I’ve been using “Mr Brightside” by The Killers since college and I’ve decided it’s time to change it. I just can’t find the perfect ringtone yet, which is for me, something that will wake me up but not too noisy. Any suggestions?
I have a crazy mix of ringtones! My kids made me get ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ by Foster the People, which is so damn bubbly! I have Jimmy Eat World ‘The Middle’, Warrant ‘Heaven’, Theory of A Deadman ‘By The Way’, KISS ’ I Was Made For Lovin’ You’, Saving Abel ‘The Sex Is Good’ and Rob Zombie ‘Dragula’ on this phone, I had tons of them on my old phone.
On my Droid Incredible, I use the pre-set ringtone called “Alpha”, it’s a mellow zen-like chime that will wake me up, but is definitely not annoying.
People are always surprised a little (“is that your phone ringing?”) because it’s a little different than the typical ringtones people tend to have (ie, shrill, loud, musical, etc).
I like it because it’s unobtrusive, yet tasteful, yet also a head-turner in its own way, not obnoxiously “in your face”. Not trying to “make a statement” about myself or my taste in music. It’s just a phone ringer, lol.
Other ringtones I’ve liked on previous phones include “boiling water” (sounds exactly like rapidly boiling water, blub blub blub) and a tiny kitten meowing. Again, unobtrusive, loud enough to wake me and a little different. I think “boiling water” was the best of all. Of course I could never find it again, lol.
Apart from choosing the most annoying tone on the phone and only switching that on for an alarm in the morning, my phone spends the rest of its time on buzz.

My default ringtone is the ATT default tone
This of course is all subject to change as I learn how to use the phone.
at the moment it’s “What I Am” by Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians for most people and the horns intro to Jaco Pastorius’ “Liberty City” from the “Word Of Mouth” album, for the special few.
Sexy and ik it for my wingmen, I wanna Fuck you for Booty Calls, Beat dat beat for bitches who I am just toying around with. Till I collapse for my workout buddies. Act a Fool for work.
