Quiet Guy, you ever see any Marx Brothers movies? Well, Bella is the little-known Marx sister. Sometimes a little Groucho comes out, sometimes a little Chico (with that Italian accent) pops out. Ya never know what to expect here in Bella’s Ballroom (located in the Twighlight Zone section of the Women’s journals).
WE are the straight men. We don’t have to worry about being funny, we just have to worry about hanging on for the ride with this fiesty little spitfire.
She will play with our minds the way cats play with mice.
High test only, please…now put the peddle to the metal and try to keep up!
You know I did! Very intense, but oh so cool. My all time favorite Kurt Russell film is the one where he plays Elvis. Uh huh, Elvis. I know. It’s the best portrayal of Elvis I’ve ever seen. Really. Shelly Winters played his Mama. Do you know the name of that film, Robbie? It escapes me at the moment. Oh, I could never forget him as Snake Plisken in, Escape From New York. Oh, Mama…so hot/yummy. Adrienne Barbeau is in it, too. Run towards the camera, Adrienne! Lots to be said for a shot of a dish like Adrienne Barbeau running towards the camera. Steady cam…lol…yeah, right.
Batter up! Aaaand I just love a man who steps up to the plate. Who’s on second?
Yeah, that’s a favorite of mine too. “Elvis The Movie.” It was directed by John (Escape From New York) Carpenter. Just last night I had a long conversation with a friend of mine about Kurt Russell because a) I had watched “Used Cars,” and b) I’ve yet to meet a woman who doesn’t drool over Kurt Russell (I’m sure they’re out there, though). I reminded her that KR had been in an eposode of Lost In Space (which Bella just referenced) as a teen. I remember him from Wagon Train.
No, I’m so boring. Music drives my creativity, I can’t work without it…
Hi guys, don’t have a lot of time right now but I wanted to leave this for you Quiet Guy, 'cause you did ask me.
I think TAF has awareness at many levels. It’s an amplifier. For example, music. I find, when wearing TAF, if it’s not just right it can be very annoying. It makes things pop, colors, sounds and even smell. So it stands to reason that it could be useful in most artistic applications. If you wanna try it I suggest starting with a low dose, 2.5-5mcg and bump it up from there. Dose is important. It’s properties morph differently at different levels. I use it as “seasoning” in a mix. It has the ability to emphasis other pheromones in a mix. The way I react isn’t the way everyone reacts when wearing it. I get all scattered at a too high dose. Diane gets straightened out. Go figure. Very subjectjective those pheromones. Since you read Diane’s thread, you can see how important dose is. Did you read Idle’s business thread that I also linked in that post? Good info there on TAF as well.
I can tell you this…I would never attempt to apply my makeup while wearing TAF. That’s a form of art, no? I’d see every little detail and imperfection and NEVER be satified with it. So, for what that’s worth.
Abstract art, huh? I think it would be fun and worth experimenting with. Maybe we can get Robbie to step outta the box and join you for a little experiment? Maaaybeee? It would be interesting if you tested together and reported back on your findings. You could also shoot your question out on the forum. Ya never know, there might be a few more artists here who could shed some light on it for you. Not trying to be pushy, Pookie…just trying to be helpful.
Don’t know if that clears anything up for ya, Quite Guy. Guess you’ll just have to bite the bullet, spray some on and find out!
You don’t look anything like Steve McQueen, do ya?
I was not aware he was in that movie! A quick IMDB search revealed he impersonated Elvis Priestly voice in that film, but was uncredited.
I don’t recall watching that one. Is it good?
Since you are fan of John Carpenter works. I bet you are familiar with his interpretation, of that black and white movie classic “The Thing From Another World”.
I was ten years old, when I watched that movie. Needless to say I slept, with the light on that very night.
I have been busy doing other things, Ms. Selva. I hope I haven’t been missed too much, although thank you for saying that. I haven’t worn pheromones hardly at all, I just don’t feel I need them anymore, at least at the moment. Mostly what I have been doing is alot of reading and meditating, and thinking about what I will do with the rest of my life. I feel well, though.
I just stopped in to update my own journal, that’s all… and let people know I am still alive, in case they were wondering. … and I am definitely not a lone wolf anymore. I like being alone sometimes, and quiet, but I am not a wolf.
I don’t go out and socialize, so I guess I am still a lone wolf in that sense. I’m still introverted, in fact I probably socialize less. The wolf thing is something I don’t identify with much anymore, though. I don’t have problems interacting with people like I used to, I am not self-conscious, at the same time, I think I am lousy at playing the social games it takes sometimes to “get ahead”, which is something I am not interested in anymore. People can either like who I am, or not… ultimately it won’t bother me.
Well, I know you’re not a social butterfly. But I’d like to ask you something, if you don’t mind. It’s personal so you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.
Why does being social and interacting with people have to be just to get ahead? I wonder if you want to connect with people on a social level. I mean what about getting to know someone, you find interesting, just for fun? Well, I’m gonna say something here and I hope you and I know each other well enough, at this point, for you to realize I’m not attacking you. Seems to me that you’re really not giving yourself a chance. What’s more you’re selling yourself short. It’s kind of a defeatist attitude, D. You’re so smart and have so much knowledge about so many interesting things, I’m sure people would like you if you’d loosen up and relax about it a bit more. You do well here with us and have many friends. So why not with others? I mean don’t you want companionship? Jeez, I wish you wouldn’t be content to cut yourself off. I know all that nonsense can be discouraging but nothing worthwhile in life comes without effort. So what if you have to make an effort? There could be something great out there for you and you’re just too lazy to go get it. How can you expect people to like you for yourself if you never give them the chance to know you? Getting to know people takes time. Developing friendships takes time. Look at us.
Anyways, it’s none of my beeswax and if you’re truly happy with that then I’m glad. But I just wanted to ask…or say…
