So this Saturday the wife and I are going to be without the kids. Last night we spent a good amount of time trying to come up with ideas of things to do. Our list so far…
Sleep
Eat
Watch a movie
Sex
Pretty typical for us…but we are looking for other things to do. It’s getting pretty chilly here…high 40’s for the high temp, pretty rainy also, typical fall weather around the Great Lakes, so that kills off a lot of outside ideas, including many of our “haunted” attractions in the area.
So those of you that are married / LTR, what do you do for dates?
Go to a place with a fireplace.
Have hot chocolate together.
Go to a spa/sauna place.
Go dancing indoors.
Organise a dinner party with two other couples.
Play board games.
Take a cooking class together.
Or a winetasting class…
Or a cocktailmixing class…
(having kids, yes multiple I am surprised sex made the list, usually you see sleep written twice)
Depending on what you and your wife like to do…
Nice restaurant for dinner, (somewhere you have to get dressed up togo)
Movie (out)
Check for a local play, show, or see a band at a local bar.
American Idol, errr Karaoke night.
Go to a couple of auto dealers and look at cars, each test drive one you like. (something fun, sporty and fast)
hang out at the adult movie store…
mix in Peppermint Schnapps in the hot chocolate for a york peppermint patty flavored drink…
OMG… just take the wifey shopping… and pay attention to her… dont be like the guys that sit there like they are dead… or doing time in prison with glazed eyes that say “I would rather be anywhere else than here”.
Instead…let her try on things and give your opinion…talk to her and compliment her… encourage her to be daring and get something sexy that makes her feel great!.. she will appreciate that I guarantee… you will get “shopping with the wife bonus points”… which at my house I can usually trade those points for hot sex later that evening winkety winks
Rent a room at a nice place. Doesn’t have to be expensive or fancy just clean and in a nice neighborhood.
Send out for take out ( not fast food) Rent a movie you both like. Maybe take a nice shower together or even better if they have a jacuzzi tub. Have wild loud sex. Set the alarm and take a nap. Go home.
You could make it even more fun by skipping the take out and meeting at a bar or restaurant and hit on her like you dont know her. My hubby did that once it was fun and sexy as hell. We ate at the bar then he left me his room key. We didn’t need the movie
Ohhh Stop at the local erotic shop and get a couples board game then play it at the hotel while you drink hot chocolate in from of the fire. If you dont have a erotic shop try the mall. Most Spencer’s gifts have them.
My hubby hems and haws when I break our games out but he really likes them and we have a blast.
One tip though hide them from the kids, You dont want them breaking them out when grandma’s over babysitting.
Use warm chocolate syrup and peppermint schnapps and drizzle it all over each other then takes turns getting it off.
Nah women dont like just shopping with men really. We just like to torture you. But here is a ideal.
Hit the mall and look for those games and Victoria secrets and you pick out something for her to wear and buy it and she can pick out something for you to wear and buy it then get a room and have a fashion show of sorts.
The key is to do things you normally like to do together but spice it up a bit and make the time about each other.
I dont wait for date night to do this even though I have two sons. Couple weeks ago I snuck into the garage naked while he was working on the car and we had a greasy fun time.
