What's your band?

Mine, as you might have guessed, is Nirvana,my username is one of their songs…a GOOD song :slight_smile:

if you have heard it, you should definitely do so:

Sliver-
I like them too! There are so many bands I like. I get made fun of for LOVING Linkoln Park a lot-can’t help it I love them:o Also Black Crowes, Steel Pulse, Lit oh so many and so many different types of music. I pretty much am a music lover except I do not care all that much for Country. Just never got into it… I can dance to just about anything!

And I wish Prince would sing Darling Nikki to me but change it to Diana…

Oh come on, from Linkin Park and the Black Crows to Prince?

Nah! We’ll let the Foo Fighters sing it to you: [Darling Kikki](http://democomputer.com/forum_images/Foo Fighters- Darling Nikki.wma)

And, we’ll let Mikey boy sing one of his songs for ya too: [Dirty Diana](http://democomputer.com/forum_images/Michael Jackson - Dirty-Diana.wma)

That’s what you get for not liking country music! :stuck_out_tongue:

LMAO! I know I like all different genres. I just think I need to give country a chance maybe. I like Friend in Low Places - because I have so many… It was my wedding party song. I am pathetic and I know it- I go from rock, alternative, pop, etc. Believe me I get made fun of all the time!

I will try to listen to the one country station in Philly for 10 minutes tomorrow! Promise.. Maybe I will love it then and I can just be all around f’ed up! LOL

I do love the song Darling Nikki - very sexual. I really think that Prince is great. Michael and dirty Diana not so much…

My ringback tone is Diana by Paul Anka - I was named after it. LOL! Very old song.:open_mouth:

I never said I was normal.

Linkin Park - Given Up is my theme song at the moment! I love them.

Also:
The Kooks
The Killers
Finger Eleven
Evans Blue
Incubus

Pretty much anything alternative except for Coldplay -for some reason i find them insipid.

Pearljam, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Aerosmith, Santana, SRV, Foo Fighters, Nirvana…oh so much more. I also like instrumental rock performed by pros like Buckethead, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and some instrumental rock that I have found on Newgrounds.com

Against me!, Noir Désir, Pixies, Wolfsheim, Switchblade Symphony, Sisters of Mercy, Ben Harper, Dead Can Dance, Led Zeppelin, Mudhoney, Métal Urbain, Dead Kennedys, Cracker…

And a looooooooooooooot more…

I will pretty much listen to anything, but I draw the line at mainstream rap/hip-hop/r&b from the last few years (makes me sick). At the core I’m into old-school rock, The Who being my current fav (Where have I been? Out of my brain on the fiiiiiiive-fifteen!). Led Zep, Pink Floyd (love the epic space-outs, especially Echoes off the album Meddle) to name but a few. Of course theres some more modern stuff in there - Clutch, Tool, Mogwai, etc etc. I couldn’t list all of my favs, for fear of my fingers detaching themselves and running away in protest!

I recently discovered a band on Magnatune.com called ‘Sundowner’ - UK based space/stoner rock band. Some epic trips in their debut album.

In a nutshell: I love music.

I’m sure we can’t list all the bands we love, hell I don’t think I could do it even if I wanted to..

But I haven’t seen The Smashing Pumpkins mentioned yet..and I’ll throw this out there, does anyone know The Living End?

Lessee… my current playlist on the iPod-not consists of Saving Abel, Green Day, Evanescence, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, The Offspring, 3 Days Grace, Seether, Buckcherry, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy, Puddle of Mudd, Suicidal Tendencies, and Faith No More.

Any Sister Machine Gun fans in here?

Helloooo? (echo)

Damn.

How can you put the Dead Kennedys and Led Zeppelin in the same sentence? It seems… sacrilegious.

Buckethead is coming to town this month with That 1 Guy. Have you seen him yet?

Damn, I’d like you to make me a mix tape!

Hey, I have to rush out the door in a minute on a hopefully exciting phero-mission, so I can’t succumb to the siren lure of list-mania. But now playing… Mahavishnu Orchestra
(just applied - 3x A314, 4x IS, 2x IO, 1x TUTH and 2x IFM)

Ugh, I’m not a Coldplay fan either, one of my favorite Sirius radio stations did a Clodplay week not long ago, and I refused to listen to the station for weeks after that. :frowning:

How come nobodies mentioned Hinder, The All American Rejects, some of the Indie stuff like Liz Phair or Dido, or classics like Boston and Journey?

Here’s a few of my favorites that never got any real airplay to get ya started:

All American Rejects - Kiss Yourself Goodbye

All American Rejects - Dance Inside - My cell phone ringtone

Dido - I’m No Angel

Liz Phair - My Favorite Underwear

Liz Phair - Hot White Cum

I love Liz Phair! i’M

I like early Liz Phair. I’m impressed cowboy!

Lucinda Williams never, ever leaves my disc lineup.

Hey Mark,

I like Coldplay because I only had one CD in my car driving from Houston to Abilene to see a friend, so I think of heat, jack pumps, armadillos, and tumbleweeds whenever I hear anything from the Parachutes album. (Kinda like I equate the Cure with the Everglades.)
