ladies..... ur take on massages

massaging… harmless and affectionate rite?? cuddly and friendly…

yea well so much for that… i had a girl FLIP out on my while i was rubbing her bak…

ok first off… in sports… muscle massages… good… nothing gay bout them… they arnt weird… if u have a muscle cramp u have another guy massage ur leg… thats life… and it isnt awkward…

ok… being friendly when u know someone and giving them they good old shoulder pressure point… know that relax kinda message it gives… nothing gay bout that… boxers get it all the time rite?

ait… moving on to friendly shoulder pressure point rub to a guy is kinda weird but can be a sign of “i know u… relax” lol

now moving on to MALE to FEMALE rubs… a simple back massage… nothing around sensitive areas… just the back…nothing rough… just tender caring touch

obviously then u have the sexual sorta love massage… yay… lol not gonna go there… but everyone will agree… thats VERY different from the other types of massages…

so wat happened to me was… i had a simple of mix of MX203 and Ishine on… im sitting around with some friends and one of the girls puts her back against my chest… ok… relaxing for her…

so i simply start with the pressure point rub really soft and she kinda re-adjusts herself to be more comfortable… she is enjoying the relaxing feeling… i change my hand position on her shoulders and WHAM… she jumps away… like “WTF… ur raping me” lol

a friend sitting next to me had commented while i was rubbing that she was next as a joke… so people like the feeling… but is it really that uncomfortable or awkward to have a guy rub ur shoulders… i would love a girl to give me a massage… i dont mind… its relaxing… relaxes ur muscles…

but is it just that she was jumpy… it wasnt the mones i was wearing…wat caused this reaction…

can anyone speak on the behalf of disliking massages… i really wanna know

bond

Well, being “gay” is also “…aren’t weird” and “…isn’t awkward”. But alright. Digressing…

The only thing I don’t like about getting certain massages is

  1. It has to end eventually. And pay back is a bitch. Lets admit it, while giving a massage is rewarding and wonderful plus much much more!, it feels no where near as fantastic as getting one.

  2. If I don’t know the guy, yeah I would say that I would feel uncomfortable with a random dude rubbing my back. Of course, I don’t think all guys have ill intentions but, I will admit, it will cross my mind if I don’t know you so well.

3.It sucks when I have a knot and it hurts like almighty hell when they do press on the spot. Of course, I quickly learned that it helps to massage it but back in the day, it made me much more omg-wtf jumpy.

  1. Some girls are just more sensitive to different areas in their body. Especially if they aren’t use to having this “area” pushed, kneaded, and stroked. …. Hush.

  2. Especially pressure points.

to clarify… i do know the girl… i have for a while now… so thats not the issue

lol point taken… but u get the idea… socially accepted as masculine

bond

Maybe you meant " i change my hand position on her breasts*" :stuck_out_tongue: Easy enough mistake, right ?

lol… i wish

no i was shocked… i really just moved my hands down the center of her back and she shot up and look at me like i was crazy… i still dont understand… do u guys sometimes just feel awkward or something… i dont wanna make that mistake again

bond

That’s kind of like my friend. She HATES it when people touch her in certain areas, areas where you wouldn’t think would be that odd. It’s just how some people are, I guess.

I know I don’t dislike a nice massage, only if Im asking for it though. If some guy, know him or not, goes up to me and starts massaging me, I might feel a little agitated.

i havent known her to be like that… but maybe she is just really sensitive… idk

but its good to hear the feedback thx

bond

My guess is she had a “limit” to what she was comfortable with, and/or she is just sensitive in certain areas, it happens.

You know you didnt mean any harm, so you dont really need confirmation right?

Meh, everyone has their quirks.

im assuming so…wat else would have caused such a reaction… im just trying to get a feel of how common it is…

(and yes… i realize u must hate me for my grammar…so go ahead and tear me apart for it  lol tish has tried… but i think she has given up :stuck_out_tongue:)

bond

You totally made me snort coffee on my screen :stuck_out_tongue:

I hate being touched (except when asking for it. So i’d have jumped away w/a dirty look to anyone. Perhaps you touched a sensitive/ Atoo close for comfortA point of her back? Was it on the lower back?

Maybe there was just a certain point that she didn’t feel comfortable going past in front of other people? Just a thought…not that she wasn’t enjoying it, but that she enjoyed it too much, and in front of other people it made her feel uncomfortable/weird.

so we have a running total of 1 now…

but just to be clear…hypothetically: your the girl who just leaned bak onto my chest* would that be something u would do if u hate being touched?

square between the shoulder blades… really nowhere near any sensitive spot… but ok ill go along with maybe it made her uncomfortable to be touched there… im fine with that… its not like when we see each other now its awkward… were still friends… it just shocked her i guess… could be that she wasnt playing attention and feeling something warm on her bak just made her jump…

im not really up to asking her though

thats a valid point… its possible she got the wrong idea from my friendly gesture… possible not knowing the difference between sexual and friendly… good thinking

bond

Make that two…yeah, I’m in this camp too. If we’re familiar, I don’t mind an arm around my shoulders and perhaps a pat on my back but …rubbing? Um…no. No rubbing.

Leaning into your chest doesn’t involve hands.

I’m sensitive between my shoulder blades… If you touched me there I’d jump too. Don’t get any ideas.

Yes, you startled her, Mr. Hands.

Bella

No its intimate, all touch has a level of intimacy, a simple shoulder massage can be intimate touch. Its different when you hire someone or its there job like in sports therapy. She leans on your chest which is also a intimate action, she probably shouldn’t have unless she was open to touch but its my guess she has a level of comfort and trust around you and it was a friendly gesture. You escalated the intimacy with the shoulder rub and she probably did have a few moments of unconscious pleasure from and it was still mildly intimate but you were reciprocating her gesture so it was acceptable .

Ahhh Haaaa down the center of her back. You escalated and she snapped out of it. Any movement heading toward any private regions of the body is escalating. For example think of the difference between a women caressing your face. Its mildly intimate but can be friendly and harmless. Now she runs that same hand down your neck to your chest. OK now your more alert. She is escalating the intimacy.

or

A girl sitting next to your puts her hand on your knee for support. OK cool she is touching you but while its intimate its not overly so. But then she runs her hands from your knee up your thigh a little. Its escalating the intimacy

We communicate in many ways. Verbally which is obvious. Phenomonally which we all deal with here and with Body language.

Get it.

Tisha

i was just thinking
either she was enjoying it, and snapped herself out of it;

or

the direction the movement was going in,
the mind can move faster then the hand and if she was racing you down her back with her mind…

snap!

For me it depends on who, how and in what context.

If it is say, a woman in a sports-class giving me a shoulder rub, that is completely different from a man who seems to be attracted giving me a lower back massage on his sofa.

I’m a picky hugger, I have to like the way someone smells to be able to hug, and I’m also quite sensitive to hidden sexual intent.

Hmmm, could she have thought you were moving your hands down to unsnap her bra? Even if she knew better and it wasn’t something that you would do, if some past exerience(s) hit a nerve on some sub-conscious level, that could have triggered the response.

Just my 2 cents worth, but it just doesn’t sound to me like you did anything to make her feel uncomfortable or awkward, at least on a conscious level.

And I tend to think the neck and shoulder area to be a more suggestive/intimate area than the middle of the back. Now if it were the middle of the front! :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah there is definately not a right or worng way here,
evidenced by the diverse answers.

touch is so individual.

as someone who is touchy-feely,
i am not jumpy when i am touched.
i am massaged at work
and i dont think anyone there thinks anything sexxay about it.

the vibe i give off is that i am not offended by touch,
and the result
is that no one tries to touch me inappropriatly.

maybe thats LOA,too

for this reason i think the chick who might have over-reacted ( )
may have had feelings present,
where as if she didnt,
it may have gone uneventful.

just a perspective.

bond,

massages are very intimate, in most places of work they are considered taboo, too close to possible sexual harassment.

Ever watch Pulp Fiction? Check out the first scene, there’s an interesting interchange about massages.

got it

good thinking cowboy… thats wat i just thought of… but she had no comment to i think it was just a natural reaction of shock… could have been anything really

this was over at a friend apartment… relaxed environment just hanging out before a party nite… i would have to second guess myself if i was handing out free massages at work lol

ya know i would have thought of u as a rubber

thx again for all ur feedback guys

p.s: alright tish… come here if u must, ill give u that visual demonstration u were asking bout
