Beta-Nol and listening to music....

Beta-Androstenol does something to the brain’s listening centers so music is easier to listen to and feels like it goes in to deeper parts of the brain… when we were much younger and considerably dumber we’d smoke cruddy weed out of bong packed with chipped ice and have long listening sessions with outrageously kludged together stereo systems… if you can remember Quadraphonic you are old… much too old… and… at the time it seemed revelatory… there was stoned listening and there was straight listening and the two were non-continuous worlds… now that we have grown up and left our childish ways behind us, we still hanker for the parallel universe of stoned listening without the downsides of stoned listening… so we become Audiophiles and build systems that no same person would invest so much time, energy, money, or discussion in obtaining… and, yes, when you get it just right a well put together audiophile sytem will get you there, sans dope… how sad for the iPod generation that they will never have this experience unless they know the right people, much like beautiful, flexible youth trying to explain to a repressed generational member what glorious oral sex feels like… as we try to explain back when glorious aural sex feels like… ahhhh… enter pheromones, in this case, the rather notorious “thank you for sharing” beta-androstenol… methinks that beta-Androstenol has some activating effect on the inner auditory centers, such that certain persons may suddenly have their inner dialogs, monologs, commercial breaks, rants, whines, observations, musings, soliloquies, jingles, random effluvia, and all else rattling around the great hard drive, become crystal clear and loaded for externalization… (lucky you, sitting there, having to witnesss a grey matter data dump)… howzever, beta-Androstenol also works in the other direction… it seems to give the auditory centers bat ears or greatly enhanced hearing-thinking acuity (such that following foreign languages is much easier, even ones I don’t speak in the slightest like Mandarin sound like they have a decodeable structure versus sounding like a stream of undifferentiated mush)… thus it so happens that beta-Androstenol and audiophile tastes are well matched… a little wipe of beta-Androstenol concentrate under your nose before listening to a fascinating recording can be almost a meditative, consciousnes stretching brain Yoga experience… and that may tell us about the future possibilities of pheromone use…

Hmm, that is an interesting and intriguing post.. I know exactly what you’re saying (aside from the b-nol, I don’t have that yet)… Would you go as far as saying that it helps put you in the ‘zone’? That mental zone where your thoughts and consciousness become one? Or is it more on the creative side of things? I think there is a fine line between the two… But if it has the ability to raise your consciousness/concentration to being in the ‘zone’ it could make a world of difference in just about everything we do in day to day life along with chatting with the opposite sex..

I have had quite intense meditative positive expereinces with beta-nol and an Photosonix mind machine when used in the audio only mode, in the various “aerobic jump” programs… it felt like my mind had “widened”… or what I was walking around assuming was my broad mind was in fact narrow as a pocket canyon… the 'nol plus the right frequencies from the MM was sort of like driving out of a deep canyon onto an open plain… like many more frequencies were available… it felt strange at first, like a drug that was much more sophisticated than any drug I had taken previously…

Does a pair of HD280s + self-built OPA 2132 CMOY headphone amp + Creative Zen Microphoto count?

The problem with MP3 is that so much of the audio simply just isn’t there…

I’m professional musician and have used beta androstenone in chemset form and in mixes for the past couple years. Great social asset–fosters good conversations–but I can’t say it does anything for me musically as a performer, conductor or listener. Of course I’ve used it so long I have a strong tolerance.

I’d expect both things to be true… pheromones do habituate, so I only use them intermittently… and as a pro musician, you’re probably tuned in on a different level than us regular puds…

After playing with taf recently I’d have to wonder if paired with beta androstenol would increase the effect.

also worth observing… the chasm between what the gererale publique thinks is state of the art sound (is hideous, compressed, wildly degraded, vile shite, but… yes… it is portable… as if…) and what real top notch sound sounds like is like the difference between having sex with plastic blow up doll and having sex with a nubile love goddess… the High End Audio community is as esoteric and unfathomable as the Pheromone community until you know the layout of the place… somehow Great Sound and Great Sex are made for each other… if you’ve ever experienced them together this requires no explanation…  :stuck_out_tongue:

Master tacitus,
where do you think P83 fits into the sound arena given what has been posted on the forum before (pasted below)? How is the ‘sound altering effects’ of P83 different to Beta-Androstenol for example…
Oh and I guess steveo and Bunny can testify to the fact that ‘great sound and great sex are made for each other’…

tacitus (February 1, 2007):
“…P83 has this interesting property of letting people “hear” (in the broader sense of open communication) each other…”

tacitus (12 February 2007):
“…then back to… P83, IN moderation, “buried deep in the mix”… can put a focused, attentive, totally in the moment quality… so it might be great for performers too, say if you wanted a band to practice hard and get their gig super tight you might balance P83 for precision and Estratetraenol for groove…”

“Thanks for the info tacitus. Do you feel that p83 has a creative side to it as I have noticed. Your comment on using it for a band practice seems perfect for this one. (Heavy rock/metal)”

"2.5 mu P83 I applied to chin and inhaled during the spray. Just one spray over a mostly depleted base of >A314 mutant and Instant Shine.

After about ten minutes, I started making the small muscular adjustments that remind me of trying to clear my sinuses and nasal passages when taking off in an airplane.

Except I was flexing and extending my temporoparietal muscles, the auriculares .. and some of the jaw and throat muscles as well: clearing myears.

The next few hours riding around the city on buses and trains I was attuned to the sounds around me. Perhaps it was a shift in attention, or perhaps a real ratchet in auditory capacity – I was able to get a sense of the tone of people around me who were conversing, even when they spoke at a murmur (or I felt I did!) I seemed to have an empathetic understanding of their … “vocal intent”, if that makes any sense.

I repeated the P83 application about 8 hours later – one spray – and felt comfortable in my local bar sitting back and listening to the buzz around me. I felt I got some of the nuances of the music (videos) playing in the bar – more than I would ordinarily have picked up on – and could suss out the quality of laughter of various people there. I was able to rapidly shift my attention to tune into a short utterance from across the room, then jump back to two or three other conversations.

While I could hear words if I wanted to, I wasn’t eavesdropping – I ignored the words, for the most part, and tried to just listen to tone and rhythm.

I wondered if I’d shift into non-semantic audition (when listening to a quality of a person’s voice and you shift into a mode where although you hear the words, you only hear the words as if they were nonsense sounds; you can pick a word and repeat it until it begins to lose it’s meaning-carrying value, until it’s just a sound).

I didn’t, but I’ll make a conscious intention to go there if I can when I try P83 next.

In summary: high auditory alertness, flexibility, and perhaps even enhanced sensitivity, preceded by face and throat “gestures” or “exercises” related to “opening ears”…
PS: I had P83 / 2.5 mcg in a to-go with no additional scent. I get a hint of a rotting/aging meat aroma from P83, but I stop sensing it after a minute."

"P83 - Mind Bending Sex
I’ve had the opportunity to try some P83 before and have used it in combination with some other stuff. This is my first use of it by itself and the results were freaking amazing.

A girlfriend of mine and I spent a bit of time together today and I had promised Jasmin I would start sampling some of the other Putatives I had. I kind of got used to the standard stuff and find it difficult to pull myself away from things that I know how I and my friends will react to.

I started with P83 tonight for no reason in particular, but holy heck the results were freaking incredible.

I was going to go on a 12 mile hike along the great Mississippi river to get some exercise, but it started to rain. I invited a friend over to chill and maybe watch a movie. There’s nothing like chilling in your living room while it rains. She agreed and I decided to use some P83.

I sprayed 36 mcg unscented to go bottle to neck area. When my friend got there she seemed to be stand offish a bit. Almost a vibe of intimidation coming from me. I talked to her and pulled her closer to me. The movie was Hidden Tiger Crouching Dragon, so it wasn’t anything romantic, but very shortly after her being pulled closer to me she was all over me. We didn’t get through more than 15 minutes of the movie before we were rattling the rafters.

By God this woman was possessed with absolute lust. She was a mad woman bent on funky monkey sex. I’m telling you we would have embarrassed the baboons at the zoo it was that crazy.

The wildest thing was that it was like we were totally connected to each other and knew exactly what the other wanted. I’ve read some older posts that it enables some type of auditory exceptions, but I’m telling you I could hear her moans before they even started.

OK so I didn’t want to post this yet but I did. For all I know it could have been a fluke, but jeez the girl is coming back over in a while and she’s got me crazy thinking about tonight."

Bunny (November 23, 2006):
"I use P83 in 3 sprays of 10 mcg doses, and I wear it both with and without P88.

When used alone, everything seems to almost, as I have said before, go into slo-mo, but in the best way it could, and using it in tandem with P88 (2 sprays of 10mcg), it’s been a bit Est-like to be honest - in that it gives a kind of “Cuddle-factor.” Not as noticeable as that achieved with Est, but still apparent"

Welllll… lately things have been ahhhh… richly sensory… combining tres complex pheromonal broths with shamanic (meaning encoded with lots of low frequency Theta pulses, as well as some Alpha and Delta materials) CDs… next I will be trying Gamma or high frequency meditation CDs in the context of sexuous Esalen massage and all that… there are points of deep mind-sensuosity where the pulses are sending out waves of neurotransmitters, and this has the wickedest synergy with the massage thing, especially when you use the best lubricants like silicones and you’re having a shared auditory moment and also slithering all over… a first class stereo set up just right would be a leap to a higher plane…:open_mouth:   :stuck_out_tongue:
