Indication of Interest

During the past few months of using pheros my senses were keen as ever. I was mostly interested in detecting IOIs from females either at work or social environments, but I can’t help and wonder what are some of the “subtle” IOI’s. I’ve read some excerpts from books and articles and most here know the following are obvious IOIs:

Playing with hair, pupil dilation (more blinking than usual), physical touch (rubbing, holding hands, etc), big smiles when approached, going out of their ways to be with you, complement on scent while wearing pheromones , etc.

Recently I found out that when someone mimics your body language, that is also a subtle IOI (person mimicking is not aware consciously, but at a subconscious level she is attracted). For instance, when I grab a pen, few seconds later attracted person grabs her pen; when I sit back, few seconds later she does the same. At one time, while I was walking I tested this girl by constantly changing the rate of my walking speed; I knew this girl was attracted to me, and needless to say she matched every part of my move and she wasn’t even aware of it.

Other subtle body language IOIs that I know of are following:

Open wrist towards the person interest, legs crossed to reveal more legs or crossed leg is pointed towards the person attracted to, during conversation her chest is completely faced towards you, etc.

I know this IOI subject constantly appears on this forum, but I wanted to gather everyone’s thought on this subject matter. If you know something that most of us here doesn’t know, please share with us. Also, feedbacks from female users will be greatly appreciated.

Not-so-subtle, but if you’re not tuned in you won’t notice it.

Standing or sitting next to you, while apparently not paying attention to you. Then if they leave, it’s to somewhere you will “coincidentally” bump into them again.

Generelly mirroring is an ioi, but when it comes to things like walking next to eachother its to commen to be able to distinguish betwen an ioi and ordinary behavior, its like sitting in the theater and clapping after the show and thinking “Oh yea, they all love me, they are clapping the same tact as me”
for some reason, when people walk next to eachother, they usually subconsously match both speed and style of movement.

but e.g. when your talking to some1 and they are standing more or less excactly like you, then you can count it as an ioi, or if you take a drink from a glass/bottle and they do the same.

When it comes to ioi’s you havnt mentioned theres, two that comes to mind, firstly, if they are pointing either theire whole body or just hips and up towards you, and that way giving you theire full attention.

Also when your talking in a group of like 3 people and your standing up, notice wheire theire feet are pointing, if your making a triangle with your feet then it means everyone is paying about the same amount of attention to everyone els, if they have theire feet pointing towards eachother, its a iod (indicator of disinterest) and if they both have booth theire feet pointing towards you it means that your the center of the group.

Made a quite interesting experiment with the last one a few months ago, i was standing at a trainstation either reading a book or working with my laptop these 3 girls came and stood infront of me and talked, we were making a diamond shape, but they had theire triangle closed of pretty masivly with the two girls closest to me having theire backs turned, i tried turning my side to them slowly, and they then opened the group up quite visibly, having feet turned towards me, and fronts slightly more towards then towards the middle girl, i slowly turned back again, and they closed off again, did that like 5-10 times until the train came, found it quite fascinating how they kept doing it, and they didnt even look like they noticed ^^

I was just mentioning this in another thread but I will say it again.

A girl who is interested in you and is not totally outgoing is going to use the quick glance method. She will pretend to ignore you but keep glancing at you to see if your looking at her. Let her catch you looking and smile. Then she will start to display all those other signs like playing with her hair or smiling at you ect…

Its different with women over about 35. They are more mature and confident and have more life experience so they will be a little more blantant. They wont glance away when you smile at them and make eye contact.

Of course there are always a few exceptions to the rule. Some young girls will be outgoing and mature for there ages. Some older women may be a little shy still but I would say in at least half the population of women that I know they still use the quick glance.

Tisha

Tisha. I have a question in regard to glance.

Let’s say that you look at a girl and she sees you looking at her, but quickly turns away. I read from the source that if she looks down for a brief moment after the eyes meet, then it is an IOI. If not, and she just quickly turns away, then it is IOD. You think this is true?

With the glance, you can’t boil it down so specifically- wherever she looks, it really doesn’t matter. I’d venture to say that some women always look down and some women just look away. The direction they look could very well matter with some women, but you’re never going to be able to tell one from the other.

The real kicker is when she looks at you, you catch her as she turns away, and then she gives you that second look.
