Look i’m a bit upset i place a $250 order the very day BEFORE AMMO comes back, and this was actually the main product i was looking for. International shipment is another 25USD. I had no idea it would be in the shop only 8 hours after placing my order. I tries to post this in the shipping questions but didnt appear…hopefully they put in a freebie AMMO in the order.???
Well how quickly they went…what in stock for about a day…LOL…ok guys, whose hoarding?

Ahoy, folks!
This post begs the question, “What will the new Ammo scent be?”
Wellp, I’m here to answer!
The default Ammo scent will be FF21. If you order Ammo right now, from this link, you will be shipped Ammo, version 1.0, scented with FF21.
Now, I know. That poll result there says a 78%-odd pro-FF22. And so does this post.
But here, before you diehard FF22 fanatics start flinging your empty cobalt bottles at my head, I want to let you in on some behind the scenes work we conducted here before coming to this conclusion, so you guys can get an inside look at how the cogs turn in our heads to come to this conclusion.
Back here at Androtics Central, we weren’t just being rebellious teenagers for the sake of rebellion.
We REALLY poured over and picked apart the feedback with fine little tweezers, and had hours of discussions based on what users ACTUALLY were communicating to us in their reports (not just what was clicked in the radio boxes at each poll juncture — that would be too “easy”… and the conclusion just wouldn’t be right, you know?). Some of these discussions is captured in the attached pdf report, and a lot of it was discussed verbally.
We weighted a lot of our decision on the EARLY November feedback, from your very first impressions of the FF20-22 fragrances, so we could get a great glimpse of the very initial impact they had. We found later feedback not nearly as powerful as the very first impressions. The information was purer. More.. raw. It just didn’t include any edited memories. We were as close to a “fresh, newbie perspective” as we could possibly get. And that’s important! Newbies are Ammo’s target market!
We captured a really clear idea of what to do, just by reading between the lines.
We also wore the different frags, and conducted extensive, crazy scent/sillage tests, so our decisions were grounded in complete and total REALITY.
The Design Intent behind Ammo:
Ammo is a mass market, easy to spray product intended for the American audience. It’s not a niche product.
Ammo is here to provide The Normal Everyguy with a very easy, classy experience, a higher experience than they could ever get at a drug store or Sephora. It’s meant to be a spray-and-go product. Easy. Young. Fresh, CLEAN, and attractive.
Easy to wear is the most important. Great diffusion power is very VERY important. (And, FF21 completely takes the cake on that one. One spritz in my house has hours - sometimes days - of lasting power.)
It’s a very classy product… but not TOO classy that the Everyguy is scared away by its complexity or overdesignedness. No “10 sprays of wha? Where? Whaa??? Cover cologne? I just wanted to spray on the product and have it work… WAAAAA!!” A simple, “2-3 Sprays and you’re good to go, dude!” will do.
We put a LOT of thinking into the product so they wouldn’t have to… so it can be easy for them to use, while at the same time giving them some great results. We want them to see results without too much difficulty, and they smell normal, extremely clean and fresh, but not so “different” that they get weird looks or comments from their friends.
Apples are classy. They are overdesigned, they are overthought, they are thoughtfully produced, all the while being wholly easy to use (bless you, Mac OSx).
But, even though completely snobbishly designed, those wonderful little MacBooks are still intended for the Normal American, College-Faring Joes out there. Apple is giving them something BETTER than what they want or expect, before they’re savvy to what they want or expect.
You wouldn’t see Apple just going with the popular flow on anything. I mean, seasoned cnet reviewers seriously thought the iPhone would flop because it didn’t have a keyboard, and that was preposterous. No smartphone would ever not have a keyboard. But there are now hundreds of millions more iPhones now in use than any of the other “Smartphones”. Screw the flow. Design something people WILL LOVE.
That sort of design intent gives me the chills.
High design, democratized.

FF22 is… niche-y. I love it. I huff it.
But… I’m a little of a “scent-snob”.
And hey, cool! FF22 is a hit amongst people who are scent snobs, Europeans with more diverse tastes, and people who are more in the “know” about fragrances.
A lot of you guys, fall into the latter category (scent snobs, Europeans with more diverse tastes, and people who are more in the know about fragrances).
Totally cool. It’s why we love you. And THANK you for participating!
The kicker, though… is that The Normal Everyguy ISN’T as vocal and community oriented as you guys… He wants to smell good. He wants to smell good and attract people NOW. So that means we have to read between the lines to make sure we’re hitting the target and we’re making things appropriate for the Ammo market.
Bearing the design philosophy of Ammo in mind (high design, democratized for Normal American Joe), is FF21 great? Yeah! It smells like a slightly higher end generic Cool Water-ish scent–close to Green Irish Tweed. Soapy, green, intense, clean. Good! And physically, it FILLS the room with a pheromone-enhanced scent trail that leads straight back to YOU, the wearer.
Which is just about the level we want it. Cool. Design intent, check. It’s simple, it’s hyper diffusive, and it gets its job done.
FF22? (And 20 too, for that matter) A little… hoity toity. Of COURSE you guys dig it – you’re classy people. We’re classy people. We have the taste to know it’s special, and why it’s special.
Why are we calling the FF22 Ammo the “World Edition”? Because the folks out there in the international theatre have a more diverse palate, and dig classy stuff, wayyyy more than your normal American Joe off the street could.

After reading this, I’m now not sure which Ammo version to get!
They both sound as if there are upsides and downsides.
I like cool water, but don’t want a cologne that’s too strong.
I like sounding sophisticated (I am 40 now after all) but I’m not really a scent snob.
Decisions, decisions… may have to get one of both and switch them up…
Tezz, If I were to bet, I think you would like FF22 a little more. I just have that itching little feeling telling me so.
But, since you’re allll the way on the other side of the planet, I’d definitely recommend getting both. What I’d do is get a big World Edition, and a togo Ammo default edition, and let me know what you think. I’m itching to see if I was right on this one!

I have taken your advice & have changed my order, of the TOGO version to the FF21 & the big bottle to the FF22, hope it’s ok…
I would also, like to add CTTM to my order, can you ensure it get actioned before my order gets sent out as I don’t want to pay for the additional intl postage., … I can give you my order no thru PM if u want…

So FF21 has a much better sillage, eh? I think the game scent one had a pretty strong diffusion too. Girls would glance at me from even 15 to 20 feet away. Some could even trace the pheromone scent back to me from 30 feet away or more. I think I got much more BLATANT ( DIHL ) hits with it than my FF22 beyond 10 feet. I do get great hits from FF22 also, but it seems to take a little bit more time to stink up a room with my pheromone cloud, haha. However, within 5 to 10 feet, they all work pretty much the same and get girls interested. It is classic to watch girls continuously flipping their hairs, when you are sitting across from them in a lab section - 5 to 10 feet away
FF22! It dries down nicely…and reminds me of Silver Mountain Water (AKA GOODNESS!!!)

well f22 is agreable with me, its no master piece, but its ok. I end up just covering ti with something with some girls although, but its just because they cant smell it much. Really has a poor difusion.
What is the current ammo scent?
FF21 is the current default, but its out of stock for a little while. Hopefully returning in the next couple of weeks

Right now all we have in stock is FF22 which is the world edition.
Just because the scent isn’t strong enough or can’t be smelled from 50 feet away doesn’t mean the pheromones aren’t being diffused properly. The Neroli scent even at its lowest scent percentage gets the job done just as well for example.
Well anything other than F21 lol Im not a fan anymore of the current smell

FF21 is nice, FF20 is probably better than 22 as well. 22 is just miserable.
The one I have now which it says Batch #213 Version 1.0.1 smells like fresh Irish Spring Soap…I LOVE IT!
