Although a couple of you already mentioned that I probably don’t have shyness issues…it’s actually the opposite. I have no idea why I have them, but I just do. It seems after I initiate a conversation with a girl, that I’m GOLDEN, but it’s just getting past the first opening. I’m a nice looking guy (not being cocky or anything), and I’m in fantastic shape (I’m required to be), but for some reason I’ve struggled with this ever since I left high school.
Once I left the comfort of high school and was in college, I had to completely form a brand new set of friends, and I could no longer rely on my social circle to meet girls. I just had to cold approach them. This was just hard for me…and still somewhat is. I have no problem doing it after a few cold ones, but I hate relying on that:/

After opening a group of girls, I generally do very, very well. Once getting past that opening, I’m confident, funny, and seem to know the right buttons to push. At times I might come across a bit arrogant, but I always find a way to tone it down and smooth things out
One other problem I have, it seems when I open a girl I’ve seen several times (a crush lol)…I’m still a bit shy and not so confident. I have a bad habit of building her up in my mind before I’ve even officially met her, and it makes me uneasy.
