They have had some trouble with the bottles in the past. The new machinery was supposed to take care of that but there are occational reports of it still happening. Unfortunatly there have like a million to-go bottles and they cant just throw them out. Plus the ones they use are the most popular brand but I know they keep there eyes open for solutions to this problem.
If this happens to you this is what you do. Go here>>>
They have a FAQ database everyone should become familar with and fill out a ticket. Include your order number. This way they are aware of the problem and can better deal with it and help you out as well.

PS
Hey now dont blame the mailcarriers we dont deliver for Androtics. We would really like to though. We would even give them free priority boxes to ship in and pick them up for shipping every day. LOL OK OK they told me to say that at work today. Mail volume has been down (snort)
I also had that problem prior to November, but then I got a shipment with lots of to-go and NO LEAKS.
On that order, all the labels covered part of the spray tops, which prevented them from loosening up. I haven’t ordered any to-go’s since then, but that solution seemed to work well.
Volume down, huh? Likely story - probably more like the friends you share yours with at the PO just wanna work someplace where there are lots of phero-fumes emanating from the boxes - lol. Although I would guess there are usually probably wafting about in the air near you.
Actually when the post master is in a bad mood which is like always, they line up at my desk and ask for Ishine. I am telling you if you are not a believer in mones, seeing what it does to him will change your mind in a heart beat.
He really is a nasty individual but with Ishine he purrs like a kitten. Socializes like a happy normal person instead of barking at everyone all the time.
Does wonders at the window for irrate customers to LOL
We’ll credit you for anything missing. No problem! Just give Steve a call on Tuesday, and he’ll fix you up.
I never want you to feel disappointed here. You’re going feel loved or elated when it comes to your relationship with us… or else!
As far as the To Gos go, we’ve been working on that issue for months and months and MONTHS. It’s been taking up an inordinate amount of time, and Mharris refuses to release new mixes until the To Go bottle issue is resolved. There’s been SO much on the drawing board, but the bottle issue has literally been holding up everything.
We use the very same supplier Sephora and all the other big stores do (ask for a free sample of the perfumers at Sephora and you’ll see what I mean). They made a batch of some very bad bottles.
They wouldn’t even believe me, despite all the customer feedback here. I then sicked Steve on 'em. Pheromones don’t work as well as I’d prefer over the phone, so it’s a little more intimidating coming from a man.
Even with him on it, it’s a NJ/NY area manufacturer, and a lot of suppliers out there are incredibly smug and not as quality oriented as we’d like to see. They finally (and arrogantly) addressed the problem, and the latest batch of bottles we received supposedly went through an additional round of R&D and quality control.
We’d drop this supplier in a “New York Minute”, but unfortunately, the alternatives for FDA approved cosmetic bottles of this type aren’t exactly numerous. All other suppliers I’ve contacted about this type of bottle actually buy from the manufacturer I’m talking about… so everyone across the country who use this type of bottle have been hurting.
Hopefully, when you say you got some leaky ones, I hope you accidentally got some older bottles and the latest batch is fine and not leaky so we can get on with what we do here. (and again, we’ll fix whatever problem you had with the bad ones)
Also, to comment on what Tisha said. Actually, we can DEFINITELY just throw away the old batch of bottles if the new batch of To Go bottles is better. That’s a lot of bottles to dispose of (recycle, actually), but we’d rather send you a good bottle the first time around! We try to put out fires before they start, whenever possible.
I think it’s more an area problem, than an all out USPS problem.
If we shipped out of a little town or an honest, hard working, QUALITY-oriented city (which LA is not), then it might even be ok. USPS rocked the house when we shipped out of a smaller city in Florida. They had more pride in their work there.
Growing up in SoCal, it was hard for me to realize how anti-quality and apathetic this place is until I had the task of hiring here. Slowly and surely, though, reality has hit me in the face.
Now that I really look, I see that most buildings here, including big new, $12M mansions, have structural defects you just don’t see elsewhere. Even American Apparel, which makes almost everything in LA, has some of the worst stitching I’ve ever seen. Most Chinese made garments are superior, and they really don’t give a darn over there (and factory workers only get paid only $120 a month according to a recent report).
I don’t think it’s any coincidence that our main tech is from Chicago and her assistant is from Austin. Two places where people have pride in the work. Too many slackers and “actors” in LA.
Thankfully, we’re set for a big move soon to one of the most quality oriented parts of the US I’ve ever seen. People have pride in their work there. It’s also an area where PhDs are massively attracted to (probably since the city looks sort of like a large college campus), so we’ll have an ample pool of quality hires to help push research along. I can’t wait!
Jasmin, I have a quick and easy fix. Actually, April found it!
I also received a leaky batch or two of To-Go’s last year, but the last time I placed an order with To-Go’s not a single bottle leaked. The reason? The labeling was placed on the bottles so that it slightly covered the screw on spray applicator. Unless the labeling is removed, those bottles literally will not open.
This may not be the ideal solution. But it definitely stopped the bottle tops from loosening up. And, for those that intend to refill the bottles once they are empty, maybe you could include an extra blank label for each To-Go bottle and instruct buyers that if they intend to re-use the bottles the new label should be placed so that a portion of the applicator top is covered.
Yep believe me I told them down at the PO that its hard to push the product like they want us to when half the PO’s in the country dont follow through with what we promise. That on top of all the increases in postage which is nessesary so we can buy gas for the trucks have really slowed business. I am senior carrier so I will be fine but I feel bad for the new guys/gals.
The bottle solution mark has is a good one. May take a little more time but it works. I order perfume samples from tons of vendors on line who use the same bottles. They all use black electrical tap around the seal when they ship anything because even the tub containers with lotion or scrub will leak if they dont. It comes off easy when you get your products and it dosnt leave a sticky residue. Its a thought…
Believe me I want it fixed to so we can have some new fun goodies to play with Hello my name is Tisha and I am a Phero junkie
Yep, Michael worked that out (since the bottles would sometimes come apart in his pocket when he went all einstein-aloof) and April and Sarah implemented it nicely and have even tried variations. They experimented with different tape substrates and all kinds of variations to see what would hold together best when exposed to alcohol. But it didn’t work with the bad bottles we were supplied with for months, since they weren’t leaking from the seam where the top and bottoms met.
The bad bottles had improperly manufactured spray tops where the fluid would come right out of the atomizer mechanism. You could wrap the bottle seam in thick, chemical resistant plumbing tape, and the fluid would still come out the top! Only a redesign and re-manufacture of the bottle tops can help with something like that.
Hopefully the new bottles will hold up.
We’ve also had a new labeling solution in the wings for probably more than a half year now, but we’ve been waiting on better bottles to implement it. These labels do cover the entire body of the bottle.
Eventually, we’ll probably have to design and manufacture our own bottle to our specs. The quantity necessary to get a manufacture make us a custom bottle, though, is SHOCKING to say the least. At our current volume, we’d be buying enough to supply Androtics for something like 13 years!
The problem is most manufacturers work only with suppliers, who then provide people like us bottle in smaller quantities. You also need FDA approval for new cosmetics containers. Even Sephora buys the same bottles from the same company we do, instead of going manufacturer direct with a custom design.
I don’t see why it’s so hard to have custom work these days done. We make customized phero products for people quite often, and we don’t require they order something like a million at a time. Geez! (maybe this is a hint from the business world to reconsider our minimum order policy? hahaha… scary!)
If anyone out there knows of a bottle or plastics manufacturer that can work with more reasonable batches, please let me know. I’m also looking for a good industrial designer.
Nope, I never got a to-go bottle that was taped. I have only had a leakage problem once back in December when it was first discovered that the bottles were faulty.
All bottles are supposed to go out with the label over the seam, or tape placed around it. Thanks for letting me know! I’ll pass that on to fulfillment.
Anytime Jas. I didn’t reealize that the botles were leaking through the atomizers though. I just assumed it was the same issue as when the tops were loosening in shipment.
What about trying to band together with Sephora, LPMP and maybe even LS to have custom bottles produced to your specs?
On a side note, I was thinking about your upcoming retail release line, and kind of assuiming that A314 would quickly follow the Ammo release, I registered a couple of domain names that would be perfect for an A314 website. If you want em, they’re yours for the asking. I was able to register:
