Self effect: A high, lucidity and aggression

The self effect of pheros such as IS are well documented. Personally, I felt a bit high, reminiscent of Sunday mornings during my Happy Mondays era (leading to the Prodigy, Trance, Jungle and Disco House ‘period’ before the Daiper years)

It also seems to be the case that Instant Female Magic promotes depression in some who wear it (I may be lucky as it doesn’t affect me). I haven’t tried Spaceland but it is an extreme form of Instant Openness which I have noticed affects me postively, so Androstenol alpha exhibits pronounced self-effect in some (most?). I’ve also read about TAF and it’s self-effects on lucidity (it sounds a bit like being mildly stoned).

As -none products can promote aggression in other males, why does this effect not exhibit in the males using strong -none products? Does anyone have experience of feeling a bit ‘aggro’ or punchy when wearing it? Ridiculous as it sounds, some beers affect guys this way more than other beers (e.g. Stella Artois aka ‘WifeBeater’) so I’d be amazed if pheros didn’t. I have always tended to stay away from -nones as I prefer the social pheros and didn’t seem to need them, but in my declining years I’m trying TUTH and Ammo and don’t feel anything but good (probably because of the buffers).

Maybe those aggressive feelings would be more pronounced in an aggressive environment. I personally have never worn -none in a male rich environment, but there are those nights when by mistake, you end up in a bar that in earlier times has been very good for meeting girls but has since been abandoned by them leaving a load of wannabe AMOGs on the prowl.

Anyone tried just -nones and feeling aggro?

Yes. Combined with my personality, it sends off an edgey vibe that seems to scream “don’t get near me” and esp. family members pick up on it and stuff I’ll say can come across a bit cold or hostile, which is why I’m very careful wearing androstenone. I think 2.5-4mcg is about the upper limit for me when dealing with men and I think it tends to send off a bit of a negative vibe to some women at those levels. Black men seem completely oblivious to the effects at those levels. I think unbuffered 5-6 mcg is an instant OD for me.

Apparrently dark-haired, darker skinned men tend to make more androstenone among “caucasians”, and to have generally higher testosterone (the conclusion/epilogue in Scent of Eros says as much, and cites some sources). My skin tone is a light olive, my hair is really dark brown, and comes from some French/German ancestory (and also, some Native American). Skin color is just one factor among many though, such as race, weight, age, physical activity, and other factors. ( Hmm… maybe this is why dark haired people are considered brooding thinkers, and blonds are considered more fun?)

It would be cool to have a chemical sniffer that detects pheromone levels, just to be sure… but the technology isn’t there to make them affordable for the average person.

The closest thing we have to a pheromone sniffer is nbully’s program that he posted up a couple weeks ago.

I’m 21 basically, I don’t wear any -none. In fact, I have fairly minimal experience with Ammo and Turn Up The Heat because of my dislike of -none. One/two sprays of Ammo is enough for me to get hyped up and ready to destroy whatever is in front of me, in everyway possible. I’ve felt this before, mostly in the form of pent up frustration as a kid. Those were not…productive..times. I either ended up having a lot of fun one way or another, or just being pissed off, moody, and dark.

I love that jolt of energy that -none gives me, but I need to be able to switch gears and -none keeps me rooted in the primal fuck or fight, when sometimes I’m like, dude, I need to discuss. Where are my higher cognitive functions when I need them?

I’ve worn higher doses of -none (Instant Jerk) unbuffered around fairly male rich situations (ie, college party) A fight did break out, but not directly in my presence and was one of those places/scenes where a fight was likely to break out anyways. Also, I didn’t know who’s party it was, but I knew enough people there to be safe. I can usually walk to places I shouldn’t and walk out unscathed, I don’t know what that might mean about me, but in any case, people don’t really fuck with me.

Daedelus, you remind me of something. I’m no football player or anything. I’m tall for an Asian, but I’m not some huge guy. But, regardless, I’ve still been told that I’ve got too much testoterone. That’s more likely a comment on my behavior than an actual estimation of my testosterone levels, but the reason why something clicked was because I tan very dark. People often think I’m filipino or thai, sometimes even Samoan/Islander. I’m pretty sure my darker skin is just a result of me being in the sun all the time as a kid, but I’m certainly much darker than some of my fellow Koreans.

I have had only a problem once and that is when i wore two drops of Raw power in a bar, with no cover, and no socials, basically no buffer, and almost started a fight. Well I did not start a fight, the other guys did.

For the most part I can wear a lot of none with no problems without aggression.

Myself personally I do not feel any self effects of aggression when wearing none. I see more fights break out from too much alcohol then too much none IMO

Even if I had a bad experience at home (fight with GF) or work (yelled at by boss), I don’t allow my emotions to impact my professionalism or sociality. In other words I’m in control of my persona, not my emotions, beer or mones. The before mentioned is something any man can learn to do with a little practice and persistence. It will bring much success to your life. With that said, I can wear high dosage of androstenone and don’t feel a thing. In other words, my basic personality doesn’t change one iota, i.e., am still friendly, mellow and cuddly. And even if I felt differently, I wouldn’t let it control me.

Gegogi is cool, of course so it doesn’t bug him. Me, it’s a bit like the Incredible Hulk (Data 4 and I once talked about this in a thread). Even being in a room where I spilled a few drops can sort of push me towards that edge. It’s harder to chill out- if I’ve misplaced something I can’t find, for instance, it becomes really hard to think clearly because my brain is ovewhelmed by the reptilian side. I think androstenone is largely responsible in those situations. It would be pretty funny really if it weren’t me. I did crazy stuff once like I lost my reading glasses and they were right in front of me, but I was just fuming mad and nervous. This was the “haunted room” effect I was talking about last month that I had (androstadienone was also the culprit) - then I got smart and realized you need to work in a well ventilated place when mixing pheromones, and you need to air the room out, too and clean up any spills (BTW, I’m not joking but I’m going to invest in a chemical mask filter to work around some of this stuff- plus I think it will be useful for some perfumery. BTW, nitrile gloves are also good to have when handling androstenones like NPA or copulins- it keeps down the “ghost” effects and makes cleanup easier- I just wash the gloves later)

So many factors come into play with this stuff. Everything including culture, upbringing, where you work, age, race, etc., etc. In fact, I’d say Gegogi and Daedelus can be indicative of opposite ends of the spectrum. Gegogi, being a college professor in his 50’s, needs to have a personality that’s hard to phase externally, or he couldn’t do what he does for a living. In fact, I’ll even posit that he’s got excellent blood pressure and is in pretty good shape for his age. Not to say that Daedelus isn’t in shape or has health problems, but personality speaking, he’s introverted and antisocial (with all due respect), and but for the experimenting with pheromones, is probably just fine left alone. Given that, it’s easy to see how the pheromones affect the two so differently.

And just to make sure it’s understood, I mean no offense to either of you, and am just putting into words observations I’ve made over time. I’ve developed a healthy respect for you both and hope you don’t mind my making examples out of you.

No disrespect taken of course, but I’m not really “fine” being left alone. I just saw pheromones as a way to try to get beyond being a wallflower for the rest of my life, though I admit I could probably live out the rest of my days as a hermit if I had to. I’m also not a “cool” person in always having a level head, I’ve done my share of crazy things but they are probably totally different than anything else you’ve ever heard of somebody doing. I’m more “rational” oriented and I don’t like thinking with my feelings but I’ve always got emotions brewing under my exterior. My dad was even more repressed in his emotions. My emotions come across in different ways- I’m passionate about alot of things, from politics to public policy issues sometimes, to music (I love classical music, especially Romanticism or Impressionism… sometimes Baroque music too) or art (i’ve done a little bit of that too). But that passion sometimes comes across as being very serious or brooding to other people, which is too bad. I think alot of the time people don’t want to see the world through somebody else’s eyes. I admit I’m guilty of this sometimes too- I can’t stand watching many TV shows, for instance (I hate most sitcoms, just hate them- though I like cartoon shows, sci-fi, some crime shows, though- but I like to do stuff beyond watching TV and commercials), and would have trouble relating to people that do. But it’s important to try and bridge the gap sometimes

Plus, I bet Gegogi probably has less androstenone to start out with, since he’s Asian and er, more mature than me (no offense… now that we are in the mood to not offend people).

Hm… I wonder if the higher androstenone really is assosciated with the “Lone Wolf” thing, or is it all down to just personal choices and the way you were raised? Or both?

Thanks for the reply which I read with interest. Hopefully the level of self control you describe is developed by most people with any viable intellect at a pretty early adult age? Those others, I shall try best to avoid, and thankfully I suspect they’re not on this forum.

The question related to feelings and specifically not behaviour. Unlike behaviour, personality not being something we can consciously manipulate at will (I’d best give a ‘nod’ to various psychological therapies here lest they be overlooked), the influence of pheromones on emotion within the context of that personality and the resultant feelings, controlled or otherwise is of great interest. I appreciate the candour of the replies.

Actually, I don’t feel a damn thing emotionally from androstenone, so it isn’t merely a question of self control. Nevertheless, as a professional musician I was trained from childhood to turn my emotions on and off at will. Engaging one’s emotions as a musician, actor, dancer, etc., is part and parcel of the creation of expression in a performance. Emotions may be fabricated and disciplined, but nevertheless they are real for that moment. Anything less and the performance is immediately recognized as purely technical and forced.

I really doubt higher or lessor amounts of androstenone account for much in terms of sociality. Otherwise, you’d feel and act differently after a shower! It probably has everything to do with personal choice, mental health, upbringing and your genes.

Surely rather than ‘turning emotions on and off’ (a phrase I’ve always had difficulty with), it’s a matter of finding a key back to a previous (unfabricated) emotion that you can then apply to and express through the music? As a professional musician, I infer a performing musician rather than an academic you are no doubt rather good at doing this and as such will possess a level of emotional awareness that makes you specifically qualified to comment on the self effects of pheromones. There are many of these ‘technical and forced’ musicians, music academics being a particularly common form as it’s how rudimentary music exams are passed. I’m sure you’ve played with a few in your time.

People do behave differently, or certainly feel differently after a shower for myriad reasons that I’m not even going to begin to speculate on other than to say that it’s more likely to be psychological rather than physiological. You’re quite correct about personal choice, mental health, upbringing and your genes, of course as it covers most of the nature/nurture set, but if that were complete then there would be no room left for pheros and we’re all, including you wasting our money.

Anyhow, apologies for being personal, but I thought you were 29 and androstenone deficient (your words)? Those with already high androstenone, or those with higher testosterone and hairy as a bear are a different beast and as such will have different experiences to share as regards -none supplements.
