This is the best yet with even more idiot-proofing and a modern interface.
I removed the older versions from the download website as there is currently no reason for using them when I have released much more powerful versions.
The file is also attached to this post for those who are having trouble downloading from rapidshare. I had to attach it as ‘mp3’ as this forum only allows files larger than 300 KBs for mp3 format. So, download the file and rename the extension from ‘mp3’ to ‘zip’. Then unzip.
wow thanks, did not see this calculator since now. Could you maybe add a portable version? A version without Installer? I hate this installer thing, nobody needs this and every program has it
Nbully can you provide the link to the important files the installer needs to install the calculator? When I deleted the old mix calculators to avoid clutter I think it uninstalled them.
Once you unzip the file, check in the folder ‘Application Files’ within the unzipped folder. Here you will find a folder called ‘MixCalculator_8_0_0_1’. This contains the executable ‘MixCalculator.exe’ which you can run directly without installing.
Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.VirtualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs Version 9.0.0.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first.
Ok guys, I noticed that the shape bars that I had included in the interface to give it a more modern look had backfired as it required the user to install extra components. I created a new version without those shape bars as they were only visual and had nothing to do with the functionality. I tested this new version on two of my computers (both PCs, XP and Windows 7) and it runs fine without me having to install anything else.
Please download the latest version from the modified link in the first post. I have taken TheNiteHawk’s advice and now the program can be run directly without having to install it. A quick feedback from users who were having trouble with the earlier version would be highly appreciated.
Awesome fast support
Runs perfect now, no problems, except that my Norton says the file does some suspicious actions, but i think the Norton is just a little bit to careful
Thanks for your feedback!
I wonder what suspicious actions Norton is trying to indicate. Is it just because it’s an unsigned executable?
I have McAfee on one computer and AVG on another and I don’t get any prompts or warnings.
I don’t know. It is from the new SONAR System. This tries to detect dangers even if they are not known, kinda heuristic system. These can’t work perfect
I think you use any procedure calls or whatever which are typical.
Hi Mikotorocks, I attached the file to my first post so you can directly download it from here without having to go to rapidshare. You just have to rename the file extension from ‘mp3’ to ‘zip’ before unzipping.
