I’m so not usually a TAL girl. It usually just makes me extremely irritable and ready to lash out at anyone that I generally don’t mess with MX134/300 or IS/A too much. Today, however, I didn’t really care if I was irritable or lashed out at anyone. I was ready to bite anyone’s head off and spit nails to begin with.
My boss decided to tell me that she doesn’t believe me when I say I’m swamped with work, and now I have to document every minute of my time from the time I arrive to the time I leave. This is for the forseeable future. The only people I know of who have had this sort of requirement brought down upon them are no longer with the company, so I have reason to be upset and angry over this. I’ve never received a verbal or written warning, however, so the axe cannot fall immediately. Oh, and did I mention I did absolutely nothing wrong? Another supervisor I’ve been assigned to helping when I have time has been angling to get a full time assistant, so he’s said a couple of times that I’m not available to him as much as he needs. That plus the fact that a project I was supposed to work on Tuesday was rescheduled for another day leaves my boss thinking I’m not actually doing anything. Oh, did I also mention this boss is actually never on-site where the work is done, so has no idea what goes on? She actually thinks a couple of people who sit on the internet for half their day are motivated workers. She has no clue, and doesn’t care to acquire one.
Anyway.
I’ve been playing around with p87 and p103 and thought they might make a good combo for work. This morning I sprayed:
2 sprays MX300 to the back of the head
1 spray p103 @ 12.5mcg to my chest
2 sprays p87 @ 12.5mcg to the back of my head
I was so calm throughout the morning, despite the fact that I wanted to cry from frustration when I woke up. I spoke with a couple of supervisors about this issue, and was assured by both of them that there was no way I was going to be fired over this. Assured in a way that implied “let that boss try, and I will be there to intervene!”
A couple of coworkers were flabbergasted when I told then what was going on. Not that I think they wouldn’t be if I was phero-free, but they were downright angry to hear about this. Much more so than I think one would expect from such a sullen, me-first and the gimme-gimmies environment we work in. It felt like I was amassing my own army.
When I typed up my detailed time account, I made sure to account for every bathroom break, every half-minute drink break I took, etc. One of my coworkers suggested I go as far as saying what I did in the bathroom, but that may have pushed the envelope a tad too far. ![]()
