I've always wondered:Mystery Boy

Does anyone know exactly what is in that stuff? AFAIK Androtics is the only place to make a mone product for homosexual men. No idea, just curious.

Bi-Curious, are you?

Gay men like men, so “male” pheromones tend to be as attractive to gay men, as they are to hetero women.

HOWEVER, the gay culture is very unlike hetero culture.

Our gay testers reported increased attraction with most of our male products – including A314 – but with unwanted side effects, including acts of male aggression.

Not the kind of male aggression they actually want.

Gay men may be sexually aggressive with each other, but we’ve been told that bar fights and untoward social behavior is VERY unusual at gay bars and clubs.

On the contrary, if you go out at any popular time to hetero bars, you’ll always run into a bar brawl somewhere. You’ll always see “chivalrous” and outright physical aggression and social dominance of one sort or other, from hetero man to hetero man.

Hetero men like to “dominate” each other socially, and will hurt each other as a display of physical prowess. They’ll actually do it to impress women.

On the other hand, gay men don’t participate in behaviors this (in public, anyway). In public, they tend to be friendly with each other. Much more carefree and accepting of each other. They go out to have fun, and there’s no need for display of public prowess or domination.

So for Mystery Boy, we used a mix of primarily “male” pheromones, and a large amount of Instant Shine, on a base of comforting, “fun” female pheromones – someone like what you’d find in the B mix of Instant Sexiness.

It works well, but not everyone likes the scent (which is the same as found in Ammunition).

They gay community tends to embrace anything and everything from Calvin Kline (CK), so we’re going to switch over to something more those fragrances in a future version. (CK scents tend to be simpler, and more “toned down” than what you find in cool smelling Ammo)

Interesting. Thanks.

Would Etiocholanolone (if it were available anywhere) be a useful addition to a gay product?

Rehashing one of Mtnjim’s posts:
Apparently gay men have been found to have much lower Androsterone-to-Etiocholanolone ratios than straight men.

To quote a researcher in the field, James V. Kohl:

“-nol and -none were discovered to be very effective as pheromones in pigs. With pheromones, species specificity is a general rule, so we can expect that -nol and -none would be somewhat less effective as human pheromones. Humans are unique among mammals in that we produce large quantities of the adrenal androgen: dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA),which breaks down into -rone and etiocholanolone (E). -rone/E ratios are higher in men compared to women, with homosexual men having ratios similar to women. Given a sufficient knowledge of neuroendocrine development and function -rone/E ratios clearly indicate that these metabolites of DHEA are most likely to play a role as human pheromones–with -rone playing its role as the most characteristically male pheromone.”

What happens if you add TAL to this mix

TAL in my experience really gets women going on a verbal level… all that normally repressed girly energy is licensed to fly and cleared for take off… dump in a load of TAL, add a round of high EtOH beverages and enjoy the party…:stuck_out_tongue:
