…“Even Without Symptoms, Genital Herpes Can Spread”
This afternoon I was tuned into NPR/Talk of the Nation and there was an interview with Dr. Peter Leone. I thought you might be interested in listening to it. Just a heads up for those who think they already know all there is to know about Herpes. If the subject matter offends you, I’m sorry, but it’s important to spread the love and not the Herpes. <3
Its always a good idea to get tested if you’re a slut like I am. I’m being serious too here folks. I get tested for HIV and STD’s at least once a year if not more. Most public health places do it for free or you can donate.
I used to do it every time I had skanked (sometimes ones a month, mostly less), but my last doctor asked a bunch of stupid questions like:
Me: Well I need to get tested, this guy was a total SLUT.
Doctor: Ohhhh, (looking at me sadly) and you didn’t know…?
Me: Ehh? Off course I knew, what do you think I was doing there…!?
And then she looked at me like I was crazy… That actually kept me away the last time (however it was a low risk case…), which is totally stupid because we get everything free in Denmark when it comes to our health
I really need to start using condoms, I’m just thinking with the skank-parts when I’m suppose to think rationally… At least my next doctor will just be told “hey, sometimes I have a lot of sex, if you judge I’ll find another doctor!”
I’m glad you’re going to find a new doctor, Taggle. Just because they have a degree hanging on the wall doesn’t mean they aren’t judgmental/ignorant/both. In any case, a good/competent/socially aware doctor wouldn’t look at you like you were crazy and/or make comments like that.
