ICM 0.25.X - Wooot! All four mixes!

http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/3004/250262089465650414c9dx5.jpg

Oh look - what’s this? grins

It’s… drum rolls ToGo 5ml bottles of:
ICM 0.25.1a
ICM 0.25.1b
ICM 0.25.5a
ICM 0.25.5b

For those of you who don’t know the ICM 0.25.X’es, you can check out SteveO’s thread at "Oh, you smell like Sex! What's your name?" - basically it’s like super amazing kaloopa resultant phero mix… and well, requires like 8 different pheros to mix em all.

(PS: for those of you wanting to try to mix ourself. PLEASE buy all equal mcg’s. it really sucks having to spray different mcg’s together and multiplying them. can get sticky - drips and all)

Also, if you wanna mix it by spraying (not dropper or pipette) like mark does, remember to tilt the togo bottle, and the 30ml bottle - or else it’ll drip out of the nozzle of the 30ml. and you don’t want that. Essentially during spraying, the two bottles form an inverted “V” - like this —> /\

Try to keep the “depth” you push the nozzle down constant, since.. well, you want constant dosages. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh yes, MARK! thanks for the recipes  As you can see, I’ve turned them into very nice togo bottles.. only problem was the TAC. itchy finger went to order 30mcg instead of 15mcg, and apparently my mixes arent proportionate :stuck_out_tongue: some bottles have more than the other bottles… but that’s alright

Okay guys, anyone has any tips on using ICM?

Well Hot_wired, sorry i don’t have any tips for ICM but one thing i must say is those bottles by the way you labeled & how much effort you took to make them look so cool & deserved reps for it  So reps for this

THat seems great! nice job on the mix  Deserve some reps

I really dont understant this paragraph, can you reexplain this one? Thank you

Like this, dude  To prevent spillage!

Whoa buddy, detailed image there  Well Mockingbird will understand that for sure.

Nice work.

I might have a few suggestions on how to use, but later. Today I’ll be spending time with dad.

Oh and wink, wink: SteveO came up with a recent MX that makes the ICM series look childlike. It’s FPP2X and soon I will be releasing preliminary findings. Before that though I will be sending a bottle out for secondary testing to Dr. Love. Always unbiased and always on target. The Doctor is in the house!

Lol I get it! Great effort for this

What I do withou pipette is:

Unscrew both bottle, take the atomizer from the big bottle and aim it using the non-spraying end tube to the to-go bottle. Press half way down the atomizer, and the content in the tube will go out the other way, not spraying out.

Then I go back to the blue bottle and release the atomizer button, so new pheromone will be sucked into the tube and repeat again.

I mostly need to do this 5 times to get like 1 ml. But it goes fast and NO WAY of spill at all!

My phero mixing stuff and the blue bottle is SteveO’s ICM mix ICM 0.25.5a.
Pipette is 500uL with 500 or 600 pipette tips. I forget how many I got. Pipette tips are 100-1000ul.
Might spend some money and get a variable volume pipette, maybe 100-1000ul variable volume. Make things a lot easier.
Hoping to try out his new mix with the two other molecules and now he throws out an EVEN better mix. WHY STEVE? WHY? I hope you release the formula soon! =D

Pffft. i want that mix SteveO!!! :stuck_out_tongue:
Put it in the mixes section and i’ll grab it in like 30 seconds alright steve? haha!

FPP2X.. Female Powerful Potion 2x? :stuck_out_tongue: Female Phero Pudgie 2x? Flying Pheromone Potion 2x?

nice way of doing it dude  when i messed around with the bottles just now - i got my fingers full of phero juices =x and now, it’s like 2am and i’m smelling of ICM^4 (4 ICM’s combined together = ICM (power of 4)) hahaha!

wait.. if you’re wanting 1ml.. why didnt you get a pipette?

yes zeph :stuck_out_tongue: sometimes ignorance is bliss. blah. which are the two molecules you wanted to throw in, by the way?

takes out a large razer blade and prepares to throw it at SteveO… JKJKJKJK =x hopefully we can add on molecules to this mix (since we haven’t used it) and turned it up a lil.

eh, that pipette is SWEET. i feel like grabbing one off a drugstore now

oh, SteveO I presume and Mark have an updated version of the 2 of the 4 mixes. They have either changed the ratio of the original recipe OR have added 2 new molecules OR have DONE BOTH. So its essentially an entire new mix.
The problem with the pipette I have is that is a fixed volume pipette. I don’t think drugstores sell them. You can look for them online, they can be anywhere from 40-1000 dollars. Depends on what you’re looking for. I’m thinking of getting a new variable volume pipette so I don’t have to ratio everything and get everything in the same mcg.

if i remember correctly.. from chem class, variable pipettes are WAY more expensive.. however they aren’t as accurate as fixed pipettes and the measurements are much (larger)?

wouldnt that mean, essentially, we gotta experiment with more pheros (in volume) than mere ml’s?

variable pipettes aren’t that much more expensive. I’ve found a few for around 100 and the accuracy is .5% less. This makes a huge difference when working with mcg doses above 100mcg IMO. When you’re mixing pheromones accuracy is important in big amounts. Keep in mind x mcg of a pheromone is a CONCENTRATION of pheromones. When you mix x ml of something that is a volume. You want accuracy because say you’re working with 1000mcg, .5% error comes down to 5mcg. If you’re working with say -none, 5mcg can be a lot. I work with 10mcg doses right now, planning on upping all my next orders to 50mcg. The accuracy of the pipette is around +/- 1%, variable is 1.5% so I’m only getting .75mcg of error when working with 50mcg.

Also, keep this in mind, if you get a lower concentration of a pheromone, you cannot increase it’s concentration. So if a mix calls for 50mcg of a spray, there is no way you can get that in one spray out of a 10mcg bottle. You must spray it 5 times. The only way to increase concentration is if you have PURE pheromone and add that to it, or say you add 100mcg concentration to it to get a 50mcg concentration or if you can somehow decrease the amount of solvent in it.

When it comes to mixing its basically algebra. The more pheromones you want to add and the more varying concentrations you have, the more math it is and more complicated it becomes.

re-reads message like, 3 times

wow. okay. this is educational. i shall scribble that down in my little black book of pheromone tips and tricks. lolol.

hmm. you are right. how about if we use sprays (to measure) instead? the concentrations will still be affected and have a larger room for error, yes?
but assuming we are not working with pure pheros (i.e sprayed diluted pheros) that should reduce the error margin, then again?

see here’s the thing with using sprays, which I’m actually going to test as soon as school is done. There’s accuracy and there’s repeatability. You can get an ACCURATE pipette but it may not be able to REPEAT it that often. You can also get something that repeats very well but is NOT ACCURATE.

Generally going with the sprays is an ok idea. You’re using the same bottle/nozzle to spray it into the mix. So as long as your ratio is right, its fine. Just make sure you get it all in there.
I’m essentially doing the same thing. My pipette is 500ul, I can ONLY measure it in those amounts so I got all the same mcgs of the pheromones and just ratioed it. So like 5mcg none, 5mcg w/e else 4mcg, 3mcg, etc. I just did 5x 500ul of none, 4x 500ul of w/e and etc. With a variable volume pipette, I could have more flexibility in the concentration of my pheromones and how much I used.

What I want to do once school is over is to get a GOOD, ACCURATE measurement of how much a ToGo spray is and how much a full bottle spray is. So I’ll place say 5 mL of water in a bottle (if I have one thats empty) spray it, see how many sprays I get and do the math. Same with ToGos. I’m leaving some info out on how I will reduce errors cause it would just take too long to explain.

oh and it just sounds complicated cause you’re reading it. If you’re in a lab and had the tools to work with the stuff, its much easier. Its a lot like cooking, when you’re just reading the cook book and shit, it sounds confusing, but once you buy the stuff you’re going to cook with, have it in front of you, etc, its a lot simpler. I had a spreadsheet specifically for mixing but only a few people requested it. I don’t think it was popular cause it wasn’t what people were looking for, so I think I’ll make a new, updated one with a few ways to mix, including things for people who spray, things for people who use ToGos along with full size, etc.

Remember, you measure at the bottom of the meniscus for any cylindrical measuring tool, even pipettes.

deriw nice mixing

i do all my mixing with a syringe and a needle.
I will have to get some pipets and mixing supples soon.

steveO  waiting for your new mix !

Reps for the diagram Deriw. I use a little non reactive funnel in the to go to help reduce overspray. Good work!

Can you elaborate just a little on this renny? Seems interesting to reduce overspray or innacurate spraying. It happens all the time if i am careless that a spray is wasted in the air by completetly missing me :frowning: , especially with the to-go bottles

thanks dude  btw, whats a non reactive funnel?
