The A314 saga continues. I luurrrvvvee this stuff! ![]()
So I was in the shopping mall, taking advantage of the retail crisis and some ridiculously cheap prices. I was looking for a new pair of boots and other things I needed.
Having just attended another interview, I was fully suited and booted in full alpha mode. Sharp suit, shiny boots, overcoat and of course, the now obligatory 2 drops of A314, one behind each ear and streaked downwards.
Nothing to report of any interest at the interview. It was late afternoon, the interviewer was visibly tired and just wanted to get off home. Pretty dull guy. Don’t think I’ll be working there anytime soon.
I walked past a woman in her early 30s. Dark hair, jeans, blouse and Ugg boots. Nice va-va-voom figure. She was dragging round some guy, probably her husband, who was completely out of it. Typical bored male prisoner on a woman’s shopping spree, acting as a beast of burden, and carrying an armful of her purchases while she executes a full-on commando raid on the store that would impress the SAS. Probably on his credit card, the douche. Completely dead-eyed.
We walk past each other, going down the centre aisle in opposite directions. Hubby following meekly two paces behind her on her left. Our eyes met, and we gave each other a polite nod to acknowledge each others presence. Her eyes flicker down and then back up, a small smile on her lips. I returned the faint smile which was met by a wider smile of her own.
We brush past each other and she appeared to take a deep breath. I continued past and down a side aisle, crouching down to look at a pair of boots in my size at floor level. 60 seconds later, she appears at my side, explaining that she’s looking for a pair for hubby, do I know of a pair worth getting because you look like a very well-dressed guy.
I look over my shoulder and leaned over to the side, looking back up the centre aisle. Hubby’s standing about 10 metres away like an automaton with no instructions, apparently unaware she’s gone elsewhere. I point to a pair about 2 metres away and say they might suit him.
“Thanks!” she says, now with a full beam smile. I’m suddenly aware that she’s leaning over parallel with the floor. Her dark hair cascaded like a waterfall. She was giving me a very good view down the front of her blouse. The caveman at the back of my head growled and the fire started to run through my blood.
“You’re very welcome,” I said chivalrously, forcing my gaze up, looking her full in the eyes and responding with a quick grin of my own. I switched it off but maintained eye contact until her gaze flickered again.
I remembered congruency and looked away at the boots again, apparently unimpressed by her displaying. I pick up the pair of boots I wanted and turn to leave. She was looking at the boots I pointed out for her, not crouching down like I was, but bending over again to present a very shapely butt aimed in my direction. She had no need to do that. She could just bend her knees, not her back, and crouch like everyone else. She just had to display.
I walk over to the checkout and stand in the queue. I do a casual scan of the store, just taking an interest in my surroundings and catch her eye again from across the store. She’s watching me, although she didn’t move from where I left her. Hubby’s still running on clockwork and needed winding up. He hadn’t moved in five minutes. Somebody wind up his mechanism, LOL!
I walked out thinking that was a good hit.
