I wanted to experience a luxury cologne that was expensive and classy which would be a quality cover for my pheromones. After doing a lot of research on the net the Creed range was getting a lot of good reviews.
So I ordered a 75ml bottle of Green Irish Tweed from fragrancex.com which has just arrived. Spraying a shot to my wrists and to my neck my first reaction was that it was very light and not overwhelming. With all the department store fragrances when you do the first test spray it is usually synthetically overwhelming before it calms down upon your skin.
Not so with GIT it was subtle then the smell got stronger and more noticeble as time passed. The smell is so gorgeous that I can’t resist smelling my wrist. Its fresh and floral and green and subtle, it shouts quality and makes a perfect cover. The only down side is the price as it is very expensive but I am now a Creed fan and this fragrance stands out amongst the crowd. Classy and a cut above the rest.
Ah… a new convert! Welcome to the club! I made the mistake of going cheap and buying a fake, GIT-clone scented oil at first. (I use the word “clone” loosely here). It smelled okay and was close enough to the final base of GIT to pull off around non-connoisseurs, but now that I got the real thing, I’m left with only one thought. WTF was I thinking? Yeah, GIT is 'spensive, but damned it it isn’t worth it. I originally put my bottle of it on my little toiletry rack in the bathroom, next to the vial of the fake stuff, and I swear to God the real GIT adjusted it’s monicle, took a sidelong glance at the fake stuff, and said “I say, old bean… tell me, how is the air down there in Steerage?”
Maybe it was the Spaceland sitting in the box above the colognes. Stranger things have happened.
