Does it, and if so, what pheromones?
Suppsosedly being on birth control affects a womans copulin production. But as a guy I don’t think effects felt by women are any different whether they’re on birth control or not…if that’s what you meant ![]()
BiffyFighters is correct. The pill prevents ovulation and the production of copulins in women. It also causes a decrease in libido in women which is one of the most frequent complaints about the pill. I know its ironic LOL
From my experience mones may be working but they dont get the female into a state or arousal or interest in sex as well as if they were not on the pill. It also depends greatly on which pill they are taking. Some are less damaging to the libido like Yasmin and some just stop it dead in its tracks.

Aight. That wasn’t so good, considering every damn girl i know is on the pill.
I had a similar discussion on this with regards to TUTH. Some gals will react MUCH better to IS for example…
Sorry, possibly not what you didn’t want to hear, it’s just that you have to then adjust the type of mones to your audience… ![]()
I have done a good amount of research and posted some theroys on this if you feel like reading through my journal. I would link the posts but im not smart enough(or just lazy) to figure out how to.
Since BC directly effects hormones it would effect every other resulting aspect, which includes phero production.
I was gonna point him to your journal cause thats where I first read about it. I have an interesting scenario right now that may be able to shed some light on this. My current girl was not on birth control and seemed highly excitable and just can’t seem to get it enough.
She just started the patch version (IDK what brand) So I am gonna see what types of differences this creates, maybe post it in my journal.
She seems not to care about my sig when aunt flo visits(1st time around with this since we have been with each other for a month only). I was surprised she has absolutely no noticeable change in attitude or acceptance of my use of -none. Good thing for me as I don’t have to worry about that aspect like some do ![]()
Well all is not lost LOL Keep in mind what I said about the type of BC they are taking. Women are aware of the drawbacks of the pill and I think a lot of the younger women are taking some of the newer brands like Yasmin. They say Yasmin has less of a effect on the libido then the older brands like Ortho Novum and Yasmin is very popular.

This doesn’t directly answer the original question but it provides some evidence that a women’s olfaction is affected by birth control:
Studies have shown that:
-
Women who are not pregnant and not on the pill prefer the body odors of men who are genetically dissimilar to them (trials done with blind dirty tshirt sniffing coupled with genotyping of major histocompatibility genes). This makes sense as it provides a mechanism to minimize inbreeding.
-
Women who are pregnant prefer the body odors of men who are genetically similar to them (perhaps adaptive as it encourages the pregnant woman to hang out with a trusted family group rather than strange men during an especially vulnerable time).
both of the above are possibly adaptive, especially in the context of earlier times in human history (think paleolithic hunter gatherer societies).
Here is where modern life screws everything up though, because a study also found that:
- Women who are on the pill prefer the body odors of men who are genetically similar to them.
The pill could very well be changing our evolutionary trajectory, not to mention screwing up the whole process by which people’s long-term relationships are based (much of our initial attraction to certain people is chemical in nature, though it is not a conscious process)
It seems possible and even probable that the pill changes pheromone responses. It just hasn’t been studied.
yes, it does. It not only changes, the response to pheromones, it changes the response to almost everything. It puts an extra plateau of hormones into the life cycle. Instead of regular and menstrating ( i know i’ll get bashed for over simplying it to 2 phases) there is a 3rd phase with the pill, psuedo-semi-PMS. The pill keeps certain hormones, progesterone is only 1 of them, at higher than regular levels, but not quite to PMS/Menses levels.
On a happier note, Instant Jerk and TUTH work like crazy just right before a womans period kicks in, they will say and do things that will leave them wondering about it the next day. It is great to take advantage of the upsides, while putting up with the garbage/putressance
of hormones that are caused/overdosed by “The Pill”. Of course, the upsides are there without the pill as well:o.
Pretty much, I think the devil himself invented “The Pill”
in order to see if he could create a P79 enhancer effect for PMS, and let it last all month long in some diminished way. Hoping that all the men on the planet would just shoot themselves in the head and find their way to hell just to escape. Thank goodness for sports and beef.
just a statistic. [Statistics: a way to lie with numbers]
Women on BCP are 1.68 times more likely to commit suicide.
I need to edit/restate this (above).
Progesterone does not go up during Menses (Period time, blood gush). In the days prior to Menses, Menses is shown as starting on day 0 of this graph on wikipedia (a very nice graph.) Progesterone is on the decline from day 22@40nmol/L and goes to day28/0@2-3nmols/L concentration. BCP can keep Progesterone levels from dropping down to normal levels.
Just to make things clear, very few female mammals actually menstruate. Most female mammals go through estrus/heat, which makes them receptive to male animals. Menstruation in humans is the shedding of the uterus lining, which is completely different from estrus. Dogs, horses, cats.. they do not menstruate or have periods. Cats in heat are typically overly affectionate and extremely vocal, but very rarely would you ever see one bleed. Cats go through what is called estrus, which is actually the complete opposite of a period. During estrus, or heat, a cat is receptive to male cats and may breed.
Do female cats have periods? - Yahoo! Answers
a study published the Oct. 27, 2007 issue of the research journal Evolution and Human Behavior shows when humans go into heat/estrus. Humans go into heat after all, strip club study finds
I wonder if Heat is a term that is used because of the 1 degree Celsius rise in body temperature that women experience when ovulation ocurs on day 14?
96.8C before, 98.6C after ovulation
the first 3 days after Ovulation are the most fertile. the Basal Body Temperature (BBT) rise can track the start of this. Generally BBT should hover around 97.2?F and 97.4?F. When you ovulate temperature will increase from half a degree to a full degree (often going above 98?F) and l remain elevated due to the extra production of progesterone. SELECT: CONTRACEPTIVE: Basal Body Temperature
BCP can raise BBT due to the Progesteron (Progestins), but the estrogen can modulate the effect, adding it’s own effect to the Progesterone, and so no definite answer on the BCP on BBT, there are so many mixes of BCP.

Here are the text book parts (for us guys, and maybe the girls who get surprised every month.)
Menstration (days 0 thru 5?)
Follicular Phase (days 5? thru 14?)
Ovulation (day 14?)
Luteal Phase (days 14 thru 28?)

All combination birth control pills contain estrogen (typically ethinyl estradiol, most pills contain <50mcg of ethinyl estradiol) and a progestin.
The term progestin is used for any natural or man-made substance that has properties similar to natural progesterone.
Progestational Effects:Progestational effects refer to how the progestin stimulates the progesterone receptors (thereby helping to prevent ovulation and to lessen menstrual bleeding). A similar term is progestational selectivity, which is the degree to which progestational effects are maximized and androgenic effects are minimized. Typically, the goal of a birth control pill is to achieve a high level of progestational selectivity.
Androgenic Effects: Androgenic effects refer to the likelihood that the progestin may cause unpleasant side effects. Progestins with higher androgenic activity may increase the chances of androgen-related side effects which mainly include acne and hirsutism (female unwanted hair growth).
Also, progestins with less androgenic activity tend to have little to no effect on carbohydrate metabolism, which is how the body breakdowns and synthesizes simple sugars into smaller units that can then be used by the body for energy.
Estrogenic Effects: Estrogenic activity has to do with ethinyl estradiol, the type of synthetic estrogen found in birth control pills. Higher number of micrograms of ethinyl estradiol lead to more potent estrogenic effects. A higher amount of estrogenic activity helps to decrease androgen-related side effects. However, progestins tend to counter some of the estrogenic effects of ethinyl estradiol.
Progestin ? Differences Between Progestin
Different Progestin Types ? Combination Birth Control Pills ? Progestins
8 different types of PROGESTINS used in BCP. They differer in their Progestational/Estrogenic/Androgenic effects from each other.
the androgenic effects are the ones that gave your girlfriend the mustache that she should wax more often. Different pills have different types of mustaches, the handlebar mustache is good, as it also promotes lovehandles.![]()
Norethindrone is a first-generation progestin of low progestational and slight estrogenic activity. It tends to be less androgenic than the second-generation progestins (levonorgestrel and norgestrel), but more androgenic than newer progestins, like desogestrel. It is available in monophasic, biphasic and triphasic formulations. In low doses (any pill containing less than 50mcg of ethinyl estradiol), which is what most pills contain, this progestin improves lipid profiles by raising HDL and lowering LDL.
Norethindrone acetate is a progestin of low progestational activity and slight estrogenic affects. It is a first-generation progestin. It tends to be less androgenic than the second-generation progestins, but more androgenic than newer progestins, like desogestrel.
Ethynodiol diacetate is a first-generation progestin of medium progestational activity, has minor estrogenic effects and little androgenic activity. Is a derivative of norethindrone, so it is easily converted to norethindrone within the body.
Levonorgestrel is a second-generation progestin and is the most widely prescribed contraceptive progestin worldwide. It has high progestational and androgenic effects. Levonorgestrel negatively affects serum lipoproteins.
Norgestrel is a mixture of dextro-norgestrel (inactive) and levonorgestrel (biologically active). High progestational and strong antiestrogen effects while also being high in androgenic activity. It may cause LDL cholesterol to be increased while allowing for HDL cholesterol to be lowered.
Desogestrel is a third-generation progestin with high progestational selectivity, minimizing androgenic effects and estrogenic activity. It shows less negative impact on metabolism, weight gain, acne, and other side effects typical of older progestins.
Norgestimate has high progestational activity while showing slight estrogenic effects and tends to be less androgenic, minimal effect on serum lipoproteins and carbohydrate metabolism. The low androgenic effects have resulted in successful treatment of acne. Birth control pills with norgestimate are the only ones FDA approved to reduce acne.
Drospirenone is the only progestin derived from 17a-spirolactoneis. It helps suppress the secretion of the hormones that regulate the body’s water and electrolytes. It also has low androgenic activity. Drospirenone and estrogen seem to lessen symptoms associated with mild PMS (increased appetite, negative mood, and water retention). May cause higher potassium levels, so women with kidney, liver, or adrenal disease should not use it.
My ex wife was on the pill the first 4 years of our marriage. When she went off the pill, Things went downhill fast, and well, now she’s my ex! Not saying that’s the only cause- but a very strong correlation!
yesterday i had an awesome day
there is this girl at work i know for 2 years now.
ever since i used pheros on her it was more off a hit or miss game
one day i would get good reactions, other days only a few or nothing.
yesterday was the first day i actually felt like she got hit by the pheros pretty hard! she was constantly trying to chat with me , touching me, we were havin a blast
now what i found interesting is that she mentioned that she just stopped taking the pill a few days ago. i really believe this had a lot to do with it
she even told me she felt like her hormones were taking over her body.
It would take a good month before her hormones are back to normal after the pill. Took me longer. So don’t get disappointed if you have a few more non responsive days before her moods are more steady.
Its interesting how you mention you had some good days and bad with her. Most BC pill packs change in the ratio of hormones in them each week of the cycle. So depending on which week pills she could have been using her behaviors and responses to the pheromones and you could change. This is probably why you had some good periods and some bad each month.

Just found this, and it is intriguing. Most girls I know, unaffected by my mone us for the most part, are on the pill.
In this case, what should a guy layer on for an advantageous reaction? Plenty of socials? IH to connect?
Havn’t spent much time on a farm huh ?? LOL Animals dont menstruate monthly like humans but they do bleed when they go into heat. I have seen it hundreds of times and frankly its quite nasty. Granted its not the same as a human period which tend to be heavier but most animals only have a handful of fertile times a year where as humans have fertile times every month.
Yes the socials will help. I also suggest TAC and A1
