whats the best cure for Gout ? it’s bloody painfull shit when you eat row seafood food or drink too much piss. (alcoholic drinks )
There are certain things you can take to eliviate the symptoms of gout.
Bromelain (from pineapple) should be taken on an empty stomach. It has a way of going right to inflamed areas as an anti-inflammatory.
Curcummin works similar as above.
Fish Oil taken with Vitamin E
Devils Claw
Celery Seed
P-5-P
Butchers broom
Do a search on Google and those are the top vitamin herbal remedies that appear. Best of luck.
NEVER take aspirin.
Thanks m8 dont have gout yet but my m8 had it and I feel realy sorry for him.
Time best helps relieve gout. The key is once its better changing your habits so it doesn’t return.
Skip the alcohol
Stay away from acidic foods and the nightshade veggies. Limit your meat but increase your protein using nuts or tofu.
Drink lots of water to help flush those uric acid crystals out of the blood stream.
Out of what Steve mentioned already I feel the Devils claw would be the most beneficial. Its been clinically proven to help with Gout. I also suggest getting some Turmeric, its a spice you put on food. It has high anti inflammatory effects and with help with the inflammatory response your having to the uric acid in your blood. Curcummin is the active ingredient in Turmeric and its easier to obtain and use.
Now you can also try what my grandmother used to treat the pain part until the other alternative take effect.
Vinegar and cayenne pepper. Dont ingest it LOL.
Mix some (about 1 to 2 tablespoons) of cayenne pepper in a bowl with 1 cup of vinegar and really warm water. Go as warm as you can stand it without burning yourself. Then soak a cloth in it and wrap it around the whole top part of your foot.
I have Balms that I make with cayenne pepper that work wonders on painful joints and muscles. It works better then any other store bought remedy around.

Good advice from both above. I’ve suffered occasionally for years but gout is not related to my current foot problems.
In addition, I found this worked for me - Go through your diet and eliminate as many of the risk factors as you can. Maintain this for a few weeks.
Then re-introduce them one at a time until you find which are the real triggers, then avoid them as much as possible.
In my case, it was alcohol and broccoli - in surprisingly small amounts - I can manage just about everything else. I only drink occasionally now and usually leave several days between doing so.
The acid thing is true but I was surprised to find that the traditional remedies of taking something more acid to help counteract it can work. I started by having a tablespoon of vinegar in a little water twice a day (blech!) but went-on to concentrated cherry juice - in liquid or dried capsule form and surprisingly, that did help.
Have you been given any medication for it yet? I did find that indomethacin worked very well for the sort of intermittent attacks I get and a packet can last me a very long time - So long that the label on my last bottle had worn-out and I had a hard time deciding if it was mine or something for the cat!
If that fails and you need long term medication, Allopurinol seems the drug of choice and it does seem very well tolerated - I know two people who swear it has transformed their lives by relieving the symptoms. ![]()
Lose weight. I was diagnosed with it once. Went away after I lost about twenty pounds…
Strangely, my gout has always hit when I’ve been at my leanest & fittest.
In part maybe due to the trigger veg being more prominent in my diet & of course when I was partying hard!

Man, I need to party with you! This may sound strange, but I’ve heard that apple cider vinegar (with the “Mother”) might help with gout. I tried it for sinus problems and I got positive results.
Might be worth a try…
Good luck!
Yes - It was cider vinegar I started with, then moved on to the concentrated cherry juice - which TBH was better and more palitable. ![]()

Your not banned, if you were you couldnt login or post at all and we couldnt respond to it because we wouldnt see it.
So… some people got a little snarky with you on the forum. Thats there problem not yours. Only by letting it get to you or responding to it do you make it your problem. Just ignore it and do your thing.

I heard a fitness expert (Peter Neilsen) doing his little 1 minute health answers the other day and he said low fat dairy helps with gout. He cited a study but I can’t find it on his website. In an odd bit of synchronicity I have heard or seen gout come up in about half a dozen different places in the last month. Weird.
Yes, I’ve heard the dairy thing as well.
Tried it too when I first had symptoms of my current foot problem but with no effect but that’s not unsurprising now its conclusive it is nothing to do with gout. ![]()
