Does anyone know a good website to download music from? I heard “Tarzan Boy” earlier this evening and NEED to download it asap. Any help greatly appreciated; I have not downloaded music since Napster’s hey-day.

I use Rhapsody. It’s like $25 per month, and everything I WANT is on it. (yeah yeah, you college boys can probably drum up like, 10000000 torrent sites to get all that stuff for free, but I just enjoy things more when I pay for them.)
Tarzan Boy, jeez. Did someone watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately?
Along with Boy Meets Girl’s “Waiting for a Star to Fall” and Billy Ocean’s “Get Outta My Dreams Get Into My Car” it has to be one of my three favourite songs of the 1980s.
Yes I know I’m cheesy - I once called a local radio station and requested “The Locomotion” from Kylie Minogue. And I was sober at the time!
Matt
PS: Please don’t make a recommendation of Mystery Boy, as my next purchase based on this post.
Tarzan Boy…?
HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Poor, dead Baltimora. The one-hit wonder who turned the UK and Europop music scene to mush - overnight. Died tragically, too… WORST music video in history!
I was working in a nightclub at weekends when that song first came out (so I reckon to being 19 going on 20 (18 is legal drinking age here), and it was a smash.
It’s on every 80’s compilation available, and still gets people on the dance floor in their droves, over here.
I may just go and put it on in fact before I sleep.. ![]()
Ail ![]()
Play it real loud so I can hear it here in Cape Town ![]()

This is the best way to download. I get just about everything I want (music/dvd copies/pre release movies and games/aplications/TV shows?EVERYTHING) at a constant 1000kbs Yes 1000, and never have a problem with a valid source or uploading or peer to peer crap. straight downloading.
ok… Go to Newsgroups: Giganews USENET News Servers then buy service. save your user name and password.
Go to newsleecher.com buy the program ( 20 bucks when I bought it)and get a supersearch subscription. (it’s like 10 bucks for 3-4 months)
Once you have registered and submitted your licence key, click on the manager tab. Add a new connection, and enter you’re gignews username and password.
If you want get a subscription to Newzbin - Usenet Search (realy realy cheap. almost insignificant) Go for it. It organizes newsgroup information into catagories with a helpful search, browsing, ect. You can replace the supersearch subscription with this, but I don’t recomend it. I recomend both.
download winrar and use the trial version to unpack the hacked full version you downloaded with your new program. Most every large newsgroup file is in .rar format.
WinRAR download and support. WinRAR is a powerful Windows tool to compress and decompress zip, rar and many other formats: Homepage
Oh you will need to download NFO pad to read the .nzb files giving the instruction/licence keys/ect for using hacked programs.
Defacto2 - NFO Pad 1.0 : Download
You may want to get a program like virtual deamon to play Image files of DVD’s It’s a virtual CD/dvd rom drive. If you don’t want to do this, you can burn the image files (.cue and the like) to a disk and have the same operation as a DVD you bought from walmart. All produced dvd’s are image files. Nero does a great job as a burning program. Download a hacked version. It’s great.
THE DAEMONS HOME
lol toil you just reminded me of one of my favorite coworkers.
or you could avoid all that and steal the blasted song, after all the guy is dead.
Emule
You make it sound so easy Toil ![]()
Jas they don’t take people from outside the US on Rhapsody. Although it looks very very good.
Bring back Napster!
O well, Musica it is, the old fashioned way. I hope they have the song on one of the 80s compilations. Considering all R120.00 will be for that one song! Let’s see…

Thanks for the help guys.
Matt
Eh? How so? I’m not a computer nerd if that is your implication
If you implying that I am charming, sexy, and irresistable, then Yes i’m exactly like your favorite coworker.![]()
I swear, it’s easy. It take about 60 bucks to start up, and 30 minutes to an hour to figure everything out, but afterwords it’s so user friendly. The only complicated part is when you are trying to mess with copied DVD’s as there are so many formats. If you don’t know what a file type is all you have to do is search “.— file” on google and your answers will litteraly jump out of the computer and play poker on your nose. I swear it will happen. Sometimes they decide to dance a jig, or thow a keger, but mostly poker. You learn quick or your nose gets sore.
hehe, i’m crazy I know.
well he’s the ubernerd - and what you said about downloading, sounds exactly like an answer he once gave me when I asked him about ripping some MP3s. don’t even get him started on jerryrigging Windows media Center to act like TIVO. I have dubbed his rig the Jolly Roger.
but back to you - of course you’re charming and sexy and irresistable toil. i don’t know how i keep myself at bay around your posts. ![]()
That guy is WAY WAY WAY out of my leage. Tivo/windows/what?
I better watch out. Make sure there is always a computer between us. I don’t want to get jumped ![]()
don’t let it go to your head now…
Yeah I created one of those a while back. I coupled it with free DIRECTV.
I’m diggin’ your taste in music, Matt-
You could grab a subscription to Napster and then use an app like Tunebite to burn the protected WMA to a more permanent MP3 file.
Or use a soft/service like UseNext to pull the file high speed from newsgroups. There’s bound to be hits for most of that stuff. With UseNext, you can get 10GB for about 10 bucks… and it’ll max out your 'net connection.
I have a 10mbps line and it FLIES on high speed vs. Napster’s limited 90kb/s download.
limewire. period.
Limewire is great for music, but there’s a lot of junk on Limewire. For the rest of my downloads I’ll use Azureus, mIRC or Rapidshare
If you are going to use Limewire be sure to use an IP scrub. The RIAA loves Limewire and without the IP scrub you are sure to get a nice $10000 fine.
lol really? i need to watch out for that then. thanks for the warning
