I know for a fact he wasn’t her husband; he’s single and her husband is Japanese. Seriously, the second explanation is more likely spot on. I agree on the vibe thing, it’s just that I’ve lost some my sense of social interactivity and just wanted to throw that possibility out there. Now, I need the right phero to repel a quiet, geeky 30 yr old

First time using pheros at work today for meetings, wearing Instant Gentleman x3 (chest, sides of neck). As an afterthought, I added 1 shot of Instant Shine to the neck a few minutes before I walked in. The meetings went well, I felt slightly intoxicated and probably cracked a few more jokes than usual and the general mood was good and relaxed. People were more talkative than usual. I’m tempted to get some A314, but perhaps I should try its mixes first (MX102-5), particularly because they’re in spray form. Remember, my office meetings are only once a week.
Tomorrow evening is the last Japanese class session and I’ll probably wear Instant Gentleman (last time I only had Instant Shine on) and perhaps throw in some Instant Openness for grins.
Wednesday is my big first “date” with W, to help her edit a paper for class. I really value her friendship and our relationship is growing stronger (we’re still exchanging emails daily) so I don’t want to overwhelm her with pheromones. Mahalo Silver wrote in the “Asian chicks” thread:

The MXs 102-5 are variations on the original A314 recipe. While some members are getting results with them, it might be in your best interest to try the original recipe first.
As far as your ‘date’ with W, I would say 1 spray of Instant Gentleman, 2 sprays of Instant Honesty, and 2-3 sprays of IS. 1 spray of Instant Female Magic on the back of your neck, or top of your head (I assume the two of you will be sitting down or that you’re not gigantic compared to her.) But if you want to keep it really simple. I’d say 2 shots of IH and 2-3 shots of IS, let it dry down before meeting her.

The reason I’m tempted to try the A314 mixes first is that they come in smaller containers and that, not being oil-based, don’t stick around as long. I’m not at the office for more than 3 hours, although I’ve been reading about a314’s usefulness outside the work environment.

Yea, that’s true, they are smaller and the sprays don’t stick around as long. That also means that hits might be more pronounced, whether they are positive or negative.
TBH, I haven’t even used A314 in the workplace yet. I just don’t feel like its appropriate (yea..I know..huh?) I haven’t met you before, but you don’t seem that confrontational or like you need to mellow out. In my experience with IG as a younger man, it does mellow me out - smooths me out - but it makes for a better base than bait - if you follow. IH is the key in this combo. IH brings people together, starts conversations, and keeps topics meaningful and interesting (doesn’t mean serious, it can be silly and lighthearted at the same time too). The IS is just a great overall polish and is like a good wax on a car. It doesn’t matter what color/year/model/make/condition (almost) your car is in, a good wax just makes it that much sweeter to look at/be around.
Your intuition is spot on: I’m pretty mellow and not confrontational but I used to be perceived as intimidating -not in a physical way- especially by junior employees (I’ve been with the company for 20+ years) because of my high level of knowledge/experience and low level of tolerance towards incompetence and stupidity . That hasn’t happened as much in the last few years since I’ve started working from home although my reputation still lingers, especially since I refresh it once in a while 
I really need to start playing with Instant Honesty. I’m a bit frustrated with my inability to use pheros every day and in multiple situations, which makes proper testing hard to stick to.

Yea, I suggest getting a hold of Instant Honesty. It’s not for everyone, but the people who do happen to like it, love it. It’s like my little key to the outer folds of everyone’s inner world.
I do have togos of all the instants and have 2x of both IH and ishine in my cart (checking constantly for MX200 to be in stock, but losing hope). Still haven’t tried ammo, because it smells too strong to me, possibly because I haven’t worn even aftershave in a long time.
AMMO has a fairly strong cologne smell. Can’t really cover it up. But you can get it in Neroli scent for an extra 5 bucks. I think the next time I go with AMMO I might do that. It kind of overwhelms anything neroli I wear.
You might also feel more aggressive when you wear AMMO, I sure do.
Phya’s suggestion for your “date” with W is great. It seems you’ve used Honesty once on accident, so hopefully you’re use to its effects? Honesty and Shine works well on pretty much any type of Asian. You might want to bring the shine with you, as the effects seem to last about 2 hours tops. Honesty will last longer. Not sure how long you will be meeting with W, but something to keep in mind.
Will bring extra IS because it’ll prolly be longer than 2 hours. Thanks for the heads up.

Heh, glad to have helped. Well, you deserve more than me, being more senior here and having more experience, not to mention a better environment to test in. Other than at home -I’m done persuading the wife- I only meet Asian people a couple of times a week. Looking forward to your tests.

Omphalos, I find seniority isn’t a very good indicator of several things like maturity, understanding, tolerance or being able to convey information properly.
Just reading your journal, you seem far more educated and tolerant than 99% of the online users in several of the forums that I troll. Go look at some of the forums say in World of Warcraft. The posts there can be so idiotic, views are so bigoted and closed minded and just so terrible, you’d get cancer reading it.

Thanks for the kind words, Zeph. Having a few years -many in my case- on those teenagers allows us to be more appreciative and respectful of those around us (although that is not always so). In my case, I’ve also had to take the time to learn to express myself more carefully, English being my second language.

Anyway, the class tonight was fairly uneventful (2x Instant Gentleman, 2x Instant Openness). Only 3 people showed up, so we got a lot done. The mood was relaxed and light-hearted but with a somewhat sad undercurrent, this being the last session.
Didn’t really notice any big self effects, although I did make an effort not to be overly talkative. It wasn’t very difficult to do that, this being a conversational Japanese class and me a rather unskilled beginner. Regardless, I don’t think I’ll be using Instant Openness a lot, because I’ve been known to occasionally put my foot in my mouth.
The whole spending thing is a bad habit of mine. Hopefully you’re more frugal and better with your money than I am with mine.
The more you wear pheros, the more you’ll get use to the self effects and able to control what it does to you. There have been suggestions for products like Honesty and Openness, to test them out on yourself while you’re at home or by yourself. Gives you time to see how you react to it. So I’ll probably end up using Honesty x4 either around close friends that I don’t mind spilling the beans to or if I’m home by myself during a weekend. I’ve also noticed that Shine doesn’t seem to perk me up the way it use to. 
Likewise, Ishine affected me the most the first time I used it.
Ok, I’m about to go see W. I’ve decided on the conservative route, 3x Instant Shine, 2x Instant Honesty (both from togos). I’ve read conflicting messages about togo dosage vs. full bottle, but I’ll assume togo sprays a bit less, so I may overspray a bit.
one ToGo spray = 83% of a full size spray.
about .125ml for ToGo, and .15 for full size. Thats assuming Androtics is exact to their figures.
