I know we talk about pheros here, but I was wondering if anyone could recommond any good aftershaves and deodorants that turn heads just like pheromone products do?? Thank u, i would appreciate your advice.
Aramis aftershave has always been my scent of choice. As far as deodorant goes, I just grab whatever is on special. None of it really works for me anyway.
My wife loves Aramis while my girlfriend hates it so go figure
I have always had good comments from women while wearing Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male as well as Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne. But it depends on personal preference, you can not please everyone with your choice in scent.
I swear by using bergamot oil as a natural deodorant. It smells like a cross between Orange Peel and Earl Grey Tea. Aveda carries it, but the scent fades quick (even though it keeps working throughout the day). You can get stronger stuff online, just make sure its in a carrier oil or is listed as Bergaptene Free (if its not, it can temporarily dye your skin). Just use a few drops under each arm, spread across the forearms. Women love the way it smells. I apply it once, and I work in a fast paced job that causes me to sweat a lot, but it keeps working. Since all you need is a few drops, a bottle lasts a very long time.
Basically, the more natural the deodorant is, the better. Most deodorant only covers body odor instead of eliminating it. And most deodorant doesn’t smell too great. Unless its made by a perfumer. I had an Aqua Di Gio Deodorant that smelled great, unfortunately it only covered my body odor, instead of getting rid of it. Bergamot oil actually gets rid of body odor and helps you produce natural odorless sweat.
I would stay away from antiperspirants. They prevent you from sweating, and your body needs to sweat. and needs to produce its natural pheromones and scent. People have gone to the hospital from clogged sweat glands. If you sweat a lot, I would suggest layering the bergamot oil with a deodorant crystal, which you can get in the deodorant section of any grocery store.
If you want a good natural aftershave I recommend bay rum. It has a great scent and it naturally cools and refreshes your skin. There are different good ones, but one of my favorite it the Bois D’Inde Caribbean Bay Rum. It isn’t as strong as most bay rums so it isn’t offensive at all, but the scent is great (quite boozy) and it is the best aftershave I have used for my skin. The only other great aftereshaves are usually creams which leave a feeling of stickyness and a shiny face, so Bay Rum is still my favorite. Think of how a pirate would smell if he was incredibly clean and wealthy.
Hey guys how about trying something thats simple, readily available, and yet profoundly powerful. What I’m talking about here is not using any gel, solid, and or roll-on deodorants at all.
Just try eating pleasant smelling fruit and veggies, then just spray your favorite fragrance under your arms. That way your natural body pheromones can add life-force to your fragrance. I’ve come to conclude that todays deodorants simply block or impede the natural flow of sweat under the arms and at best creates a “bland” smell and at worst the chemicals show fort their stink. I’ve noticed that when I spray whatever cologne I’ve decided to wear, under my arms the smells becomes more active as my natural musk mixes with the cologne. I believe the opposite sex really wants to smell the best of the other sexes true self, but with just a little ting of artful fragrance.![]()
Armani provides luxurious, fruity fragrance b aftershave lotions. The aftershave lotion from Armani possesses a melange of citrusy lemons, oranges and bergamot. The ultra-hydrating fluid leaves skin soft, fresh and comfortable while giving it deep moisture. The strong masculine fragrance with the strength of cedar and vetiver gives more confidence and charisma.
Although this was a necrobump from a spambot, I feel compelled to add that I prefer to use salt sprays to inhibit the growth of sweat eating bacteria that lead to BO.
I use a natural spray I get at Whole Foods although the name escapes me.
For aftershave I get a special one from a barber club I belong to, but I sometimes use bay rum (You can get this at most drug stores)
