Yes, not deeply but enough to recognize him and his style! Love it. There are a number of jazz bands in that gypsy jazz style, including one from Minnesota called Parisota Hot Club, fantastic music.
Did you see the movie about him starring Sean Penn?
I hadn’t even known about it until I read his bio. I only recently heard about him myself, and just bought some of his CD’s.
