Somehow you’ve managed to be polite to the other ladies in their journals, but not to me. You’ve asked for advice which I have freely given. That’s ok Bella, he’s done the same thing to me. And I got PM’s from 2 of the ladies within minutes. I’d post what they told me, but out of respect for their privacy I’m not going to. I’m gonna PM them to you though, as I know they wouldn’t mind my doing that.
Well, I guess I’ve got a nasty habit of pushing peoples buttons and not being able to tell teasing from unwanted harassment. I already apologized to Bella in Italian in my last post on her journal, but just to let you all know, I’m very sorry. I was just teasing. Maybe it didn’t come across that way

I should just be more forward and say you are all a great bunch of folks, especially you Mark, Bella, and anybody else I might have offended. When I’ve talked to people that hardly know me before, esp. women, honestly telling them how I felt, they always seemed to treat me like I was lame/insincere. I’ve even had it used against me and had my feelings hurt. I suppose I have alot to learn
This is the side of you I’d like to see.
A lot of writers “throw up” on the page when they’re hammering it out. But that’s before it’s “published”. Evidently you think twice after putting pen to paper…hence the multitude of edits. We’re all friends here, Daedelus, and you’re welcome to join us. But even when we disagree or are “critical”, with one another, we try hard not to stand in judgement…and, for the most part, get along very well. That doesn’t mean you can’t express your true opinion. It’s how you chose to do it that’s important. Truth is, I’ve met some unbelievable people on this forum…and I’ve “been around the block one or twice”, myself. Frankly, you’d be hard pressed to come across another group like this.
I think you’re a smart guy with a lot to offer and this is a good opportunity for all of us to learn.
Life’s hard and often unfair. We get beat up and it makes us easily hurt/defensive. We’ve all been there. Everybody’s got a story. Everybody’s had a rough time in one way or another, no one is immune, and no one gets away unscathed. Including me. So a little humour, understanding and empathy go a lot further than put downs, condescension and criticism. So, relax a little and join the party. There’s always room for one more.
Well, you’re in for a treat. We’re not like that here…if you behave like a gentleman you’ll be treated as such. Take a look around. If you’re as smart as you seem and as charming as you can be…

I must admit iv occasionally been guilty in going over the top with a few of my posts (im not flaming for nothing lol ), but i managed to edit them quickly afterwards to reflect a more unbiased view.

No i wouldn’t say “insult”, just unwarranted ire …but i really don’t know exactly the content of Daedelus’s un-edited posts so…cant say
I guess if i were to let slip something offensive in one of my posts id want the freedom to edit it without being held accountable for my un-edited post!
This is not to criticize Mark and Bella"s reaction… if it were me that was offended im sure id react the same.
Also, i hope im not opening up something thats already been resolved…
