No idea, I’ve been using smart phones for so long that I get automatic reminders of important dates well in advance. Hell even my yahoo email account has the birthdays of everyone I know marked on the calendar with reminders up to two weeks in advance.
I suppose if I was caught in the situation I’d shift it slightly. I remembered/knew when her birthday was…I just lost track of todays date. “You mean it’s friday already? holy crap I spent the whole time thinking it was barely wednesday!”
But seriously, you can set up the calendar in yahoo mail with the birthdays and holidays you need to remember and even set it to send automatic reminders at intervals ranging from two weeks to three days in advance…both by email and by text message. So there’s not a whole lot of excuses.
You guys are funny…
That actually happened to me once, a looooooong time ago… I was “seeing” this guy and he forgot my birthday and I’m certainly not the type to do “a countdown” to the day, so I didn’t remind him or anyone else. *Side-note: I’ve told him several times in the past when he asked me when my birthday was, so it’s not like it was news to him & he didn’t have to remind me about his birthday, which came before mine.]
So, my birthday came and I had a great day; because he didn’t remember what day it was, we didn’t arrange to meet (it fell on a Wednesday)… So we’re on the phone, as I’m getting ready to go out w/the fam and he asked something like “why are going out on a Wednesday?” So I told him my parents were taking me to diner for my b-day.. Can you imagine he got MAD at me, because I didn’t tell him it was my birthday???
Needless to say, we’re NOT together!
Purchase a few big sticks of sidewalk chart (your choice of colors) and write a short and sweet note in front of her house - so that she will see it. Remember it has to be short sweet.
