No there is no way to really tell if a person is wearing pheromones or if its his/her natural pheromones they happen to be secreting unless they use the very same product you do and you recognize the cover scent. That would be a long shot as well because take for instance neroli which is the main cover here. It is used in a lot of scents as a binder and you could be detecting that.
Pheromones have been marketed since the 60’s but as SyraBrian mentioned they have advanced a great deal since then. Plus we have a whole lot more options now then we did even 10 years ago when I started using them.
Interesting note though. People have been aware that substances we secrete arouse and attract others for centuries. They just didnt use the terms we do now for it.
Napoleon would write to Josephine before he came home “Dont wash will be returning in 3 days” He was effected sexually by her natural scent.
There is evidence that Cleopatra used her own copulins as a perfume and had them collected and added to her other scents. Wonder who got that job LOL
Edit to add >>> I almost forgot I read a study/article a while back in one of the science magazines that researchers are now investigating the possibility of pheromones or lack of them contributing to the fall of the Roman Empire. Apparently when the Romans began to prosper they could afford more luxuries such as Bath houses. People generally became more upscale and clean and the divorce rate soared and the men became less aggressive on the battlefield. It was interesting, I wish I could find the article but I only ran across a few bloggers who read it as well and mentioned it.
With the release of Dial Magnetic people are became main stream. It will still be a long time before people readily except it though. Lure for her, Realm and Jovan were sold in your local drug store for years. Dial is a big well known company though so more people took notice and tend to believe there claims. I still think it will be years before you see them in the stores anywhere near the level we use them though. So we will always have the edge.
