Hey folks, I uploaded my music collection to my server, mainly for my little cutie in Brazil, but thought I’d share with any of my pherotalk friends that might wanna listen or download them too.
Click any song and it’ll open in your default music player. If you wanna download instead, just right click the song and select “Save Target As” then download to your music folder or wherevver you want to put it.
There’s around 5,500 songs and a little bit of everything, except Rap, cause that ain’t my style!
I get 1,500 Gbytes a month, and the whole music collection is less than 10 Gbytes. And, I’ve got a 100 Mbyte/sec connection, so unless everybody started listening to or downloading every singe song or my websites started getting tons of traffic, I’m probably ok.
Plus, if I started seeing bandwidth usage skyrocketing, I could always password protect the directory and only give it out to my freinds.
There’s lots of stuff that’s pretty hard to come by and songs by one hit wonders from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and short lived artists too.
And how about even some REALLY hard to come by stuff, like the Boston Acetate Demos, which were recorded in Tom Scholz basement?
The quality is horrible, but that’s because when the songs were digitized they were copied from cassette tapes that were 20+ years old and had already been duplicated many times.
Nope, I really don’t listen to the radio much at all. I do have 103.7 as a preset on my car radio, but I’ve also got 93.3 The Bone, 102.1 The Edge, 102.9, 99.5 The Wolf and 96.3 too. I listen to pretty much everything.
How would Pherotalk get nailed it isn’t even on their server.
Also, Mark won’t get nailed either as this was merely the industry trying to set an example with one person. Keep in mind, this is the first time a lawsuit like this against an individual has actually gone to trial in federal court.
