How does your rep power grow? I see some people with different amount of their own reps and different amount of posts, and I see no pattern of how the rep power gets bigger.. Could someone clear this up for me please?
I want to make my puny 1 a little more potent..

your rep points and the amount you post i think determines your rep #.
i could be wrong, but thats what i have noticed. do you know how to see which post you got rep points for?
in your user cp?
1 point after several begining posts as new members start of with 0 point and after 5 post or so, they get 1 point.
1 point for every 300 posts
1 point for every year
1 point for every 100 rep points pluss an extra rep box

Yeah, my rep power jumped from a 1 to a 3 in a matter of a couple of weeks…got over 300 posts and over 100 rep points…
nice… and could you tell me how they go down? 
If you drop below 10 you have 0 rep points until you get repped back up to 10.
I suppose if you got negged down from 101 to 99 points, you’d lose rep power, too, though I haven’t noticed that happening.

Do their points go up when you rep them, and by how much? I wonder if maybe you just can’t neg-rep someone until you get 10 points back?
uh.. I havent checked really… but it’s weird then because I can normally click on rep. and write some comment and send rep.. hm, oh well =/ I guess I have to wait till I get my stuff and make some good posts.
That’s your rep power. You can give an indefinate amount of reputation to people, but not the same person twice.
You have to distribute enough points around before you can rep the same person again. I don’t think there is a limit on how many people you can rep in a set time period.
I’ve given 5 people rep in one day at 4 points a pop. There were a lot of good posts that day.
