Then I decided to try pink sugar as a cover scent I wasn’t paying much attention to the people around me the last few weeks because its been crazy busy around here. I did however notice that the pheromones seemed not to be working around my husband anymore.
I kept trying different combos and was getting nothing from him, even with the ones that had worked before. I went back to just one pheromone at a time thinking I was doing something wrong with the combos and it still isnt working. I didn’t use them everyday thinking maybe they had lost their punch with him but skipping days wasn’t helping either.
I started to lose interest in using pheromones since they didn’t seem to be working on hubby. I was getting really tired of pink sugar too , it wasn’t the kind of scent I usually wore even though it smelled nice. I went back to my favorite perfume and figured I may as well use up the phoemones I have, so I started covering them with my favorite perfume. Hubby’s interest was sparked all over again!
I don’t know why my cover scent made such a difference but it did.
That is an interesting observation. Cover scent obviously plays an important role in how others register pheromones. Maybe we should be experimenting with different scents as well as different pheromone mixes. I’m glad you found a way to make your pheros work!
hmm that’s very interesting! i’ve been spraying perfume over my instant shine and not noticing a ton of hits (just yet…) and have been wondering if maybe i’m spraying myself with perfume too soon after the pheromones, or using a scent that’s too overwhelming, or what!
keep us posted - i know i’ll be keeping a close eye on what cover scent i use from now on!
I wonder if your husband associates your regular perfume as your signature scent.. have you always worn the same one? I know I wear generally 2 different purfumes, both from estee lauder, so if I make a change my hubby always notices.. I tried pheromones a while back, trying to get my hubbys attention as well. but didnt use a cover spray , plus often used them immediately before going to bed. hubby has a sensitive nose apparently because he asked my did i smell a gym locker room smell. he thought it was him.. stinky feet smell. when he kept asking, i finally fessed up and he was really pissed…My response was obviously i wasnt getting his attention the old fashioned way. my self.. so i was trying something else.. neither worked… but he was in a personal funk.. so it wasnt me… and they drove every man around me nuts if i did wear them out..which i did.. just for the hell of it…
I experienced the very same thing - he likes the smell of a few but they are not what he is used to. I used Pink Sugar and it just is not me I guess. I even had a comment from a couple of guys at work that I smell different and I should go back to my “signature scent” when I tried other perfumes. I am a Be Delicious wearer and have been since it came out.
LOL-Good for you! My hubby was not that responsive either at first with pheros, and that was one of the main reasons that I tried them. Trying to put some spice back in backfired at FIRST but hmmmm. He is coming around now though - I think they are used to something then it kinda freaks them out when it changes. They can’t pin point it. Keep em on their toes and drive those other guys nuts! You have to do what makes you feel good - and when you feel good they feel better it seems (or at least that is my experience so far). Good Luck!
Maybe pink sugar just doesn’t mesh with your chemistry. He may not enjoy the scent either so he avoid inhaling it and avoids inhaling the mones with it. Your regular perfume he enjoys so he takes a big wiff and whammmo he is effected.
Another possibility is that the diffusion is better with you other perfume.
Where the scent you feel comfortable wearing. We talk alot about pink sugar here but you dont have to use that if it doesn’t fit you. I change scents pretty much daily. I do see some scents compliment the mones better then others.

My wife loves the smell of original Joop, reading the forum, I found that Joop Night Flight has a similar smell to Neroli so I bought some as a cover scent.
Guess what, she doesn’t like it as much so no joy. However, Ammo covered with the original Joop is a different matter, she buries her nose in my neck, I literally feel her knees melt and,as a gentleman I cannot comment further except as to say that was not the best time for the youngest to wake up!!
So far, I dont have any pheromones left from my first order several months ago. I just ordered to go. So all my recent experiences have been with what therapygirl has concocted for me… wow what a difference a little experience makes.I just ordered I think 5 different pheromones last night, so will do some real specific testing when they get here. I want to try some at work specifically. I work around a bunch of women.. omg, what a gossipy group. Before teaching. this is my first year, I worked around all men..it has been a HUGE change and not easy to adjust. I also was used to being the boss… and here… well not.. so trying to figure out how to make things run smoother with my alpha personality. The kids are fabulous and I am like the pied piper, its the adults who drive me bonkers..lol…
Also hubby is working out of state, and with all my male friends, I have enjoyed going to dinner or just for a drink.. out of boredom, and missing my old life…so I want to try out a few things… not to score, but to see if I could..lol.my relationship has always been totally professional, totally, so I think I want see how they respond if I let my hair down, so to speak..Will keep you posted…( so far its been a riot!)
I have a few perfumes I wear often my favorite right now is narciso rodriguez for her. I love this scent and so does hubby.
I have tried the pheomones with no cover but the only ones I care for this way is the grapefruit scented ones.
I did have some comments on people liking the smell of pink sugar on me, it has a nice smell after it settles down its just not something I normally wear.
I do think my other perfume has a better diffusion I get a lot of, what perfume are you wearing? when I have it on
