What are your tools and abilities to Influence People Sans Mones?

Here are some thoughts on Influencing others that you can add to or take and use what you find useful.

Now, what has been helpful to YOU to Influence others?

How and when can you influence the thoughts, feelings, what others do, their behaviour, and what others do involuntarily, their like in their biology and dreams? You need a 6th sense. Your AWARENESS completes your senses, it’s what makes sense of your senses.

Forcing others to surrender to your ideas is not pleasant, not satisfying to the other person and will begin a road of resentment towards you.

Influence is not forced, force is not useful for Influence. Your presented attitude will enhance or reduce your influence.

Influencing language to maneuver others: I totally agree…with THAT… idea…that there’s so many ways to see things, just like what you said. Your a sharp person to think of that! With the appropriate tone, facial expressions and body language…to be in congruence with your statements.

Mmmm… Stepping back… there is Plenty more to add…

Changing the mood of others will allow you to influence their thoughts as well as their feelings.

Shifting the mood in others, by prepping YOUR approach, keeping YOUR intention to have Intense desire for the other person to have a very Positive experience, don’t want anything FROM them, now, then, focusing on maintaining the ‘giving’ feeling to others, things FOR them.

Then, you’ll be establishing the necessary elements and framework, with the necessary social context and comfort to influence by focus on leading your questions , by doing so, you’re getting in charge of the conversation.

Deepening your requests for information that isn’t superficial… maintaining your Alphaness, Guru status vibe…

As an example:

‘Who are you?’

Response: Oh, I’m Jerry. How do you do?

“Good to meet you Jerry, though, my question to you is ‘Who ARE you?’”
Staring intently, in expectation to their response…

Response: Mmmm… Well, we both know, So and So, just around the corner…Is that what your asking?

Smiling knowingly…“Yes, I do know, So and So, though, my question still stands… who ARE You REALLY?”
Touch there shoulder, lightly, and gaze into their eyes intently…

This will incline them to search out for answers outside of their ‘normal’ responses.
They may go:
Name
Profession
Tasks they do
Something special they do or like
Social connections
Family

From that point on, you can expound on the points being brought up and getting enthused about it. With Animation, interest and intent the conversation can be directed by you, closer where you wanted to go, your preparation, your results, your influence that is positive to BOTH of you!

Some of these points I learned from public speaking training, seminars and books such as:

What do you think? What other tools can be useful for influence and in what context?

I think this is a great idea for a thread, Alpha!

Honestly, my personal foundation for human interaction came from the copy of “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie that my dad gave me when I was in high school. Back then, I needed all the help I could get, lol! Since then, many of these concepts have sunken in, and I’ve been able to build on top of them with other psychological and sociological works I’ve read. But this book was a very important foundation.

I’m not talking about the classes and courses built around the book. Absolutely not. I’ve heard horror stories about some of those classes. The main problem with them is that the original author has passed away, and thus does not teach them himself. He didn’t even create the classes, and so his original message is diluted and skewed by the opinions and objectives of some random instructor. Don’t bother with a commentary on the book when you could simply read and digest it yourself.

There are six main sections in the book, and they cover nearly any interpersonal situation you could encounter:
1 - “Fundamental Techniques in Handling People”
2 - “Six Ways to Make People Like You” …who wouldn’t want that???
3 - “Twelve Ways to Win People to Your Way of Thinking”
4 - “Nine Ways to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing Resentment”
5 - “Letters That Produced Miraculous Results”
6 - “Seven Rules for Making Your Home Life Happier”

I’m sure there are other tools I’ve found to be priceless, and I’ll post as I remember them.

Excellent foundational book to social interactions. ive read it a couple of times over the years and have electronic copy of it and many more.

Big thumbs up to Dale Carnegie, though i agree, not necessarily the programs associated with that name.
