"Beer dudes", "fat tires", plant estrogens and friendly guys

BTW, did you know that the hop (latin: Humulus lupulus) that is used in beer, contains a compound Phenol, which is akin to estrogen, a female hormone.
So, if you wanna have bigger breasts, beer is the way to go!

Yet it appears you’ve set up an absolute rule for sex-roles between men and women.

I think the outside edges of your hypothesis about sex-roles are worthwhile to consider as well. I, being transgendered, obviously feminine, yet obviously with a Y chromosome, have had experiences that sometimes line up with your models of sex-roles and sometimes don’t. In other words, I always felt like I am really a woman, yet anyone looking at me sees what they think is a man.

As an example that would apply to all men, I lived in Taiwan for a year and a half. I think it’s because the gene pools are so different and complimentary, there are vast swaths of Taiwanese women we called “fan girls” who just want to get with some white men. Basically any white male (any) there has the easy social sexual power of an average looking college aged woman in America. Whether he works it or not – well, he’ll end up with some pretty Taiwanese girl. If he’s genuinely cool, he’s golden.

And in my own particular make-up, mostly I’ve dated women ranging from tomboys to a boy dyke who had the attitude and swagger of James Dean. The guys I’ve dated were all ostensibly “straight” except one I met one time in drug re-hab. I’m not into the gay scene, at all. Basically I tend to date the same people that any bi-ish dyke woman dates. But I don’t look like a woman!

And I’ve had a lover at every birthday party for the last decade (though seldom the same one, which I am working hard to fix), and most all of them, male or female, have pursued me. In other words, I haven’t been lonely, and I’m not “acting like a man” even though biologically I am.

I think some of my experience is generalizable as a queer experience, but also as something that men who take the time to make themselves beautiful in traditionally feminine ways could experience. Really, I hung out with Pick Up Artists in Atlanta for about a year, and if they weren’t such players, you’d think half of them were gay boys (Or, for god’s sake, look at Mystery).

In my opinion, a huge part of PUA for men is stealing the frames that women typically use in our PUA, becoming the prize, putting your target in her place (playfully) as she tries to chase you… getting her to invest in the interaction, then manipulating from there (playing with sunk cost fallacies, in my opinion, which work on EVERYONE, male or female).

Anyways,

A little rambly, but my thoughts on variables you’re too-quickly discounting.

But if someone THINKS they have the silver bullet, they’ll walk in with a lot of confidence, which rocks for anyone, male or female.

By “lover at every birthday party” I mean my long term relationships… The little flings in between are kind of irrelevant to me. I prefer a real bond with someone, and I have lived with my last two lovers for over a year.

Anyways, I know a lot of people are looking for other things… looking for hookups or whatever. Yet most of the boys out there don’t really know how to slut it up if that’s what they’re really wanting. I mean, there’s a lot of ego and stuff involved (for everyone), and I think people pass on way more opportunities than they should if they just want to hook up.

Or, as my Qi Kung teacher would say, “you’ve diluted your intention.” You’re not just looking to hook up, you’re looking to do so in a way so your friends think you’re cool, or you’re looking to do so in a way that minimizes your own risk of rejection (again, I watch my male and female friends do that)… so yea, you’re looking for “the perfect moment” and it never comes. Meanwhile there’s a 38-year-old cutie over there you’re overlooking while you slaver over those six vacuous blonds. She has an awsome attitude and would be a lot of fun to hang out with-- could probably teach you a thing or two also, who really wants to get laid too.

But as you say, there are far too many variables in people to think of it like physics.

I love this thread but the fact that girls are aggressive in getting men by throwing out signals to get mens attention is sort of getting overlooked. They’re actually taking the first step, and any guy that knows those signals knows hes just reacting and not really being the first to do anything or acting. The guys who don’t have a f’n clue but see the pretty girl thrusting her assets out, running her fingers through her hair, flipping her hair etc etc(her making a scene and him seeing it) go over and start the vocal conversation thinking that hes the leader when its really the girl being the leader. All girls know body language, and they almost always start the physical conversation, while the men are expected to start the vocal one.

So I get the women attract, men act… but when you really look at it, its the women acting and thinking their body language is obvious hoping the male knows what the hell is going on and will respond in kind(most don’t know it but a lot will respond anyways). Pheromones obviously help but it also greatly increases male odds when you know a girl is interested before you even walk over to her

So as a man who is testing different pheros you don’t need to act to know they are working

Very wise observation, applicable in more then just perusing the opposite sex.

Holy shit this thread is awesome. Should be required reading for newbs like myself!!!
