Well I’ve seen this request many times. Personally I find emoticons to be a distraction from good posts. Maybe one to show humor or something else, but to many takes away from the value. Just my opinion

Emoticons add value, because they help to emphasize and add to things you’re saying, words aren’t always quite enough.
