interesting test phase from just now, a few hours after original app.
time: 7:30p, 4 hours after app
location: gym
dose: original app, hands washed 2x.
(author’s note) there’s been a string of spring colds going around so i’ve been washing my hands rigorously and often the past week. i forgot i had roughly half the mix on my hand while washing and by the time i realized it, it was too late. the second time i washed my hands was for putting in my contacts so that was a given. i noticed i could still smell the scent after the second wash; however, this may or may not have meant the pheros were still there. combined with the original app on my neck, i’d say i was going in with 50-55% of a full mix.
two hits at the gym. unsure how much was related to the mix since there were too many confounding factors, but good hits nonetheless.
hit 1: some guy bigger than me asked me to spot him on a lift. i would say out of both hits, this one was the most related to the mix. i may have seen this guy a few times before. never talked to him, never spotted him before. i’m doing my thing and he actually walks across weight area to ask for a spot. i go and spot and he says thanks, then i go back to my area. as soon as i’m done with my set he appears again and asks for another spot. i was surprised at this point since a. there were plenty of guys around him (bigger than me, same size as him) for spotting, and b. he walked over not once but twice to ask for a spot. respect vibes? social vibes? again, not sure due to the uncertainties, but it’s something i can easily test again since i’m at the gym most days.
hit 2: less of a mix hit and more of circumstantial hit. usually a girl comes in with her trainer?/boyfriend?/both? to lift together. he’s a big dude and she’s a small girl, and when he’s around i can tell people want to peek at her but are afraid. today she came alone and tons of guys were looking. one guy even had the balls to go up to her and say “wow, i’ve never seen a girl lift before.”
idiot. anyway, this girl and her guy and i are considered regulars at the gym. many times when we pass each other we’ll smile. she chose a squat rack that faced a mirror and began her lifts. unintentionally, i picked a rack facing away from her but i could see her in my mirror, and she could see me in hers. i noticed many times she would glance or even look at me while doing her squats. i did my very best not to look her way in the mirror – staring at a girl in the mirror while she is doing squats in tight pants is the very definition of creepy and obvious. still, by nature of my lift (barbell rows) i had to keep my head up and occasionally we would match glances. smiles all around.
later on she switched to cleans but stayed at the same rack. i moved over to the padded area to do deadlifts, and we no could no longer see each other in the mirrors. the “hit” part comes in here – on her breaks, she would stand up, drink from her bottle, and just look/face my way. i mean sure, now my butt was up in the air
but it was her turn to be creepy and obvious. i didn’t have any reason to look around so i just kept facing forward but she was in my peripheral vision and i could see her watching me.
while still a hit, i don’t know much i can attribute to the mix. since she was alone, you could say she had more leeway to look around at other guys. additionally, she saw me spotting the other guy and knows i’m a regular like her so maybe she was just looking for familiarity (no other “regulars” around at the time).
i didn’t notice many scent changes (pos/neg) as the sweat started. also of note is that i didn’t notice a scent “cloud” either like i usually do when my body heat goes up. maybe this half oil-based scent/spray stays closer to the skin, and possibly truer to the original than a full spray? (e.g. no changes)
i really like this original vetiver and it’s definitely on my list of creed samples to get. it feels as sexual as akuto but not quite as blatant. also, i think the oil factor may have something to do with it as well. it’s a silkier scent like a314, not quite as “in your face” as a spray.
