I just started hanging out with a girl in her early 20s that isn’t into the “player, show off” types. Everyone comes off as a player to her. She is still wary of me since she hardly knows me. Now, I’ve read many threads on what to wear to give off that alpha vibe. But what to wear around a girl like this?
btw, I know I have to let her get comfortable with me still. I’m just wondering what to wear while doing so.
It’s nice that you have the advantage of knowing the type of guy she doesn’t like. Comfort/feeling safe is everything, especially with a girl like this. To start I’d go with Instant Shine and Instant Openness. If you really like her take your time, that will immediately set you apart from the AFC’s she’s used to. If she’s interested, she’ll give you IOI’s when she’s ready.
Although a word of caution…it’s great to find a guy who’s empathetic and understanding but don’t be too much of a comfort to her. Ya don’t wanna find yourself in the best bud zone.
Work on getting her relaxed and laughing. Do stuff with her that shows what a fun guy you are and that divulges you have more meaningful pursuits in life than just scoring.
When you feel the time is right to escalate things you could try a spray of AMMO. While it has a definite sexual vibe it’s socially well buffered. Stiil, just be sure not to over do it if she’s not into aggressive types. Younger women have a tendency to be more sensitive to products containing Androstenone. Unless the young lady is very comfortable with her sexuality/experienced then it might be just fine.
Who says that "player or “show off” types are inherently alpha? IME they can often be decidedly beta, despite or maybe even because of the front.
There are a whole load of other ways to project status that don’t involve getting in your subject’s face.
Also, it has to be said that in many situations, what a girl says she likes or dislikes can turn out to be very very different to what she actually responds positively to. Actions, not words etc..
For the most part, I’d have to say players are not real alphas. There is a huge difference between style and substance. True alphas are men of quality and character, they don’t seek attention, but they get it anyway. Players are playing, literally, a numbers game. This is what most younger and socially inexperienced males don’t get. Being a player is all about knowing how to shrug off a rejection and keep going until you find one who takes the bait.
“Player” does not equal “Alpha” - Not to mention, ladies lie ALL THE TIME about the kind of guy they say they like (How many times have you heard a girl say she wishes she could meet a nice guy as she hops onto the back of yet another tattooed bad boys motorcycle)
The best popular examples of real alpha I can think of all exhibit the follow characteristics - Quiet confidence (alphas don’t boast, you can just feel the confidence in their aura), Indifference to others opinions of themselves (alphas don’t look for validation) and, relatedly, the ability to show vulnerability (because they are so confident that they aren’t afraid to be vulnerable)
Think James Bond - He isn’t ever boasting about how he took out X many bad guys, when a girl says she doesn’t like him it doesn’t phase him in the least, he has a BIG personality but he doesn’t impose that personality on those around him (he doesn’t need to show how big his personality is… it just is that big) and oftentimes once he has the girl he is portrayed as allowing her to see his minor insecurities (he isn’t afraid of showing weakness because he is confident in his strength)
Sounds like he’s confused as to what an ALPHA and a SHOW OFF is. I’d guess she REALLY means SHOW OFFS/EGO MANIACS, which makes sense; and she has her guard up, and everybody’s a player by her.
Thanks for the great advice/info guys/gals. I see what you are saying about alphas and agressives. I just don’t want to give off the vibe of a try hard. I usually wear Ammo and IS when I leave the house. I was think of using a combination of IO, IS, and IH in this situation. Would love to hear what you veterans think.
I like the idea of using IH around this person. Don’t combine the effect with IO though. Use them at different times. Shift between the soft focus romantic IO and the hi def sharp focused closeness of IH. I know you see a lot of crazed mixing going on around here. It’s easy to think that adding a dash of this and a dash of that makes things better. Think of it this way, if Ishine is blue and adding IO (let’s call it purple) steers it to a shade of violet or adding IH (green) turns it to aquamarine, maybe adding both just dulls it to a dirty biege. It’s not a perfect analogy as IO and IH both different mixtures of the same two pigments but I hope you understand my point. shifting between the two can get the effect of both without dulling either one.
I would rate IO & IS or IS & IH over all three together.
Personally I found that sends an overcomplicated message. Less is more Where IO is concerned and of the three, IH is most suitable for alpha behaviour to me - the “man of my word” impression if you like.
