diffusion question

has anyone noticed diffusion differences or noticeable sillage differences between the 6% and 20% fragrance compositions?
or is it just more of a stronger smell when close enough to notice?

and for those who have customized using other scents than neroli and game, how do you like for instance chocalatini? does it actually smell of chocolate?

I found a few drops of cedar and clove EO added to a togo greatly increase diffusion.

Chocalatini makes you smell like a friggen woman…

Seems to me that increasing the amount of pure fragrance doesn’t often help diffusion. It makes it stronger in close quarters, but that’s about all. This is why people who don’t know what they are doing tend to apply way too much cologne on the wrong area, and end up reeking.

Whereas those of us who know what we’re doing will apply a very small amount in a diffusive, “hot” (from body heat) area, so that we get good diffusion without being too strong.

What I’m getting at is that I would personally recommend the 6%, applied to a “hot” area that’s not under clothing (neck or wrists, for example), for good sillage.

This is just in my experience.

I asked questions about diffusion a while back in the phero theory section, and Tisha gave a really good post in response that talks about the reasons why some fragrances are better for diffusion than others. In particular neroli which act as a carrier molecule for the phero’s…

I’m not sure if adding a higher concentration of e.g neroli fragrance and thus more carrier molecules aids diffusion. I would assume so, but I have no experience or scientific facts to back it up with. I’d ask Tisha though, she’ll probably know…

If you do apply phero’s where you are hotter or sweat more you will diffuse quicker, but that also means you’ll have effects that last for alot shorter periods…similar to using phero’s in hot/humid weather or in the gym, oil versions work better there as they diffuse slower.

Chocolatini… I personally LOVE it, but I’m a girl…It doesn’t smell like cocoa or chocolate really, it does smell more like an actual chocolatini  Don’t quote me on this, but I believe Diamond is quite the fan…

oh ok, so the chocolatini doesnt sound like its for me lol. i guess i was sorta expecting similar to the axe dark temptation commercials oh well. but thanks for all the input, very useful and helpful.

I’ve always believed that Neroli has great diffusion properties because of its citrus base. I could be way off here and its just my opinion, but that’s what I think
