Hi there

Hello, My name is Kimba111, I’m here to find out about the science behind pheromones. I’m 23 years old. I live in Massachusetts, and I enjoy art, and computers.
One question I had is how this perfume is made. Is it possible to optimize the potency of pheromones using the same methods of traditional perfume. Many use alcohol or vodka.
If anyone as information, I’d love to hear from you.

Hi, and welcome to the forum, Kimba! I have no idea why, but it appears your post was overlooked, unless you had another introductory post that was answered and this one was just ignored. Anyway, there is a wealth of information on this forum, and much research, both formal and amateur. You might check out the Studies and Abstracts or the Pheromone Theory sections of the forum. There might be an answer to your question there. If not, and if no one answers soon, you might try asking the question in a separate thread in the Men’s or Women’s section of the forum. Your question will be answered, I assure you. Sorry that I can’t really give you the right answer myself, but I don’t know much about perfumery.

By the way, do you intend to, or have you actually ordered any of Androtics products? What are your plans for them if you do purchase any?

Hi Kimba111. Welcome to the forum!

I know I’m slow, but can you please explain more about what exactly you’re asking? I was a little confused about your words “this perfume”. Androtics is not a perfumery…most of their products are alcohol-based but a few are oil based.

I’ll be awaiting your response.

While pheromones would not be considered a perfume (though you have the option for most mixes of having one of several very nice fragrances mixed with the pheromone mix), I believe the answer would be yes. The spray pheromones are suspended in a base of alcohol and other chemicals which aid the larger pheromone molecules in diffusing into the air and reaching others, much as the alcohol base in perfumes spreads the scent into the air around you. I’m not sure about the specifics of the chemicals involved, but I’m sure that information is readily found through the search function. As for the oil pheromones, there is still diffusion, but it occurs more slowly and over a longer period of time, which can be very good in the right situations, especially when you’re trying to slowly and subtly build an atmosphere or feeling.

Hello kimba111,

Great to have you here in Pherotalk  Welcome  Anyway it is good that you want to learn more info about the science behind pheros here

Btw what Vespero have said is right, do post your question in the Men Section as you will get your answers there  I myself don’t know much about perfumery sorry about that:o Btw pheros here(Androtics) is not considered a perfume

Anyway tell us what you hope to achieve by using pheros here like what kind of objectives/goals that you want so that we can help you in giving good recommendations there

Hey you, How did you sneak past me :open_mouth:

Welcome to Pherotalk

I am sorry you got skipped you should of PMed me and I would have been right in.

The pheromones here already come in a carrier in both the advanced section and the consumer section. To add more to them would just dilute them and make them less effective.

Now if you bought some mones in dry form then yes you need to use some sort of carrier like organic perfumers alcohol. Dry form is not sold here.

If you would like a GC to check out the products and such tel us a bit more about yourself, your personality and your objective for mones.

I look forward to hearing from you and promise to keep a eye out for you.

Tisha
