Timer in washing machine went out over weekend! Helped my dad move it and then yesterday I could barely move my back hurt so bad. Have ruptured L3 that they cannot operate on. Anyone here understand nerve pain? Pain pills don’t work!
Went to spine specialist to get cortisol injected right into spine. On way home on the little country road that’s the HWY, doing about 55 hit a suicidal racoon and as such totaled the front end of BMW . Will need new grill, ac compressor most likely new fans and housing and who knows about the radiator. Holy F*CK!
Get crippled car home to look up insurance policy and wouldn’t you know it the cable modem is fried by this time it’s after hours and cannot get a tech out here until today. Cable company promised to have a tech out between 12 am and 11:59 pm! Even though it’s been determined it’s the modem they still need to send a tech rather than me just swapping the F*cking thing out!
Yesterday the new timer arrived and after my dad alone spending time and effort to put it all back together, the F*cking new timer is defective and I couldn’t do anything except lay on the floor with my feet up. Yeah it’s that bad .
So now I sit here and wait for cable tech. Of course if I work 90 hours I get paid for 40, but if I work less than 40, I get paid only for those hours. I appreciate everyone asking me to post more. Your calls, posts and pm’s brighten my day , but it sure doesn’t make sense. I guess in tough economic times it’s easier to cut pay than to lose a sale. I believe it was Tacitus somewhere on the forum who pondered why the current state of employment was like it is. Loyalty and dedication is one sided my friend. Big business is about big money. This whole zappo’s thing is awfully odd!
Anyway sorry, but I think you already know how I feel today. Will the phones get answered? There has to be a balance though and I’m just grateful I have a job and still have family. You’ll never find anything more important than family. They remind me everyday of my passion for life and happiness . My dad says it’s a good thing that I have to work less as now I can focus on all the things that make me happy. I agree with jasmosis that stress kills.
Now that I really think about working less allows me to focus on the good things in life. You see, by the end of this post the good Lord has already enlightened me with blessings. Yeah, life is good.
Damn Steve that is one crappy day. Sorry to hear about your back! Didn’t you have some problems with it before? My wife totaled out our new car last week. She hit a 14 year old driving an Audi. Damn kid pulled out in front of her. Dad was teaching her to drive. LOL Expensive lesson!
Jeez. Shitty day. The main thing is that you’re alive. I can sympathize a bit though my circumstances are quite different. I just finished 60 hours in a 4 day work week and had to deal with my mom’s paranoid delusions cropping up again. :-/
I always look at things this way: Tomorrow is a new day. A day of unknowns.
Hey Steve. You gotta try acupuncture. Fortunately, I found a really superb doctor out here that does acupuncture. I went to 3 different places before I found him. After 3 treatments, my sciatica is gone…finito, done.
dude… not good.. You must have some awesome things coming your way. I really wish you could post more,as your insights are always welcomed, appreciated and loved by everyone. But everyone understands what’s going on… it’s just too bad. Hope everything turns around quickly for you!
Well the back injury was from a few years ago. I was typing on the iphone and its very difficult to navigate the forum without Tapatalk , so using those tiny screen keys to add more than I did was not happening.
Anyway I just spent $300 to get the parts for the car. I’m hoping the AC condenser can be repaired rather than replaced and while the radiator seems to be OK its still off its mounts. Parts won’t be here till sometime next week so looks like I’ll be working nights and weekend fixing the car. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and if I can do it I will do it myself.
