posted this on the male forum but got no response so i Hope you ladies can help me out! As of recently I have come out a long term relationship and have been thrust back into the world of dating. long story short the past few women i have been entertaining have done a peculiar thing to me. it seems all of them at some point during the nights when we hit it off do this. I will get up to go to the restroom or get a drink or something and when i return they are laying on there sides with there legs on top one another and there rear facing me. I assume it is a positive sign but it seems to be happening too frequently to be an isolated incident. Any insight as to the meaning of this would be awesome.

I’m having a hard time picturing what you are describing. What sort of situation are the two of you in? At a bar? In a restaurant? At your house? On a barstool? Couch? How can their rear be facing you, are they twisted around so they can still look at you?
Basically the setting is with close friends. we will be sitting next to one another then when i return they will be laying on there side basically, on one arm. on the floor or on a couch.
So you are in somebody’s house? And they have turned away so that they are no longer facing you?
no they still look at me over there shoulder lol, and they will return to the sitting position soon after i return. it seems as if they want me to see them laying like this? puzzling
And you say you were definitely connecting and hitting it off well with them by this point? Then my thought is that they are into you, and they want you to check out their body. What other signals were you getting from them? Any specific ioi or flirting? And what about afterwards, did they try to keep in contact with you?
playing with hair and necklaces as well as keeping conversation going for long periods. yes these women text me pretty frequintly and i have dated them. also alot of lip touching as well as neck touching and more often than not they are touching me indirectly for extended periods I.E. legs touching mine, resting on me and such. didnt know if this behavior specifically ment something besides other indicators
Other indicators help to prove that this behavior is positive. It sounds to me like they are trying to show off their body to you.
I was thinking something along that line. thank you for your input! it helps to bounce these ideas off someone else, getting back into dating isnt the easiest after a few years

When someone turns their back towards you totally it means they do not want to interact with you even if they just quickly glance back. If the person does more then glance back… holds the look, makes eye contact, smiles, turn body partially back towards you, then they want you to pursue or chase them. Its a form of playing hard to get.

But, you did get the right answers elsewhere but not like what you heard. Man to man. If a woman likes you she will let you know and if you are shy she will try harder. Games are fun but if your heart is in deep then you are the victim .
