This has been going on since I got my second bottle two months ago. It wasn’t as big of an issue with the first bottle but it did happen occasionally. No matter how careful I am with the bottle, it tends to dispense a big glob or two drops right after one another more than half the time. I’ve ended up with a lot of product doing down the drain because of this. I was keeping it in my car until recently with the weather getting hotter and I’m going to try keeping it in the fridge from now on. My theory is that if I keep it cooler the oil will get a little thicker and will hopefully dispense properly. Anyone else ever have to deal with this?
I always try to turn the bottle back right side up just before the drop comes out. Once the first drop has formed the second is usually right behind it. Or I’ll touch the drop to my finger just before it drops out. Timing is everything.
Turn the dropper so the vent tube is always at the highest point when you drop.
Also use the corner of a tissue to clear any accumulated oil out of the rebate, this can aggravate vent problems.
I keep mine in the frige. Drops are more regular and slow enough to catch if they start accumulating on the edge. Storing in cooler places probably helps keep the oil a bit longer. True for all natural oil. Something to consider if you stock up massive amounts
I have cleaned it with tissue, made sure there was no residue or an air bubble on the center tube and then turned it directly upside down… quickly, and it has still behaved this way. Let’s hope the fridge does the trick!
