This past Friday night, I went to karaoke yet again. With the same group. This report kind of picks up where my last one leaves off. (Previously on “TheAttractor’s Karaoke Misadventures”: Hugely Polarized Hits After Getting Laid and Using P122 + Weird Reactions of my Own ) I met with the same karaoke group, mostly the same people from before. This time, there was no getting laid beforehand. Hence, no staring at streetlights or having tough youths avoid me. You kind of have to have read the previous report to get the references, as well as to understand the returning cast of characters. But if you’re pressed for time, then just enjoy this report.
Here’s what I wore:
Ammo: 3 sprays on front of neck
TUTH: <1 spray on forehead
IShine: 3 spray on sides on cheeks (combined)
And here’s what transpired:
Self
An interesting roller coaster, fluctuating between moderate agitation and ethereal relaxation. It was more of a kiddie roller coaster than a Six Flags one, though. It passed when I got to the karaoke place and downed a shot.
Popular girl in the group (returning character)
Demographic: Caucasian, early 30’s
My first hit came from the girl who made out with her friend (female) last time, to get a rise out of me. This time, as I got to the group table, she ran up to me, shouted “TheAttractor, my friend! How are you?”, and gave me the kind of hug football players give each other. There was no mockery (or sexual interest, for that matter) in her voice, so maybe she felt embarrassed about her actions last time and tried to smooth things out. I was in a good mood, and decided to accept what was essentially an unspoken apology.
Another girl in the group (new character)
Demographic: African American, early 30’s
The hit was even more blatant with her. She said she remembered me from last time, and said sorry we didn’t get to do a duet together. Reason for not asking her the other night was that she was with a guy (who mouthed “no!” when I walked past them), but she clarified she was single. Throughout the night, she showed an inordinate comfort with me initiating kino and returning it: hand on her shoulder, hand on the small of her back, and cheeky dancing onstage. At the end, I thought it was odd that she preferred to message through the group website instead of exchanging numbers, but whatever.
Guys in the group (mostly returning, two new)
Demographics: Caucasian and Asian, late 20’s to late 30’s
The guys were talking to me like I was a combination of a wise elder and a small town football coach. We ended up having some great conversations. Especially when I gave them some karaoke tips, during which I went off on tangents about music theory and psychology, which they seemed to be fascinated by. As usual, I got massive rounds of applause, and it sounded like the guys applauded louder than the girls. Strangers in the bar even got in on the applause when I danced with the last girl while singing.
Bartenders:
Demographics: Caucasian, mid 20’s
The bartenders—one guy, two girls—were giving me lightning-fast service. The minute I went up to the bar, one of them would make eye contact and walk toward me, then bring my beer in under 30 seconds. Even though the place was pretty busy that night. I gave a great tip at the end of the night to return the goodwill.
TL;DR version:
- The girl who tried to mess with me last time was acting in a playfully bro-like way with me.
- A girl who remembered me from last time actually acted to go sing a duet with me, which I obliged.
- Guys in the group thought I was cool and listened to me intently.
- Bartenders gave me lightning-fast service.
Questions/comments:
I think it’s all pretty clear this time. The androsterone in Ammo made me look masculine and cool. The androstenone in Ammo and TUTH made me look confident and strong. And the TAA in IShine made me fun to be around.
