Do you tell people about your pheromone usage?

Being new here, I was curious whether or not you’d tell someone you’ve started dating that you used pheromones to help attract them. If not, have you ever felt less than honest because of it? Ever had any negative reaction if you have told? Just wondering. Thanks.

Nope, and I never will. I have tested the waters with “what if” and general discussions and the reactions were usually “I’d rip his wang off” or “dump that lying piece of crap” kind of thing. One even suggested a lawsuit was in order. Best to leave sleeping dogs lie…

Incidentally, I find pheromone amazingly effective at helping attract and initiate relationships. Once you’re fully in the fray, they’re of minor consequence. In other words, she gets used to it and the edge wears off.

The average person lacks a true understanding of how pheromones work (unless they’ve ventured into forums such as this one or LS). Most people view pheromones (if they buy into them at all) as direct manipulators of behavior…as in they will make someone act against their free-will. Under that context, I can certainly understand why people would take offense to the idea of pheromones. If pheromones really did work in this fashion, then I really would feel guilty for using them, and I would really question how people REALLY feel about me or why people react the way they do.

Most real users of pheromones will understand that pheromones are merely enhancers of social/sexual appeal. There needs to be a ‘real’ solid foundation behind pheromone effects, as they will not work if there is nothing there to enhance. Under that context, I understand that pheromones are merely enhancing me and my actions, and in the end people are drawn to and attracted to me and my actions, not the pheromones themselves.

If most people could effortlessly and quickly understand that, then I probably wouldn’t have a problem telling people. But I don’t think its something that can be fully understood without a decent amount of actual experience with pheromones.

pheremones should be used as tools… they dont make women come and talk to u. It only makes women more open and notice u. That is why i think they are not unethical. After all, phereomnes wont pick up the chicks for u, thats all ure doing.

wheather or not to tell ure mate just depends on how open u are in your relationship.. i personally would not because others might see u using pheros as a way to control them or something. But as Geogi said, pheros dont play a big part once a relationship has been started.. they help u start one but then its all u

I dunno..

If it were me, and I found out that my guy has been trying to do something about making our relationship hotter (which is what I am doing here, among other things, btw), I would be very impressed and give him kudos for being so creative etc. But that’s just me.. I go out of my way to research about craziest stuff.. I am on the fringe, like most people on this forum. The muggles out there are of course, different  and I can’t speak for every woman.

HM

ya mama ure opinion seems to me like a rare thing. Maybe we need some imput from some other women but it seems to me that if i told my gf that i was using pheros she would think she was being controlled and forced to like me or something

Seems like a catch-22 to me, dude!

yep… i feel bad not tellin but if i did i would feel worse… i’d probably be dumped lol

Well, you could tell her a vague truth. Let her know you use pheromones for communication, and try to avoid the sexual side of things. You can start a discussion that way to test out the waters. Maybe even ask her about pheromones before mentioning anything.

If you do tell her, make sure you explain that pheromones are like makeup or nice cloths. It still takes a person to create the connection. Pheromones just make things easier. (like the gas milage between the city and highway, or fishing with live bait as opposed to fake)

You could also explain that when people bath they wash off their natural pheormones and by using androtics products you are simply suplimenting.

If you want to go all out, find a way to apply pheromones to her without her knowledge and convincer her of their use by the results. That’s pretty deceptive and risky though. You would also need to buy some female products.

I’d tell a prospective partner, but I won’t get in a relationship unless it has the potential to go the distance. I’m not a one night stand kind of guy, and even dating I take the potential for long term into consideration.

Trouble with that is most women weren’t raised in a cave. They studied pheromones in biology class, observed insects and lower mammal behavior and pheromones on the Discovery Channel, saw pheromones depicted in movies and TV, etc. To the great unwashed pheromones spell involuntary S-E-X with a big red boner. We all know it ain’t so as Sigma eloquently and clearly described, but educating someone to the reality would not be easy nor fast. Won’t leave much time for dating or having fun…

Well, I told my wife, back when we were dating.

She married me anyway.

In general I don’t mention it to people though.

Thanks for all the insight. I know pheromones can’t affect someones free will, but in a way it seems like cheating. I am not the one night stand type, and its always hard to meet someone with whom a relationship “might go the distance”. When that occurs, just didn’t want to jepordize it by some perceived deception. I liked the analogy to a woman wearing perfume, makeup, ect. The fact that we produce them naturally, ourselves, also helps. I think for me, once dating only one person, I’ll tell them, if just for my peace of mind. Thanks again for the input.

I don’t go around telling everybody that I meet that I’m wearing cologne, or have a box of condoms on me. I don’t tell any of my girlfriends that I practice social interactions, or that I work out 4 times a week.

I don’t tell any girl I’m interested in that I lost 115 lbs so that I could meet more of them, so why should I tell them about pheromones?

Good question, but I don’t think there’s any moral dilemma at all.

To me it’s just like wearing a cologne, dressing up/well, etc. It’s all pretty much the same thing. Just another form of communication, “advertising,” enhancement.

You don’t go around bragging about how you showered that day (I hope… unless you are being humorous), or washed your hair, or put on a cologne/perfume.

Like was said, pheromones are just “enhancers” of what is already there. If asked, I suppose you could just call them your “magic potions.”

yeah, but the difference is those are natural pheromones. most people have heard something about natural pheromones if you ask them, but very few believe in the stuff we use. If lots of people were so quick to believe in it, don’t you think everyone would be using them and coming to sites like these?? i mean, if you knew there was stuff like this that really worked wouldn’t you want some? of course, and that’s why we’re here. but we actually believe that the stuff WORKS.

Not whether it works to enhance or whether it’s sexual or not…but that it even works to any degree. most people don’t believe that you can apply some artificial pheromone to your skin and get any results beyond a placebo. the reason these sites don’t have millions of customers is not because people don’t know they exist…but people don’t BELIEVE (at least imo)

I haven’t told an s.o. (because i don’t have anything beyond flings here and there at the moment), but i’ve told lots of people that I used pheromones. i mean, lots. I think if you guys actually told people you’d be surprised how many people DON’T believe a word of it. I’m usually taken seriously, and people believe everything I say, especially since i’m usually the most honest person around. still, when I told friends i was using pheromones a few stopped talking to me for a while. (although we’re cool now), and my family got seriously concerned and wanted to take me to a psychiatrist.

lol! ditto…I don’t usually go around telling people just for the heck of it though. i think it’s cool to have my little “secret” sometimes. if girls ask what cologne i’m wearing, I usually tease and make them guess. It’s usually more fun that way anyway. I’ve told one or two that i was wearing a “potion that makes girls horny,” and they just played along. they were more amused.

as for the OP, I don’t see a difference either way. i guess it depends on the relationship. I mean, if you’re trying to reignite a spark and heat things up, i think it would be a great idea to try them with your s.o. (although i have no personal experience with that scenario)

i also think hotMama made a great comment  …i gave you rep pts.

without prying too much, I’d say her dude has the upper hand in the relationship. and honestly, if you got the upperhand in your relationship, there’s little you can do wrong. by upperhand i mean, being more dominant, or leading. plus, if you’re with someone who’s positive and open-minded, you definitely can’t go wrong if you tell them.

with that said, if you’re not with someone who’s positive and open-minded and don’t have an upperhand (or at least equal respect and trust) in the relationship… then you may want to forget about the pheromones and rethink your relationship

by the way… there are situations where i definitely wouldn’t tell though.

for example, in a job environment! that’s where i could see myself being fired if anyone knew that i got the job because during the interview I was wearing some mood-enhancing chemicals…

or that i visit my professors office hours in school often times while wearing pheros, and usually get the grades that i request…

it’s hilarious too, because all the other people i know in the class complain about how much of a real bitch the professor is and how strict they are, etc. i go to office hours, get exactly what i was looking for and i can’t understand what they meant because the teacher was sooo nice, flexible, and so very lenient with my every request. i tell the other students, and they’re always perplexed at how nicely teachers treat me. hahaha, sheesh…life is easy sometimes. …and that’s when i definitely don’t tell anyone about my edge

I wish it was always a matter of believing they worked. A few people I know think it’s weird and they should be liked for who they are without pheromonal aid. There are also the people think it’s unethical, because other people have not choice but to subconciously react.

I was going to give you rep points, but I have to spread some love around.

I’ll send then your way when I can.

i think every case is generally different though and it also depends on the pheromone user themself. if u cant bear the thought of not telling then just for ure peace of mind, u should tell and if your relationship is strong enough, or the person u are courting is understanding, everything should go out well. But really, atilla, u need to make a decision ureself, knowing ure partner. Every1 here is just giving you advice based on their experiences but its ultimately u who is gonna face the concequenses of ure actions here.

Good luck on whatever u decide tho!

Hell No, all’s fair in love and war right? My logic is, divide and conquer, let the best arsenal win. If someone hasn’t done their homework and covered all their bases, then they will lose to my superior firepower. Just like Darwin said, Survival of the Fittest. Whoever is most prepared will be the most laid. So be it.

HeinzHummer

Getting laid and laid plenty is sort of a novelty at first! The more the merrier. Maybe even a status symbol for some guys. Eventually you’ll get over it. It’s a relief too. Leaves a lot of energy for more constructive pursuits.
