Favorite Westerns

this will go down as one of my alltime favorites. i thought it was like shakespeare in that it took a while to understand the way the characters spoke. i was constantly hitting the rewind button trying to figure out what was said.

others i have seen recently that i forgot how good they were: unforgiven, tombstone.

All great films. I love all the films he made with Maureen O’Hara. She could really stand up to him well. I like all of the Howard Hawks films with Duke (Red River, El Dorado, Rio Lobo and Rio Bravo), though El Dorado and Rio Bravo are essentially the same movie.

All of the John Ford stuff. 3 Godfathers is also a great one, if you’ve never seen it. It’s a bit more obscure John Ford picture.

You’re an Italian woman, of course you should love Spaghetti Westerns. :slight_smile:

LOL!

Hey, I’m completely straight and I like Cher. That’s even stranger! (OK, now I’m peacocking!)

I’m a big Peter Bogdonovich fan.

You ever see Walk On The Wild Side? I’m not asking if you lived it! :smiley:

I think that was “20 Mule Team Borax…”

I am not a real big fan of westerns, however one of my all time favorite movies is tombstone, I thought that was an awesome effort by, everyone in the film.
It is a movie I will watch over and over :cool: “I’m your huckleberry pick me” “your a daisy if ya do” I want to be Doc holiday when I grow up, even if I have to die slow and painful, Val Kilmer, played Doc so well IMO.

Hear hear.

My favorites;

Unforgiven

Good, Bad, and the Ugly

Open Range

Firefly series (ok, I’m cheating. Thats a space western. Still very cool!)
