Good Program to Save DVD Movies?

I want to save some DVD’s to my computer, anyone have a suggestion on software that does this?

DVD Copy Software Review 2007

according to this dvd cloner IV seems to be the way to go.

nahh those websites are just paid to advertise, they arent real reviews. i personally like nero but that might be a tad too pricey

You know, I have nero 7 premium and it’s a great set of programs. (cough…hacked version…cough)

I haven’t used the dvd funtions yet.

Good timing…I’m looking for something, too. Only I’m on a Mac, which probably complicates things.

iDVD, comes built in!

if you want to burn backup copies, i’ve been using dvdshrink. to rip them to your hard drive, look for dvd decryptor.

Go to Doom9 for lots of guides, progs, etc on the topic..

For archival purposes (which is I’m sure what you have in mind, right?) I suggest SlySoft AnyDVD. It provides all the decryption etc for you. You can pretty much do anything with them at that point. Alcohol-Soft has a great copying program but you can just use ifoedit and rip the sections you want and toss it into a VIDEO_TS folder and burn that (after pushing get vts sectors) using something even as simple as mkisofs…

While we are kinda on the subject, I’m trying to find a way to copy off just the soundtracks on some DVD’s. Trying to get some of the music cuts. Usually can’t find a “soundtrack” CD for them as they often don’t exist. Don’t tell me I have to use the old microphone trick… ewwwwwww.

ive never heard of something like that… just look up on google how to copy the sound from the dvd. ure probably gonna have 2 do that then cut the pieces of sound u want
