, hand-written notes that make the order feel personal…which is again another part of what makes Androtics such a great company.

Also, a product like Meo-EST comes in the lowest mcg at 2.5. If you go up from that and don’t have this reporting status the prices get extremely agressive, so to get a bigger mcg you are forced into getting a ToGo and 12.5 mcg and spraying 4 times or spraying a boatload of the 30 mL/ 2.5 mcg bottle (which I have) and smelling like an alcoholic for a half an hour to get effect worth mentioning. Some people seem to be able to afford 50 mcg/ spray of things which are $101.97 which makes each spray approximately $.50 for us “non-reporting” users. I am guessing the “reporting” users are able to get it at aound $.20/spray or a 2.5 to 1 diiference.

I just feel that if there is an objective way to get reporter status then it should be known. If it stays subjective, then I guess it does. And then again maybe I am the only one that feels this way, or maybe not and other people have just decided to say nothing. Or perhaps, other people don’t care about burning money and never will need the reporter status discounts and cool random freebees in the mail. (Hey let’s be honest…FREE GOOD STUFF IN THE MAIL MAKES EVERYONE SMILE!) Maybe there is a VIP card you can buy for a year that gets you the status and discounts…if so I’d like to know where to buy it. And the idea of reports begs another question, is a decent length 2 sentences, 20 sentences, or 200 senences…what if the sentences are garbage or just a ton of quotes…what if the report is very methodical and well-written…Do TOTW nominations and Thanks count when determining a report’s value and the user’s status and rewards? Are all posts created equal in other words?

I dunno, these are just some of the things on my mind. I mean it really does suck knowing that I am putting time into writing these reports in a nice manor and not seeming to reap the benefits in the store. I gotta be honest it makes it a little tough to shop at the store knowing that there are quite a number of people shopping at what essentially is a perpetual 50%+ off sale compared to my prices. I dunno, I think it would be much easier to give great reports even more often if you were to get rewarded with that kind of sale! I mean I know I have had a few solid reports in the last few weeks without even having the status…I was just kind of waiting to hear about getting it, but it doesn’t appear to be coming unfortunately…I guess if you agree or disagree I’d like to hear about it either way.

I know it sucks man, but that’s just it. Just keep on reporting. Like I mentioned to you in a previous post, Steve does it every so often so that’s probably the reason why you haven’t been updated yet. That’s all, not because you’re not being valued.

Now, i don’t work for androtics or anything and am far from being the authority that Tisha and Steve are in these matters, but let me see if i can’t give a few answers to some of these points you’ve raised up and make a few points myself…

There really aren’t any “cookie cutter” requirements for getting reporting user status. Many people post alot of stories or reports on their use of phero’s, but it depends on how detailed their accounts are, how much thought they put into where they tested the products, and how thought-out their conclusions are that can really make the difference. Some people spray on phero’s, go about their day, and then report. That’s great, don’t get me wrong. But alot of these reporting users will go out of their way to test these… maybe stop by a coffee shop, go out to a bar, talk to co-workers in the office. It seems to be more quality than quantity, at least to me. But like Mikoto said, it’s done by batches at a time and i’m sure if you keep it up, that next go around your name will be among the new reporting users.

Mmk, first off, no one ordered multiple packets of the Raw Power test set. Steve has made it clear that when a new putative or mx comes out, it’s 1 per person, for at least that first batch. Otherwise people would stock up and there would be less potential tests per product. So it’s really that alot of people were interested in the product. And yes, it does seem a little unfair that you couldn’t get one, but remember that these people are given this status because androtics finds their reports and research techniques to be worthwile additions to their own research. That means they want them to get these products, so that they get these valuable reports. So of course they lower the cost significantly for them… it’s supposed to keep that initial batch in the hands of the experienced. Sorry, but thats their business and keeps them up and running.

To my nigh certainty, i can tell you that NO ONE has ever received a 30mL bottle of MX292, because it hasn’t been produced. Some people were joking around about receiving that when a couple gifts were sent out, but they were just jokes. And yes, a few gifts were sent out, but as far as i know, these gifts went only to those old hats who have been with Androtics for awhile and have proved their worth as reporters for quite a bit. It’s another form of customer service. While we ALL would love to receive free things in the mail, doesn’t it seem a bit off to demand that? I mean, they already give us free stuff, offer us ways to earn free points, take out shipping costs on larger orders… they do ALOT for us already, so let’s not go demanding more and anger the phero gods, si?

Now, i understand your frustration and am not trying to say anything against you, i’m pretty sure you just got upset for a bit and wanted to express it on the forums. And i’m a college kid as well, so i know about not having the funds to burn on excessive amounts of phero’s. But Androtics has never been shy about the fact that they sell quite a few products close to or at a loss in order to further research. Until they have decided that your reports are worth that much to them, it only seems fair to charge you what it should actually cost to sell the item.

Try to order one or two products, try them out under the guide that Tisha has posted under the women’s tips sticky section (i think thats the right place…), then report back on your trials… maybe consider taking a week or two and fully experiment with the product by itself, then reflect on everything and give your impression of the putative or MX. Like i said, it seems that the well thought-out reports get you closer to user status… :roll_eyes:

Anyways, as i said, this is my two cents, so please feel free to comment, Steve and Tisha, and to everyone else, don’t take this as anywhere close to the final word.

Thanks MFG…I do appreciate the reply. I do have a few things to say though about it. I will try and keep them in the order of the snippets that I quoted from you…I don’t understand how to do this multiquote thing.

  1. I didn’t know that people went out and tested pheros in anything other than social situations. I know I have read reports of people testing pheros on themselves at home and reporting. I mean I seriously don’t know what use some reports would even be if there was no interaction with other people socially or in the workplace. I think after reading a large amount of posts, many of the self effects experienced are generally better explained by experienced users, althgouh that’s not to say we non-reporting users are not contributing valuable info and reports. And to further this, many users are not of age (21) to technically go to bars in many places and definitely not drink alcohol, even though everyone knows that is rampant.

  1. I was in NO WAY demanding free things in the mail. As I explained I am an extremely happy cutomer, but just feel I deserve reporting status. (Again, might sound brazen but in no way is meant to be.) I just guess there is something to saying thanks in a PM rather than putting it up in other people’s faces somewhat. Kind of like the cool kid always getting the Ferraris and you are stuck with the honda civic…(No offense to anyone, just using those cars as a point.), and that cool kid driving buy, showing off the speed, women he has with him and whatever else. You know the “phero Gods” shouldn’t be pissed of by this…It was a point on my chest and I had to say it…and you know it’s similar to a question in school, most people are AFRAID to say something and a valuable QUESTION is LOST, when in REALITY probably quite a few people wanted clarity on the same topic! I do appreciate everything the gang over at Androtics does for me as a customer and that is why I will continue to shop there regardless of my status…I will also continue to give my reports when I think they are worthwhile and hopefully they use them…If they wanna pitch them into the garbage and write them off as worthless, then they can, and I will still give the next report to the best of my ability. As of right now MrFeelGood, I guess you are right…my reports are simply not worth that much…But hey at least I am reporting!:roll_eyes:

Ok, so multi-quoting takes way too long to do twice, so i’ma use your strategy here Johnny and just address stuff as it goes down.

  1. One of the best ways, in my personal opinion, to test out a product is to first test out whether it has any noticeable self-effects on yourself. I’m not saying use half the bottle to test this out, but try a squirt or two on the neck and see if you notice anything different, like most people have with TAF. Then when you go out and interact with people, you can try to take into account the effect the pheromone is having on you and cancel that out in your thoughts on the molecule or take it into account with your behavior while your out. That helps remove some bias, such as having Instant Honesty on and YOU feeling more connected with someone… when testing the effect on others, it matters if THEY feel more connected, so you can try to distance yourself a little in your mind and notice behaviors, see if they give any indication that they are very relaxed and comfortable talking with you. Got me on this one?

Maybe i did a poor job of explaining what i meant about going out to test… let’s try again. Say you want to test Instant Openness and you have class that day. Well, let’s be honest, class isn’t always the best place for talking, so you don’t see many results… then you head to the library to study, but again, not a place for chatter… so what someone who really wanted to test it out might do would be to head to the mall or a coffee shop, where people are more open to interacting freely. You don’t need a bar, just somewhere that people might be more open in their interactions.

  1. Hmm, it seems you were quite right on the multiple raw powers being ordered by one person. Very sorry about that one, Johnny. But my guess would be that they allowed this because this one batch had Game scent accidentally added to it, so wasn’t of very much research value to Androtics. So they just wanted to get rid of this batch and make another. But you’re right, it wasn’t very fair to order multiple of this first batch… but i don’t think alot of people did that.

  2. I can see your point about feeling left out when the cool kids brag about their porsches, but i believe they do it to let other people know how cool Androtics is in general, and how far they go in their customer service sometimes. I mean, really, what other company would do that? So it’s not meant to brag about their luck (well ok, maybe a little), but more to thank the company where they’ll get a little credit for what they did. Make sense?

Now, i’m not trying to trash any of the reports that come in, they are ALL helpful, i was merely explaining there are always degrees of helpfulness. While a small report on one day’s activities is helpful, it would be more helpful to try that amount out 2-3 times, to take into account outside variables. Sometimes its not the phero’s doing the work, it may just be that the person you talked to was having a good/bad day that had nothing to do with you, and it just leaked over into your interactions. I try to wait to post any of my reports until i can test an item multiple times, to get the best feel for it i can. But again, that’s simply me and my methodical manners… one of my majors is environmental science, so i strive for scientific rigor when possible.

I actually think that your reports are pretty good, so really, dont get me wrong here. I’m just trying to help you out and maybe make them better. I ASK people to question me about mine if they have something they think i should add to it, so that i can improve it as much as possible. So if you see something in my reports that seems off or could be tweaked, PLEASE tell me. I’m not perfect, not by far. We can all use a little help, ja? Like i said, i’m not trashing small reports by far, they have their place in the research Androtics does. But the more in-depth you go, the more each report will add to them.

Hope i cleared that up some, really didn’t mean to be attacking you at all.

Dude, it’s not that your reports are worthless, it’s probably just SteveO being busy and not being able to constantly update the reporter status. There have been numerous threads on the subject and if you search for them, most likely, you’ll find that other people have received the same answers as you.

Some people go far out of their way to test the putatives/mxs. There’s an old thread where MHarris talks about how he tests the products (maybe it was Jasmin talking about MHarris). Either way, it was said that he would toss on whatever pheromones then go walking for hours, trying to interact with anyone and everyone. That’s a major dedication of time, considering the busy schedules most of us have. Now, for MHarris, clearly he has hours to dedicate – this is his work, but for the rest of us, just spending hours walking around is not feasible. So work it into your regular schedule. This quarter, I’m simply not reporting as much because my classes are spread out through the week and rather than reporting on how I spent 4 hours studying, I’d rather save my putatives for the days where I interact with many people.

You’ll get reporter status sooner or later. In the meantime, just enjoy your pheros and keep reporting.

I just tried searching in TITLES ONLY (usually they yeild the most particualr results) …“reporting user” “reporter status” and a couple other it seems like and got nothing but my own thread returned. I am sure of course I could type those in with results yielded from ENTIRE POSTS and had hundreds to choose from. I am well aware of the search function as I use it a lot to look up information.

We shall see about any kind of status change given to me anytime soon…I must say it is interesting to see how long certain people have been members…some people seem to have gotten this status and joined at the end of last year…as in December!:open_mouth: Strange to me I suppose.

When I’m searching for something, I’ll wade through hundreds of posts too. At least it’s not a physical library where it could take hours. :stuck_out_tongue: Just gotta have the determination to find the information you’re looking for.

Ummm Johnny dont get your knickers all in a knot. Your on the list and as soon as Steve has a chance he will add your name into the database. He has been busy catching up from his NLP trip. He trys to do it on a monthly basis. People dont realize the amount of work that go’s into this forum, let alone running the store. Some things take time.

We do not want you to make special trips just to test the mones unless you want to. We want to know how they effect your everyday life. Whether its just going to work and popping down to walmart or hitting the clubs. The only requirement is you need to leave the house.

While self effects are ok to report on mones are not for the self effects really they are to effect others. If you have something to report about self effects thats great but its not a requirement. Just put them on and go out and interact and come back and give a detailed report. There is a link in my signature about the details we look for.

Both new and old members get gifts once in a while. Depends on the quality of reporting and there dedication to the forum. Almost all orders get a sample of some sort but the reporting users will get the test products because we know the will report on them.

I am a Phero goddess but thats besides the point. :smiley: No one is pissed but if you had a problem you go to the people who can solve it. You should have PMed me again and I would have told you that your on the list for the next input of names. This is why I am here. See I am like Steve’s nagging forum wife. LOL He’s can be really busy sometimes and I nag him to do this or that until he cant stand it anymore and does it just to shut me up :wink:

This is in no way true. You and your reports are valuable to us. I have most of them listed right here and your doing great.

These are just the ones you started not threads you responded to which we look at as well. When you leave things out we try to ask questions to get more details. Something that may seem not to make a difference can sometimes make a huge difference when all the data is put together so keep that in mind when reporting.

We look at quality of reports, user participation, whether you test each product on its own merits. Users who participate more are seen on the forum easier because they post more frequantly. This is not to say that the person who just posts reports and nothing else dosnt deserve to be on the list but with a forum this size and this active sometimes they get missed. Many times we add people to the list and if they dont report enough they come off the list. Its harder to get back on once taken off. You have those who call in reports but those are just the long time users that started out with androtics and new people are encouraged to report in the forum .

I hate to use actual users as a example but since we are all participating here …

You have 87 posts and you started in June of 2008. You have around 6 reports 4 of which you just did in the last week.

MFG has over 700 and he started in Nov 2008 has 4 reports :open_mouth: Better get busy buster :wink:

Miko has over 600 and started in Oct 2008 has a journal and over 12 reports

At the time Steve entered the last set of names you had 2 reports this is why they got on the list before you. See its not a popularity contest, like I said you can come off the list as well as get on it even me and Steve report. Some people put early requests in and Steve may have granted them but they wont stay on the list unless they report.

Now we also look at if you tested and reported on the product as a stand alone or layered it right away. They need advanced products tested on as a stand alone first.

I will nag Steve again and you will be added so just keep reporting your doing great :wink:

Sorry Johnny, at 28 you’re a little old to be part of the google generation although you certainly caught the end of it. As a college professor I deal with the google generation daily and, damn, they actually think 30 seconds of googling qualifies as research. If nothing comes up, they’re done. “Ah, Prof, I googled and got nada.” Of course they could have taken a 5 minute walk to the library and spent 30 minutes locating dozens of books and articles on the topic…

Google IPOed in August of 2004 near $100 per share. I was out with two degrees at that point. I did have a marketing professor that was all about Google and hyping it! He turned out correct! And, yes I am back in school with the much more google / wiki inclined people. As for me, I strap my ass to an old wooden chair and get things done in the library…it works well for me and I feel solid about what I’ve done.

On a different note Gegogi…I must say some of your answers in particular make me roll laughing. They really are very concise power packed comments and answers…Frickin hilarious!:smiley:

JohnnyPaper, first off, do realize it has absolutely nothing to do with how much or little you spend. It does have everything to do with consistency in reporting. The last time I reviewed members for reporting status, mid-January, there was a considerable time-gap in your posting. You started posting in June (last post 6/12) and then decided to not post again until January 9th after I had already reviewed.

A member who joins and disappears after only one month for 6 months does not qualify. You had 5 posts in June over the course of 2 days and you seriously cant believe this entitles you to reporting user status, can you?

The way you have been coming on about this over the last couple of weeks has been everything but fair. Its not just reporting its also quality, consistency. Disappearing for 6 months and then making it seem like you have been skipped over without revealing any of the facts is inaccurate. I don’t believe you are portraying Androtics and our reporting user status in a fair light.

You want reporting user status? Report consistently and truthfully. Trying to force my hand with misinformation is certainly not the right path. There will be another review next week. If you have reported you will make it.

Hey Steve,

Let me do my best to clear this up. You are absolutely correct that I have probably left out a few things.

  1. I did join in June and started using the consumer line Instant products off the bat. The darn pheros and me getting back 100% in the game landed me a spot in bed with this badass Latina chick for the next 5 months or so. Now on top of that I also had to take Calculus 1-3 for Engineers and Differential Equations and learn both Java and C++. So yes, I apologize for not mentioning my time gap, and I was EXTREMELY busy but would pop over to the forum when I had the chance.

***to go with this I am pretty sure there has been one great report with that Latina chick and TUTH that has fallen through the cracks…Or maybe I am dreaming.

  1. I am guilty of spending countless hours of my “offtime” just reading and not reporting for the most part which I have been trying to do (reporting) accurately and in a timely manor of late. It is quite possible in my tiny brain that I feel more a part of this forum than I have actually been. So, again Steve, my fault totally.

  2. I am to blame for coming on strong about this. This will be that last post I make on the subject anywhere on the forum. Androtics is a more than fair company and treats all of their customers and forum patrons with great respect. This again, is entirely my fault for being a jerk about the status.

  3. I was NOT trying to force your hand Steve or anyone else for that matter. I was simply voicing what was on my mind. I have been reporting TRUTHFULLY and what I consider consistently, of late. I don’t write literature for a living and certainly don’t dream up my stories/ reports. Nor was I trying to put MISinformation out there to be snide. In fact all I believe I left out was that gap to which I do believe there is one report missing, and a damn good one at that. (Again, could be my tiny brain on overload again.) And let me pose this question…When everyone knows that you are the maestro (along with the other employees..Tisha..etc.) of this great shindig we are privy to, why would I run upto you and try to force your hand when I simply know (once again in my tiny brain) that it would be nothing more than being totally foolish and would not accomplish anything positive and more likely result negatively. Even in my tiny brain, it just doesn’t make sense…so please know that I was just getting some thoughts off my chest. I am terribly sorry if you felt as though I was insulting you or Androtics…I wasn’t and it was not meant to be misinforming to the other readers.
