I went over and ran through my old reports and personal notes and did some more testing of MX297 to double check something about what Steve said and what other users have been seemingly noticing more and more, and these are my findings.
I get where he’s coming from but I think users might have took it a bit out of context or too literal. I know he doesn’t like it and it could be because of the effects it has. The overtly social and likeable vibe that most of us liked about MX297, I believe was because most of the time we equate those hits with being effective and desireable. I’ve read a bunch of reports from people with varying degrees of social comfort level. Long story short, the ones who already are more alpha than others have had a better time with this due to their personlities. More of the gentler and soft spoken members who used it didn’t seem to get the same results as the other guys. This led me to believe that it could help the social aspect of an alpha’s “intimidation” factor from more women, but could hinder the alpha approach of someone who’s working at it.
I remember an experience with it vividly when I was so iritated that I was defending myself in front of my close friends about something so trivial. I was so mad that they would question what I said that I errupted in pure rage. When I was newer here I believed that there could have been a nol in there and some buffered -none that wore off and converted because of the way I was reacting (total approx 5 sprays throughout the entire night).
Another point taken was my own experiences with it when eliminating MX297 and replacing it with A314 and other putatives/Instant that I’ve used in conjunction with MX297 and actually closing the deal for the latter mix. I wouldn’t say that MX297 is completely beta, and it has its place (work) and in non-threatening environments like family events and social gatherings where you don’t need to completely assert yourself and is just there to be fun and likeable. Also being that fun and likeable guy is great, but you have no tension there.
MX297 is that fun guy everyone loves…
But is the best friend.
It’s still one of the better social MX’s out there IMO but it depends on the user and what you add to it that can turn it into the direction where it wants to go. It could be a viable buffer for those with very sensitive -none tolerance and are alpha enough to keep their composure and masculinity when out and about.
Interesting concept and I’ve actually said something similar myself. I worked hard to get to this level that to then and become congruent with what is deemed by me to not be ALPHA would be setting myself back in progress. I don’t believe (actually I’m quite certain) this is not just strong ALPHA’s who have been getting the best results. Actually the trend has been guys who are very shy, and those who get stuck in the friend zone often because of those types of traits, are garnering the results consistent with the trend. I can certainly understand your theory though, that natural ALPHA’s would be able to pull it off easier.
However this is not a sexual formula IMHO. I do not recall anyone posting this has turned to sex, unless some steering molecules were used with it. I still say that its P91. Again I challenge anyone to take some P91 and tell me the difference . I couldn’t tell them apart.
When I say beta, I think that’s where the confusion comes in for many. I guess I can be brash about my view on beta and by my own accord it is skewed. I always found myself in that friend zone, that social guy everybody loved and yet if so loved why always so alone. Most guys intermingle sex and love although now I understand they are so different. I love puppies but I want to F*ck your sister, if she’s hot! Beta is a four letter word for me and it took a lot to overcome it. Sure, it has its place and some have to be beta otherwise no one would be ALPHA. When I was beta I did whatever I could to be loved and worked hard at appeasing people. If I heard someone didn’t like me I would set out to change that persons feelings towards me. Now I just don’t give a shit and actually for anyone to be in my circle they have to earn that position. Just because beta is a curse word for me, if it suits you than wear it well. I don’t like MX297 because I’m not looking to be liked by everyone. I’d rather be me and you either like me or you don’t.
Yeah same here! Though I don’t mind when people are uber nice to me 4 no reason lol. It beats having beef with people. When I was first testing mx297 solo I ended up talking the whole night with this really hot blond chick (9.5/10) at a party who is my friend at school though we don’t chill outside of school. We talked for hours and had shots/ripped bowls in between and there was nothing sexual about it. I didn’t try anything since she’d been dating one of my buds for 2 years and eventually linked arms with her and we went around looking for a girl that I could pick up (MADDDDDDD social proof!!).
You have a better understanding of social dynamics and subtle reactions that I do. I know you wouldn’t have been offended by this regardless but I hope this post didn’t come across as that way. I just got really interested in the whole MX297 feel again once I started on using more putatives.
I’ve just seen some posts of people feeling it can’t have a place because of the beta ness and like all other molecules out there, like TAL and TAH, and even with JosieW testing out Instant Sexiness, I believe it can have a good component to it to a certain extent.
I was going to give my shy friend some MX297 to increase some confidence and get myself some “social proof” - I read that friends of MX297 wearer gets more welcome in sexual advances - but all my Mx297 leaked
So, I gave him some A314 and IJ instead, and I guess it didn’t turn out that bad for him

Last few nights i was wearing 297 were some seriously fun and crazy nights where i had the fun party guy vibe and did have a lot of attention from woman but i never closed the deal with any of them. I think you got it right when you say its the fun guy everybody loves…as a friend. Had been planning on wearing this on new years but i may have to re-think that.
I have A314, IS, IO, TUTH, Ammo and some togos of A213.a & A2131.b. Was about to buy another 297 but this really got me thinking, i mean every time i wear 297 it seems like the night turns into a crazy adventure but it never really worked out with the girls. Im wondering if just adding tuth would be a quick fix. Last time i wore it i was wearing 297 and IH and actually made friends with a few girls, but also got called an a** hole by a group of others. I think that may have been my game at that point though(wouldnt buy them drinks, challenged them, etc).

thats what i’m trying to figure out since i havent yest tested with ammor or tuth. I’m not saying you cant close the deal, actually think i was wearing 297 a few weeks ago when i met and took to bed a pretty hot 22 year old. Ive just noticed that the last few times ive worn it i had a fun filled crazy nights but with no end game. Girls do tend to love the scent though, the other night i got a few “axe effects” where girls begged me to tell them what i was wearing.
I’ve always used A314(2) + AMMO (2) + IS(4) and it’s worked wonderfully well for me. It’s a staple mix for me that I always go to when I need a quick on the go and proven mix.
I wouldn’t say it’s quite ineffective. There was a user in here who used MX297 with AMMO and had blatant IOI’s. I don’t think he ever closed though, but that’s not to say you can’t.
Just in my personal experiences, I like A314 and AMMO better than MX297 for a more attractive mix.
i wish i liked ammo more. for me it just smells like strong detergent and i get paranoid about it which makes me incongruent so i dont normally wear it.
went out the last two nights testing MX297 and the results have been really interesting. I noticed that i can get conversation going really quickly but soon i would find myself getting shit tested like crazy and the girls seemed to take on a really hostile attitude. This seems pretty consistent with Steve’s idea that it is way too beta. Usually i can get a fun playful, flirty vibe going pretty quick but it seems like every time i wear 297 the vibe goes from fun to antagonistic way too quick!
So that leaves the question, what is the appropriate setting for 297?
its just odd the way it works. Like at first you think, wow this stuff is incredible because every night i wear it out becomes a crazy night meeting all sorts of people. At the end of the day though when i look back, yes they were fun crazy nights but the quality of each interaction was pretty poor. Just that there was a ton of interaction so on the surface it seems like it was successfull but in reality not so much.
Think i will give your a314, ammo, is a go. Does ammo smell like detergent to you? It might be just me but it seems really over powering.
