Has anyone tried using the oils in a plug in burner? I want to make some soy burner cubes and try the oils in them and melt them in my home or at the office to see what the affects will be - without telling anyone what I am doing.
Soy is great too because you can take the soft melted soy and rub it into your skin and it is healthy.
There was actually a thread about this a long time ago, and they tried offering them in the store but no one bought them so they discontinued them. That thread is here:
I’ve been wanting to try this, but I would also need to buy some more pheromones, not to mention the actual burner. I believe Tisha and some others do this. Just replace some of the oil with pheromones. Probably not recommended with Turn Up the Heat, though.
The altered oust fan that was in the store didn’t use higher heat as a diffusion method though. At higher temps I would think the pheromones would be damaged so mixed in with wax might not be a good idea. Besides that if you’re adding a liquid to melted wax it causes the wax to boil and bubble in a tart warmer.
A few ways to phero bomb a room would be a cloth or napkin saturated and used over an air vent I’ve done that at home. An essential oil fan which is similar to an oust fan and comes with small cotton pads to put the essential oils on to. Or just spraying different areas of the room like a cloth backed chair but you’re not going to get the greatest diffusion that way.
I am not using an actual tart burner - they are too hot. I would use a small plug in device with a very small light…when I make soy candles the burner melting temp is much lower than wax…and what is great about the soy is it stays fairly soft and I can mold it in my hand even after it has cooled down which is when I would add the oils…if I can get what I want in oils. I will give it a try and document my findings —the scientist part of me, I document everything (smile).
