So, the pretty little middle eastern waitress that gave me her number while wearing P83 had been texting me back and forth. we finally set something up a couple of days ago, for yesterday. the agreement 2 days ago, was that she would text me once she was off work, and we were going to sort out where to meet.
so yesterday, she got off work and text me. it went something like “I’m off work now, heading home, ill call you once i figure out what my roommate is doing” mind you that was the first text from her that day. (figured it was a good sign she didnt forget to text me)
however, that was the last i heard of her. no text like “cant make it” or anything. nothing at all. considering flaking is very rude to me, i havent called her, not yesterday night, and not today. so far, i havent recieved a text from her either.
she is not interested anymore which happends, or she is pulling your strings for you to make a move
she did text you, therefore you do have her number, call her in a day or two, if she doesnt pick up the phone, text her, if she doesnt not reply, forget about her
Maybe her “roomate” is <insert name of a very attractive male celebrity here>
…you do live in Hollywood, CA, so I wouldn’t doubt it. When you live in LA and those areas, you know where the celebs are at. I’ve ran into my share of Laguna Beach cast while I lived near there. (edit: not that I dated any of them though )
could she have lost interest in less than an hour of texting me? i only responded with “ok” when she told me she was going to call after she checked with her roommate.
I don’t know the context, but if she unambiguously wants to see you why would she need to check with her roommate? i have found the ‘let me give you a call when i am off work’ route to be much less fruitful than arranging something concrete for particular time and venue. (it’s probably a demi-generational thing and perhaps i am old fashioned, but I find phone calls better than texts. you have more of an opportunity to generate attraction via your voice, dhvish stories and bantering and it seems more real than a message from the ether). so tbh i think she was already deciding to flake that morning.
one approach would be to reframe - call her in a few days and apologize for not calling/flaking on her. something crazy came up and <insert dhv spikes here> possibly it’s not a good habit to start getting into - playing childish games - but otoh why not experiment.
